Amber Marquez is amazing!! I booked an appointment with her on a whim to fix my year-old streaky quarantine hair, and she definitely worked some magic. I used to visit stylists in San Jose as they're more familiar with handling Asian hair, but I think I've found THE place - and so close to home! As a first time client to the salon, I only have good things to say. Not one flaw from the moment I entered the salon to when I walked out. They are operating with proper COVID-19 safety procedures in place, so I felt very safe in the space. Amber was kind, incredibly patient, receptive to my preferences, and made sure I was comfy along every step of the way. Tara is literally The Chemical Queen. She is the only hair stylist I have gone to for the past 3 years and the only one I trust to bring my naturally jet black hair to my wildest blonde [bronde] dreamz. The blend is always seamless for my highlights and the tone is always perfect. I'm continuously bringing a different blonde inspiration picture to Tara and she always comes through with a similar, if not better result than the inspo. The salon itself is hella cute. The washbowl where you lay your head down to be rinsed is hella comfortable! They offer wine. The people working there are sweet. The prices are high but for the knowledge of hair and knowledge of color that Tara holds, it's definitely worth it. I don't know if I would trust anyone else with my hair. read more

I recently moved to Dublin from Modesto, California the last couple months. I was very hesitant to find a hair stylist here. The lady I was seeing since junior high went on disability for her cancer treatments. I searched Instagram and here on yelp for a stylist and salon. One lady I talked to very sweet said she couldn't take anymore clients, but suggested the Bungalow to me. I looked at the Bungalow's IG page and felt like it would be a good fit for me. I contacted Hayley and she was kind and friendly and helped set up an appointment for me in a quick manner. My experience at the Bungalow was very inviting and special. It's hard for me to trust someone with my hair when I've been seeing my hair stylist Michelle half my life. Hayley though gave me a very thorough consultation and walked through color process and prices with me in a professional yet very personal and bubbly manner. All the girls in the salon are very nice and friendly as well. Tara the owner is very nice and is so knowledgeable. Hayley did wonders with my hair. She's a magician. I totally completely trust her with my hair!! And not that I just trust her but I felt something clicked when I came inside. I felt like the Bungalow will be my new salon home as long as I'm here in Dublin. Hayley took my brassy grown out blonde to a nice dark and dimensional brunette to match my natural roots. Of course now I wanna go back a little lighter haha but I will post pics of a before selfie and pics of her work on my hair for an after. I feel horrible as I referred my friend to go here to get her hair done. I should have insisted she book only with my stylist Tara who is no longer there but she was persistent to book with Kary because her rates were cheaper and what she could afford.. The entire time she was sitting in her chair the girl was on her phone with her baby daddy and complaining to my friend about all her problems. Also my friend had to be somewhere and missed her ride because she kept stopping to take calls and texts from dude! She said at the end had I known she was going to charge me so much I would have said HEY do you mind finishing my hair and deal with your personal crap later! This is not why we spend good $ to get our hair done we come here to get away from our problems the last thing we want to hear is yours! When she was done she told my friend that will be $280 or some price WAY more then what she booked online. Kary explained well I did shading and this and that and my friend said im a single mom i cant pay $300 for my hair if that was the case id of booked w Tara why would you do all that id I did not ask for it then try to charge me. So she took off a few bucks if that. Total fraud!!!! Also if you pay close to $300 the least you can do is give them your devoted attention and time. SO unprofessional. read more

I texted her twice asking for availability and didn't get any response. I called the salon again and left a message asking for Tara to call me back.
