However, my mind was immediately put at ease when my appointment started at the Plumed Serpent. Everyone was so friendly when my mom, my sister and I came in. We were shown to the dressing area and offered water (which they brought out in champagne flutes - so cute). Next to the couch there was a sign saying Reserved for Katie, which I thought was such a nice touch! The whole shop is bright, beautiful and clean. Krissy really made my whole appointment not only easy, but truly enjoyable. As I mentioned, I wasn't really looking forward to my appointment after my experience at a different shop, but Krissy completely turned my mood around. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful! She was cheerful, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I really cannot speak highly enough of Krissy! At the beginning of my appointment, Krissy looked through my Pinterest board with me and asked about my budget. I appreciated that she was so respectful of my budget; she only pulled dresses that were within my price range. Krissy really understood what I was looking for just from the pictures I showed her. As I tried on each dress, she took my feedback and applied it in the next dress she'd show me. I was really impressed by her! At the end of my appointment I felt that I had found the dress I loved, but I wanted to sleep on it. Krissy was absolutely understanding of that and never pressured me to make a decision on the spot. I really appreciated that! The next morning I e-mailed Krissy to let her know I'd definitely found my perfect dress. She responded quickly and answered a few last questions I had. Now I can't wait to wear my dress on my wedding day! I would highly recommend The Plumed Serpent! I had a great experience thanks to Krissy!

I instantly fell in love with all the Ines Di Santo designs, and knew the Selene dress was the one once I tried it on and looked in the mirror. My mom, godmother & mother in law were already in tears seeing how perfect it fit me and how it was everything I had envisioned! Since she knew I loved a sparkle element, she also found me the most perfect veil full of Swarovski crystals that added the element I wanted Not only did Plumed Serpent help me find my dream dress, but once I heard they had an in house seamstress, I knew this was my place. From my first alteration appointment, I knew working with Lissa would be a dream - she had the same eye for perfection as me, and we were on the same page for everything! She made sure my dress fit me perfectly for my big day, leaving me with zero worries. She even added multiple bustle options so I had choices depending on how I felt on my wedding day! All night I kept hearing compliments on how it looked like the dress was truly made for me. I've been to the Westport store several times. This is a reasonably priced boutique, most items are trendy, some might be more office appropriate. They also sell jewelry, but none of it is sterling silver. They also sell shoes and accessories. This is the type of store where you might find something very similar at a high end retailer. The sales associates are very friendly, personable and love to chat. The store is easy to navigate, fitting rooms are also available. Bobbles & Lace is a small women's store worth checking out.

The manager, Nancy, is very sweet and a whiz at wrapping anything in the store. We are members of the rewards program and have made use of many $10 rewards certificates. This business has two locations, Westport and Stamford. We like to support local businesses and have chosen to shop them despite some lower prices at cheaper chains like Target, Walmart, or Amazon. We achieved a $10 rewards certificate just prior to the local school closures and statewide lock down. Clearly, during the lock down and the pandemic as a whole, we have done our best to avoid crowds and low ventilated areas. There have also not been ANY birthday parties since March. Today, we took the opportunity to venture into the store to get a present for a close friend (again, no party). After completing our shopping, with Nancy's help, I was astonished to learn that my now expired reward would NOT be honored. I tried to call the corporate office three times to speak with "Nick", but I was sent to voicemail each time. During the pandemic, I have been given extensions on airline miles, travel points, hotel reservations and various other rewards, coupons and now expired benefits. On their website, this company has a tab that claims to support local communities. If they truly want to support communities, the policy of not honoring rewards that expired during the pandemic must be scrapped. The day after we shopped, Nancy called me personally to say that she had spoken with corporate to fight for the customer rewards. Her persuasive efforts apparently worked and she reported that, the next time I come to the store, my expired pandemic rewards would be honored. She is great at her job and I hope she is treated as she deserves to be.
