Very good authentic New Orleans food EVery dish is great The mixed drinks are on point It's pricey but what's not pricey now days They was short handed but the staff they did have was great

Three large pieces of chicken, absolutely smothered in rich white gravy atop a hearty portion of mashed potatoes.

This Panama City Beach spot is such an unassuming place. You would miss it if you weren't actively seeking it out. Immediately delighted once entering. It has a dark, speakeasy like vibe. You can even dress up without feeling like you're on display. We had such a great meal! The chicken fried chicken was absolutely incredible. It was huge, perfectly cooked, and smothered in a rich, flavorful gravy that made every bite pure comfort food. If you're craving something indulgent, this is the dish to order. I also have to mention the meatloaf because it completely surprised us. Seriously, who even orders meatloaf at a restaurant? We did, and it ended up being one of the best things on the table. It was tender, packed with flavor, and tasted like an elevated homemade recipe. The Boom Boom Shrimp was another standout. The shrimp were large, fresh, and cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crispy coating and sauce. The portions were easily five star. Come VERY hungry because you'll probably be taking food home otherwise.

We tried this place for the first time during dinner and were pleasantly surprised with everything. The inside has a nice ambiance and we were seated right away. Our server was attentive and gave good recommendations. We tried their boom boom shrimp appetizer, a couple of old fashioned drinks, and ordered their meatloaf entree and redfish and shrimp entree. Both come with ample vegetables and Cajun mashed potatoes. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. The vegetables were nicely seasoned and the shrimp and fish were great too. We weren't going to have dessert but our server recommended their Beignets with dipping sauces so we decided to try it. They were so good! Overall our experience was amazing and I would come back to try other things on the menu. See photos below.

I don't give out 1 star reviews lightly. Immediately after being seated, our server came to the table and said to me while pointing to my boyfriend, "Is he bothering you?"- an attempt at being funny I guess, didn't land well. There is no cocktail menu, we asked if they make espresso martinis, she said absolutely. What came was chocolate milk in a martini glass. I took one sip and had no interest in drinking it. She never asked how it was, seemingly never noticed the full cocktail that sat the rest of the meal. My boyfriend ordered the grouper entree and, because I wasn't very hungry and had read positive reviews, I ordered the flight of deviled eggs. Grouper entree was a large piece of grouper, covered with melted cheese over veggies and dirty rice. He said it was okay. I tried a bite- I would rate it 5/10. Nothing special. Deviled eggs: four "different" eggs that were all exactly the same just with a different topping. The Cajun seasoned one lacked any actual flavor, one had a large stale pork rind type thing stuck in it, one was a fried blob that tasted old, and the texture of the yolk mixture was weirdly pasty and had zero flavor. The eggs tasted old. These were horrible. I honestly do not know how anyone has recommended these- it's either a VERY off batch or people have never had actual good deviled eggs. Our server did not ever ask how the food was. When we were waiting for the bill, she came over and said "I'm sorry I've neglected you, that's unlike me." But then never asked if I needed anything, never refilled water, didn't ask how food was- just said that and walked away! Overall, the restaurant has a cute look to it, but the service and food were so bad I would never recommend it to anyone. As we paid and went to leave she said "please come back!" And we responded "nope" and she had already turned to leave the table but definitely heard us, turned around, but then kept walking. Note to server- maybe ask the customer how their food is...or if they leave an entire full drink- maybe ask if there was something wrong. Do yourself favor- try one of the many other amazing restaurants in PCB. Skip this one.

This place was a gem. Me and my wife had an amazing time. The food was delicious, everything was hot and so tasty. Ana was our server she was amazing she was on top of everything and didn't have to be told we needed something she just knew it. The music was very fitting for the place and soothing, it was busy but not busy enough for them to forget about you. A thousand stars if I could.

Excellent and spot-on atmosphere! Sitting inside, you can easily feel that Bourbon Street (or a less stinky street) is right through the door. Staff were A+ in finding the right entree. My husband had the Shrimp Pontchartrain, which was divine. Red beans and rice side item-delicious. I had chicken friend chicken and it was delectable as well.

Food was above amazing exceptional!! My husband said the smoked old fashioned was one of the best he has ever had... I had the martini-I highly suggest it. The live saxophonist set the atmosphere as if we were on Bourbon Street without all the crazy that goes with it.

The ambience was amazing very cozy, fantastic service, very welcoming and friendly. You can tell they use clean ingredients the food & drinks are top notch. We had the chicken fried chicken and the Cajun pasta. Both were phenomenal.

Even though the restaurant was packed, our server was attentive, checked on us frequently, and kept everything moving at just the right pace. As soon as we were ready for the next course, it arrived. We never had to wait long for anything. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Parmesan-crusted flounder, and it was cooked perfectly. The Parmesan crust was thin, delicate, and packed with flavor without overwhelming the fish. The flounder itself was tender, flaky, and cut effortlessly. The butter sauce was beautifully emulsified, with a rich buttery flavor and the perfect consistency. I also added a side salad, and I honestly thought they had brought me an entrée because it was so large. It was well worth the $5. It was loaded with toppings, generously dressed, and was an excellent salad in its own right. The red beans and rice were very good as well. They were well seasoned with a thick, flavorful sauce. It had become a little clumpy in a few spots, but the flavor more than made up for it. My only real disappointment was the wine list. The selection was quite limited, and most of the wines by the glass retail for under $10 a bottle, with even those being fairly basic choices. At around $8.50 per glass, the pricing is reasonable for a restaurant, but the quality of the wines doesn't quite justify ordering them. Overall, we had a great experience. Between the excellent service and delicious food, they've definitely won us over, and we'll be back again.

Now allow me to elaborate. Our server could not have been less helpful with the menu. I asked about one of the wing sauces, and he said, "It's great. You'll love it." I appreciate the confidence, but I was hoping for a more insightful description. I asked a follow up, thinking maybe he just needed some direction. "Is it sweet? Spicy?" Again, he just said, "You'll love it." Maybe he'd never had it? Maybe it was his first shift? Not sure, but it was the weirdest exchange. Anyway, my boyfriend ordered wings. I ordered the mahi tacos. As soon as my tacos hit the table, I knew it was... not great. They were the most pathetic-looking tacos. Plenty of tortilla, not much else. I would've been embarrassed to let them leave my kitchen. At least bulk them up a little bit with an average serving of the tropical slaw? Btw, no idea what made it tropical. Just tasted like slaw. It only got worse when I took my first bite. Completely cold. The wings? Also cold. The tacos came with a side of chips and salsa too. The salsa tasted like it was straight out of a cheap can. It was gross. Our server never came to check on us, so we just ate our cold food, eventually flagged him for the check, paid and left. Additional context that feels relevant: there were only 2 other tables taken when we arrived, and I believe there were 3 people seated at the bar. It wasn't busy at all, so this was not an instance of falling short while trying to meet the demand of a lunch or dinner rush. That would've been more understandable. How do you serve cold food then go MIA as a server when there's barely anyone there? How do you manage tables when you're actually busy? There are so many amazing places to eat on the beach, including spots with great tacos and wings. Spend your money elsewhere. I truly could not recommend this place to anyone after my experience.
