Our order consisted of the "Fun Guy" burger, a huckleberry milkshake, the kid's grilled cheese, and the kid's PB&J. The burger was mediocre at best. The sautéed mushrooms and grilled onions were tasty, but the small patty size left the burger without any real taste of beef. The grilled cheese must have been made in the Fun Guy burger grease, as it tasted more like a burger than a grilled cheese. The PB&J was served with the heel, resulting in a bread to PB&J ratio that was too much bread. The fries and milkshake were good. I was really on the fence between 3 and 4 stars. If there was a 3.5 option, I would have chosen it. I chose 4 because it's 2 days after Christmas. Stopped in to get an order to go. Food quality and taste were very good. My problem is the prices, $25 for a cheeseburger, small fry and a chocolate shake, Definitely restaurant prices. I asked for my order to go when they brought out my shake it looked great, really good size, but it was in a glass and not to go. When I reminded them it was to go they said no problem, but when they came back with it in a plastic cup it shrunk by two thirds. It wasn't even 1/2 the size of the original one they brought me. They did forget our drinks and we had to remind them several times to get them. They need to dial in the service a bit but other than that it's a great place for lunch! Every time I eat here it's disappointing. I love a good burger and fries. The burger is dry and flavorless with added burnt seasoning from the grill. Not a good combo. Plus every time I ask for cheddar instead of American cheese they don't do it. Gross. It always takes a long time to be served and the size is mediocre. Fries are good size, and pretty tasty when immediately served but if you don't eat within exactly 3 min, they become stale and hard as rock. Weird... freezer issue? I hate giving bad reviews but don't waste your money here. I don't blame the kids making the food. They just weren't trained how to make decent food. We've all had jobs when we were very young and if you didn't have the right training, you sucked at it. Totally not your fault. About the food; burger was over cooked and dry, fries were over salted to the point of being inedible. And to top it off, I waited for almost 30 minutes when they really weren't that busy. I am not a vegetarian but I love the portobello burger.( I only kinda wish there was a chicken option but it's such good food it's ok!) I get peanut butter& put a touch of hot sauce on it instead of the usual sauce-they have a burger with peanut butter that is amazing and why I decided to try on the portobello. Sounds a bit odd but it's great. The fries are super delicious and hand cut. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is so clean and fresh. The chef is also the cleanest I have ever seen. Actually changes gloves before touching something different every single time. And washes his hands constantly! It's fantastic to see that especially nowadays. Everything is always cooked perfectly. A good experience all around. I visit often as my parents are locals. After over 20 years coming out I know what's good around Sandpoint. Burger Dock is great.Try sitting on the patio overlooking the lake on a nice day. It's beautiful scenery and delicious food. Not impressed at all. I took my daughter here for Lunch on 6/7/19 and we both got the Fun Guy a large fry to share and my daughter got the Oreo shake. Overall the place is cute and has a ton of potential. The staff was okay not very friendly but not rude either there were a couple of mistakes made when taking our order but the cashier was new so I won't count that against them. Wait times are longer then I would have thought. We had a pretty long wait before we got our food and there were only a couple of people ahead of us. I was not impressed with the burgers. Patties are on the smaller side. Both burgers were overcooked it was like a piece of cardboard between two buns. They kept using the burger presses though draining out any sort of flavor and juices. The greens were soggy and it was probably one of the worst burgers I have ever gotten in a while. It has potential to be a great burger all of the flavors were there it was just an overcooked soggy mess. For a $10 burger, I would have expected way better. The fries were soggy and greasy which is so sad because I love fresh cut fries a large fry will run you $5 which is okay. The Oreo shake was very small for the $6.50 price tag and we were so disappointed and it wasn't very good. You can go to other local ice cream places spend way less and get a great shake and service with a smile. Price wise for two people we paid $37 for overcooked burgers soggy fries a bad shake and lemonade which was the best part. I am so bummed that this place isn't better we will not be returning. I expected better cheese it tasted like craft singles. For a 10.50 burger the Taste was just ok nothing special. The bacon was floppy and way undercooked. I sat directly behind the grille at the bar and watched how they were being made. Keeping on smashing the flavor out of it was mind boggling. The fries were soggy too. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Me and my friends came many hours to eat at this restaurant. We walked in the restaurant at 5:30 p.m. We ordered our food at 5:40 p.m. They gave us our table number and told us it was going to be a long wait but we said it was fine because we had nothing else better to do. We had already gone boating that day so we were very hungry and eager. We heard great things about the restaurant so we were willing to wait. There were many other large group getting there food so we became suspicious. It had already been 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES. We went to the cashier to ask if our food was coming soon. A tall man with blue eyes and blonde hair said he would check. He looked around, told us he couldn't find it, and went to the back room for 5 minutes. We waited longer. When this man eventually came back he had 3 milkshakes and walked right past us. We went back to the cashier and the other man working with brown hair and a red bandana said we could re-order our food and it would be out soon. We continued to wait. After another 45 minutes we became furious. But of course we kept our cool. We were done. We asked if our food was close to being ready yet we kept getting the same answer. "It'll be 10-20 minutes". At 8:00 p.m. we asked for a refund. We asked the girl who took our order at 5:40 p.m. She was rude and unapologetic. We didn't care that we had been waiting and waiting. When we explained that our order receipts had been lost she continued to be rude say "Our system is slow". EXCUSE ME BUT WE ASKED ABOUT OUR ORDER 3 TIMES. We got our refund and left immediately. We were so hungry from waiting we had no choice but to go to McDonald's. At McDonald's our order only took five minutes. Don't go to burger dock go to McDonald's. read more
