Husband said the cook looked annoyed. Fries came back and were the exact same ones as before but it was clear they had been nuked in the microwave. Salt packets were thrown into the bag. The sandwich was made correctly this time, but it just wasn't good anyway. It tasted microwaved. The bread was soft and mushy, bacon was undercooked and just so much grease. Disgusting. I'll never come back.

The fries tasted like they had been sitting around and reheated. They were stiff, dry, and definitely didn't taste fresh. The zucchini fries had the same issue. The burgers were just okay--nothing terrible, but nothing that really stood out either. It's a cool concept and a great name for a burger joint, but unfortunately, the food was pretty underwhelming. The people hat work here take extra care and remember me! They are ahead of me even asking for that extra step so that I don't feel like a giant inconvenience by grabbing a clean knife and changing their gloves. They wipe dowh the sandwich board and pull out a piece of butcher paper to make my sandwich and I can't tell you how much I am grateful for that. So often I feel like my need for the extra steps is annoying to quick service restaurants who have to stop their flow to help me. Never at this location! I try to always go at off times to not slow down their rush service hours but even with that I never feel I have to here. To top it off, the restaurant is always incredibly clean, the veggies are super fresh, and they are rarely "out" of anything.

The bun in Downey tasted a little more chewy and less flavorful! Rankings so far: 1. Philly's Best Cheesesteak (Irvine, CA) 2. South Philly Experience (Los Angeles, CA) 3. Philly's Best Cheesesteak (Downey, CA) I'll provide another update in 2-3 weeks! All 3 locations provide a good overall experience though.
