She was abused and then dumped at a shelter where she stayed for about a year before we got her and she's okay around dogs but is shy with people. We wanted an afternoon at the Aquarium--and Melissa's reviews were great, so we reserved time with her. She arranged her schedule to accommodate us and even made time the afternoon before to come by and take our girl for a walk, load her in her car for a short drive and a walk away from us, sent photos, and returned her. When Melissa came to pick up our girl, Abby's tail wagged so fast and her body wiggled. She gave Melissa a hug that she usually reserved for us! While we were at the Aquarium, we got lots of happy, relaxed dog photos and updated. When we met up, to retrieve her, Abby was more interested in sniffing than seeing us--she was exhausted and that happy! I will call Melissa any time we are in Carmel. She's fantastic.

Barb sets up an obstacle course for the dogs and everyone gets three runs through the course. No pressure and no experience necessary. Our dogs love it, too. I think it really gave them a confidence boost to tackle the obstacles. Unlike at the vet's office, the dogs can't wait to get inside! That should give you an idea of the atmosphere. Barb also offers a variety of classes to keep your dog stimulated like scent class and obedience. Of course, she also does consultations if you need something specific. Most people know Barb for her love of Rottweilers. Her dogs are well behaved and loving towards her. If you know anything about dogs, you know that they are honest about relationships. Her dogs love her. Our dogs ADORE her. You couldn't be in better hands. Take it from the dogs.

I have a very reactive Pomeranian and we did the assessment first and he was cleared to participate in the group classes. I bought 10 classes for Obedience 1 and I like how you can go at your own pace with your dog while still getting the benefit of desensitizing him in the company of other dogs. They have given me such helpful tips for my dog that I'm already seeing small improvements. It's a marathon not a race but I'm so thankful for the guidance and help. My dog has never gone to any sort of obedience training and I think the set up and tools they use is far above what could be offered at a big box pet retailer. Not only do they have group classes but they have agility courses, private lessons, and special classes. I think the pricing is very reasonable and worth the investment in having good boys and good girls.

I even founded and ran my own rescue organization many years ago (Tails of Love), and my focus was rescuing the dogs who were dumped and then overlooked by adopters and other rescues (DOGS: Discarded and Overlooked Get Saved). Now I have a gifted child who is also neurodivergent and has significant sensory processing issues, OCD, and accompanying severe anxiety. I needed an "ideal" dog to train as a service dog, and since he will eventually be in school with her for many years, he has to be a low-shedding breed. I looked and looked in my networks and couldn't find a suitable candidate. I finally turned to RW&D, and I cannot find the words to adequately express what a dream our whole experience has been!!! Our tiny puppy is perfect, and already great with the potty training. We can't wait to start our service dog training when little Griffin (formerly San Luis Obispo from the Surf's Up litter) is old enough. I still believe wholeheartedly in adopting from shelters or rescues, but this experience opened my mind. Sometimes there's a need to buy, and if you are going that route, do not look further. Even if you have to wait, it's worth it! Hillarie and Warren are amazing. Take it from me. I rail and rage against the endless backyard breeders, and I can confidently state that this is not a backyard breeder. This is ethical, extremely conscientious and passionate breeding!
