Stopped in for dinner during the Christmas season on our way to see the Nutcracker ballet in Panama City. The Cajun Caprese was an outstanding appetizer! Thick, crispy fried green tomato topped with a mini crab cake, pimento cheese and remoulade sauce. Unique and delicious! There's a huge selection of craft beers on tap to suit any palate along with craft cocktails. My husband had the Bistro Burger and said that it was the best burger he's had in a long time. Cooked to perfection! I had the Cobb Salad and it was loaded with the classic ingredients, delicious, fresh and filling. I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and twins for dinner. Whenever dinner time was around the corner, I had fired up Yelp to find a place and happened to stumble on The Craft Bar - PCB. Since there wasn't an online ordering option, I ended up calling in the order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived 21 minutes later, and my food was ready to go. I was only in the restaurant for a couple of minutes, but there was a huge bar and plenty of seating, and it felt like it had a chill vibe. For dinner this evening, I decided to go with the Pimento Burger with French fries, while my wife chose the Blackened Skirt Steak. The menu described my burger as a half pound local beef patty topped with house-made pimento cheese and applewood smoked bacon, served on a toasted brioche bun with house-cut fries. My wife's dish was described as a blackened flank steak served over a bed of butter lettuce, accompanied by grilled zucchini, tomato, avocado, goat cheese, fried onions with a tomatillo vinaigrette. I really enjoyed my burger here; it was one of the thicker patties I've had recently and was certainly juicy. Both the cheese and the bacon added lots of flavor to the burger itself. The fries seemed were definitely freshly cut, well-seasoned, and cooked nicely. There were two misses for me: first, I couldn't have told you that it was pimento cheese, and second, the bun under the burger was quite soggy. I understand that happens with to-go food sometimes, and no real harm done, but there are ways to solve that. My wife also ended up enjoying her meal, telling me that it was a good salad when she had finished. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Stopped in for an early dinner over Labor Day weekend, and despite the tourist crowds in town, the restaurant wasn't full at all. I decided to try something I hadn't planned on: the meatloaf. It was packed with flavor, featuring Conecuh sausage and a mix of other sausages, and it was absolutely delicious! The sides were great too-- the macaroni and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the greens with smoked meat had that perfect southern flavor.The meal was hearty, filling, and surprisingly cost-friendly. We haven't been here in about 18 months. I was surprised to find the menu virtually unchanged, including prices. The salad niçoise is still my do to dinner and it was a little different and maybe a little better than last time. My wife's black bean burger was mush. Do not order. The fries, however are excellent. The beer selection is still excellent, leaning a little towards very local, but a nice variety of styles. Service was decent. But it was rather uncrowded for a Saturday night. I would have been disappointed to be ignored. Atmosphere is mellow, despite college football on tv. We went in person after trying to call and place an order and no one picked up the phone. But it's ok since they had good food and great service. The burger they cut in half for us since we indicated we were sharing and gave us our own fries. Got the Nashville style chicken as an appetizer. And the 'sidebar' is potatoes, (2) Brussels, and Mac n cheese - their 'spicy' ketchup isn't bad but I opted for the regular for myself. Like others have said their mixed drinks are hit or miss. They have a good selection of cocktails and appetizers to choose from during happy hour til 6 PM I ordered one of their tasty whiskey cocktails ($5 on HH) and my husband got a couple really good beers (they have so many to choose from!). If it weren't for the lack of TVs I would rate it a five star for sure. I think they hung like 40" TVs in the Craft Bar which is a waste unless you are sitting right. Ext to one. We decided to give this a try since we were already at this strip mall and I'm glad we did! It's a nice little place with indoor dining and very limited outdoor dining but the food was really good. My wife and I were on an off season stay in Panama City Beach, a lovely community with lots of cool people. We took a two hour walk and I was ready for lunch and I had bookmarked this place on Yelp. We sat at the bar and there are a lot of TVs along the wall, but I did notice that the place was surprisingly super dark. Not a big turn off, but it led us to sit at the bar and my wife actually turned the flashlight on her phone to allow me to read the menu, even at the bar. I ordered a new IPA, which is standard for any new city I am in and the pulled pork lunch plate, which was $15 and it comes with two sides. I got the green beans and the side salad, which was an upcharge, but the salad was amazing! I got a little scoop of coleslaw too, which was a nice little chef kiss. I ordered another new IPA. The pork was delicious, with just the right amount of barbeque sauce and the side salad was way on top of its league. It could have been one touch juicier, but opposed to the BBQ place I went the night before, it was heaven. Oh to get Texas style BBQ. Why so hard? Just kidding, it was really good. (Why don't BBQ guys just go to Texas and say "What do you do?" Just do that. I digress. My wife got the black-eye peas succotash. I don't know what their flavor is, but it was heavenly. Brand expansion allows a company to build on its established identity and customer loyalty to drive growth and increase market exposure. Unfortunately, The Craft Bar PCB fails to capitalize on this concept. We make it a point to visit The Craft Bar Destin when in town and, now that my parents moved to PCB, we were looking forward to visiting this location. The interior was clean yet poorly-lit, giving the space a gloomy look and feel. Artwork and wall fixtures were sparse in a comically amateurish design with a chalkboard directing us to seat ourselves. The ambiance was an obvious departure and lacks the charm of the Destin location. The space is about occupied at 15% capacity at most. We made our way to the bar and we're greeted by a friendly bartender. My wife ordered her favorite cocktail, the Scorched Earth as I perused the beer menu. Immediately, I noticed that the menu lacked the usual depth and breadth that originally attracted me to The Craft Bar. The extensive variety of local Florida craft beers was gone, replaced by macro/mass-produced large scale brewery offerings. As I'm looking over the, my wife and I are watching the bartender "craft" her cocktail. The Scorched Earth is supposed to be Gin, muddled cucumbers, fresh citrus, sugar, and rosemary, served in a smoke-infused glass with burning herbs on top. Typically, the drink is garnished with a fresh sprig of rosemary that's been charred just before serving. What we got was a few rosemary leaves from leftover burnt rosemary that was already on the bar. The flecks of broken rosemary leaves made the drinking experience unenjoyable. My wife was picking rosemary shards out of her teeth and off her lips after every sip. The poor execution of her drink set the tone for the evening. I ordered a beer and it was served in a clean glass. Using Destin as my benchmark, food at the PCB location was consistently good. Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese, & Craft Burger were all as expected. Not completely sure why, but they tried to give us collard greens instead of the Brussels Sprouts we ordered, but this oversight caused us to question the integrity of the kitchen. We're they trying to avoid preparing the side because it was more laborious. We also noticed that some of the fries on the burger tasted fresh while others were cold. Reflecting on the Scorched Earth from earlier, it seemed the staff were sacrificing integrity for efficiency. The haphazard rosemary garnish, serving us a side we didn't order and then taking a good bit of time to get it right, and finally the two-temperature fries really made us question why we chose The Craft Bar in the first place. To make matters worse, we asked the bartender to change one of the T.V.s and he gave some illogical excuse that made me think they were bootlegging whatever streaming service or cable service provider they had. The restaurant was at about 10% by this time he said he couldn't change the channel because it would mess up the whole system. I ordered another beer which was supposed to be a Pale Ale but it had a very strong yeast flavor indicative of a Belgian wheat ale. He offered to replace it or remove it from the bill but I refused and drank it anyway. We had a brief conversation about it and he even poured a glass and aagreed with me that it was yeasty. I said "maybe the kegs were hooked up wrong " and he told me the beer had been on tap for 3 days. I asked him to check and see if the wrong beer was hooked up but he went to act busy like he couldn't be bothered with it. I included a pipicture of the chicken thigh I ate. You can see slightly pink/red juice on the plate. The chicken is brined and was cooked through but some people may be put off by this sight. It didn't bother me and I ate it all. Just another example of the poor execution by the PCB staff. Overall, the food and drinks were good, the place where The Craft Bar PCB looses points is in expectation and execution. If you're going to expanding your brand, you need people who can execute your vision. This experience was like the blind leading the blind. read more

A friend recommended for us to go to The Craft Bar for their burgers. It was seat yourself upon entering but no table were clean and a staff member immediately noticed and said they'd clean a table. We waited less than 5 min for a table which was great. Once seated we waited 15 minutes to get greeted by a server which was entirely too long. We placed our drink and appetizer order and shortly after the waiter got our dinner order. The appetizers ( a pretzel & Mac and cheese bites) took 30 minutes to come out. They weren't overly crowded so unsure why it took so long. Once our dinner arrived everything looked great except they brought fries out for me instead of onion rings which is what I ordered but they were able to get those out fairly quick. All of the food was great however the ketchup is brought out in ramekins and there's like a lot of seasoning in the ketchup including a lot of pepper which wasn't great in my opinion. My son hated it but he also hates pepper. The buttermilk ranch is really good and I liked the dill in it. The fries were good and big. My husband said his burger lacked seasoning which was odd because the ketchup had way too much seasoning. It seemed like a great atmosphere and a lot of cool beers on draft but overall the experience was just okay and the food was mediocre. Glad we went on half priced burger night. read more

This is a hidden gem of PCB and on Mondays they have a cheeseburger special starting at 5pm along with beer and wine happy hour specials. Sara our gregarious and tentative server checked on us often and knew so many details about the wide selection of micro brew beers on tap. My husband enjoyed the Port beer while I opted for a craft of Prosecco, which was a the price of a glass during happy hour! I savored my collard greens that were extremely flavorful. Sara also told us to come back on Tuesday nights for Trivia. There is seating spread out or you can sit at the bar. The crowd was lively and diverse and also were enjoying the local brew they have along with delicious food. We will be back with friends soon to try trivia and win a gift card there. read more

They were busy as usual. So they definitely need more servers to keep up with the tables. We ordered their blackened chicken burger and the craft burger. Both were very plain and you can get much better burgers elsewhere like even Whataburger. The chicken burger was literally just chicken on a bun and nothing else. Same with the craft burger. I asked for hot sauce and the server forgot about it. I reminded her again and then she brought it. Then we kept waiting for the check too. Found this place through yelp as we were trying to find something healthy and gluten free. Amazingly this place had grass fed beef for the burgers and gluten-free buns. They also have a ton of diff ent beers on tap and more in bottle/can. The burger was fantastic, but the bun was a bit dry and fell apart pretty easy - typical of most gluten-free buns. Sad to write this review and we used to really enjoy the Craft Bar. So much that it was on our list of recommended places for our 5 beach rentals in the area. Late last year, we visited, and Frances was our waitress. We seated ourselves (as the sign said) and waited about 10 mins for her to arrive - mind you, the place was EMPTY. When she finally arrived, we placed an order for 2 beers. 10 mins later, no water and no beers. The bartender looking clueless behind the bar, washing dishes and standing around. We finally got our 2 draft beers. Seriously, how long does it take to pour a draft beer when you're just standing around? Anyway, fast forward to today. We decided to give Craft Bar another chance. We walk in.. same scenario and low and behold Francis is our waitress again. We wait - almost 10 mins for her to make an appearance. When the place is COMPLETELY empty - except for maybe 6 at the bar. Order 2 beers. Francis cleans a table & Walks to the front and seats another table. 10 mins later, no water, no beers and no Frances. Bartender washing dishes - looking clueless. We got up and walked out. Music was pretty loud and their song selection had so much profanity and of the worst kind of profanity that I couldn't enjoy my time there and kept having to remind and teach my very young children that we don't talk like that and that they shouldn't repeat the things they are hearing. read more

Busy during trivia night I get it. Two servers that are unable to handle a full restaurant. The servers do not know how to operate the TVs. We are watching week 5 of the NFL currently. Ordered a pretzel and hour ago and asked the server if it was going to come out soon with a response I will not mention. The food runner has no clue what he's doing.
