This is a BBQ-style restaurant with every table fitted with a BBQ in the centre. The menu is simple with only about 12 selections of raw meat dishes on it. The raw meat is delivered to the table with about 15 side dishes of vegetables, some to BBQ and some not such as pickles and kimchi. We ordered the marinated ribeye and pork sirloin both of which delicious and fresh. We also ordered two bowls of rice which came with a pot of delicious soup ($1). Things to note about this restaurant. There are no entrees on the menu, it's a simple menu with emphasis on the BBQ. An entree is not need anyway with the accompanying side dishes. It is also not licensed however there is a liquor shop about 20m away which is where we purchased a bottle of wine to have with our meal. The bbqing itself was really easy while giving my partner opportunity to show off his bbq-ing skills. This was an excellent value meal. Tasty, delicious, fun and cheap. Highly recommended. We will be back.

I work nearby so I visit for lunch quite frequently and have always been happy with the quality of the food. The sashimi is delicious, if you like your fish raw! While the atmosphere isn't amazing by our kiwi standards, it's actually pretty authentic in terms of Japanese eateries. The friendly staff will give you a big welcome when you come in and serve hot tea to drink while you're deciding what to order and for your food to arrive. At $14-15 for a dish it's pretty good value. There is a lot of stuff on the menu that can be a bit difficult to know what it is so you might find yourself sticking to the well-known classics. That's what I do, but I'm sure the staff can help out with explanations if need be.

We ordered Seolleongtang (13), a beef and rice soup, which came in a boiling bowl (Gotta be careful not to burn your tongue!). The soup is made out of beef bones and beef meat. The soup tasted great and there were generous amount of beef in it which was fantastic. Side dishes were a let down as there were only two. Quite less compared to other Korean restaurants. The two kinds of kimchi weren't tasty - I think they weren't ripened enough nor seasoned right. But maybe I am being too picky being Korean. The place is quite casual but the service was wonderful.

However one thing keeps this place popular and that's the seafood selection. I swear you just see people come in just for an all-you-can-eat in prawns and oysters sometimes! It is self serve tea and water- which is found halfway in their restaurant- so don't forget to pick some up. They have a large plate of side dishes to nibble on before your mains or with your mains, if there is any left (yum). A big fan of the sweet potato, but there was also spice courgette, broccoli and thin pieced tofu. We all ordered different dishes- if you feel like seafood, I'd recommend their Hot and spicy fish roe soup. It definitely was hot- so be prepared for blowing on the soup. Was jam packed in a large black stone bowl with mung bean, mussel, courgette and fish roe- which I learned was an interesting looking though yum-enough sac of fish eggs. The Dolsot arrived in a sizzling stone pot and is a bibimbap made up of steamed rice mixed with various eggs and vegetables. Also got the Yook Gae Jang which was beef and vege in hot and spicy soup. All of it was delicious and definitely filling. They take reservations if you're worried or have quite a group. The staff are super friendly and the food is good as well as affordable- what's not to love.

We had never been to any before , so yet another new adventure. We ended up here in Man Du Rang , because it looked more appealing and seemed to have a wider range of dishes on the menu. On first entering we did notice how relatively clean it was... always a good thing , but then sometimes the less clean ones produce the most delicious dishes. Service was quick in coming and it is help yourself water. We ordered the Bulgugi Deopbap which is rice topped with bulgogi ( beef) , Kimshi Mandu which is like a dumpling with kimshi and minced meat inside and a sizzling plate of pork. And of course there was the usual small sides as you get in the Korean restaurants. And what can I say about the food? All delicious and nothing left over!! And not too bad a price either.
