Details below: 1) The food took over an hour to come out (mind you, there were only 2 of us) 2) During that hour, our server never checked on us 3) AFTER the hour had passed, she came and told us it was being plated. 10 minutes after that with no food, my husband went in to check and they said it was coming out of the fryer... so not being plated 4) When the food FINALLY arrived, it was ass. Went here looking for a good Smashburger. The burger was decent, but it was more like a pressed down burger. Wasn't super thin and didn't have meat lace on the outer edges. The bun was thicker than I expected on the Smashburger. The fries were good as well Service was good, our orders came out hot and fairly quick. I guess I just wasn't overly impressed with the food, but nothing was really wrong with it either. Atmosphere was pretty decent, given off beach bar vibes. But once the karaoke started, it became very loud and uncomfortable. I guess I just didn't have it on my bingo card for karaoke at 2 PM. read more

The food was decent but what is confusing is they call themselves a cocktail bar but yet they didn't have a cocktail menu and when we asked the waitress about it she said we use to have cocktails but not right now? The Location For starters, the Laketown Wharf is a cool place, the inside bar was nice and the outside patio seating are had a decent view of the private lake. They had decent music playing inside and out, and inside they had all the typical bar-type games like billiards and darts. Looks like a cool hangout spot. There was a frat party going on the day we went and it looked like they were having a blast. Definitely somewhere I would go if I was with a group of friends. The Food The burger was good. I forgot to take a picture until after I took my first bites. It's a good burger. Good flavor, decent size, overall it's better than something I could make at home. The bread was delicious, it was indeed a good bun. The meat was well season and properly smashed. I also ordered chicken wings and got a mix of buffalo/garlic-parm and bbq. The bbq flavored was good. They weren't too small, though bigger wings would've been nice. Great flavor and well cooked. Exactly what I expect in wings. The Service Service was standard, hopefully what you'd expect from a server. Nothing over the top, and certainly not under, it was just right. The server came out about as much as we needed her to. Another man, possibly a manager or supervisor also came out to see if we were satisfied with the food, which was nice. Conclusion Will definitely return on my next vacation to PCB. We enjoyed it. Incredible food! Usually when I'm in PCB my biggest complaint is that it's hard to find good food, but the Bun Lab is breaks that stereotype. Best burgers in town! Honestly... maybe the best burgers I've ever had. Wagyu beef, smash burgers. Big portions. They come with fries, yam fries, or onion rings. You can also sub a salad as the side for a small up charge & their salads are GOOD! The onion rings are phenomenal as well. Everything I've tried has been good! The lab fries with bacon, the wings, the cali-pop bites... oh man!! Out of this world. Reasonably priced and it's BIG portions too, you're probably gonna need a to go box! Excellent drinks as well. Highly suggest the Lab Lemonade. It's a lavender, fresh house made lemonade with vodka. It's chilly and refreshing, a little sweet, a little sour and it hits the spot! The ambiance is incredible. Edison bulbs strung above the dining room, beautiful wood bar, bar stools that look like tree stumps, it's a place you feel cozy and want to stay a while. You can also play darts or pool. Great mix of music too. There's something for everyone. Service is awesome! Friendly people who want to take good care of you. Everything is made fresh, so sometimes they run out of things but the staff is always very upfront and will make suggestions. Highly recommend! read more

I tried The Bun Lab back in October and had a great experience. Went tonight and had a horrible experience. Service was not great, but I can overlook this, until I got the bill. $72 before tip for 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 side salads, 1 glass of Happy Hour wine and a soda! They advertise a Burger, fries and drink special for $12. Either my husband didn't get that or our server didn't enter anything right. Did not provide an itemized receipt either. We will not be back and will now remove this restaurant from our recommendations to our guests. Could have gone to a higher end restaurant for this price. With tip, we paid $91. Wait staff was mediocre at best and the cook refused to read the request on the tickets for the wait staff and everything was served incorrectly, including cheese on a smash burger that we sent back that he scraped off of and re-delivered it. absolutely terrible! If you have food allergies do not waste your time! Went there many times when they were under gunners and did not experience this problem. Not sure why they changed their name, but they need to reevaluate their staff. For being part of Laketown wharf, absolute disappointment. read more
