After looking at the reviews, I decided to make my brazilian appointment with Ivy and I made the perfect choice! She was friendly & welcoming, but overall super fast and thorough. It was also very easy to make an appointment online. There is street parking everywhere and it wasn't so hard to find a parking nearby, but could change depending on the time of the day (my appointment was around noon). Overall great experience and I'll be coming back for my next appointment!

I cannot recommend this place enough! The customer service is top-notch--everyone is so welcoming…read moreand professional from the moment you walk in. The wax technicians are absolutely amazing; they're skilled and make the entire experience as comfortable as possible. In terms of services, I always opt for the playboy bikini wax. I've been waxed by just about every gal in the shop and I would honestly recommend any one of them. The service is relatively quick (about 30 minutes). Time seems to fly by because the conversations are always a high point of the service. The gals at TAOW could teach gynecologists a thing or two about making a girl feel comfortable while being exposed. On top of that, the pricing is affordable, especially considering the high quality of the service. It's rare to find a business that offers both great value and such a personal touch. If you're looking for a waxing spot that truly cares about its clients and delivers outstanding results, this is the place to go! Don't forget to tip your waxer. After all, any service at The Art of Waxing is cheaper than therapy with results of instant gratification!

I wanted to take a chance on a new waxing place and I was surprised how terrible my experience…read moreactually was. I had to sit in the car and think about it before writing this. Waxer was nice, but you could tell she didn't want to be there and that the early morning appointment was an inconvenience to her. Constant yawning and saying it's too early to be here. Lacks professionalism. I left with wax, baby powder, and still portions of my leg with hair on it (like literally missed my whole inner thigh and outer thigh). I walked out of the room and told her I still had wax on me and she just apologized and didn't take me back into the room to remove it. Wax all over the trash bins, floors dirty, and baseboards with who knows what all over. To add onto that, when it was time for me to turn over on my stomach, there was still wax on my leg which ripped the paper lining I was laying on & I could see old blood stains on the cloth under. At that moment, I seriously should have walked out and left. I still left a tip but needs serious improvement as I expected more from a service that has 4.8 stars on Yelp. Avoid if you value cleanliness, etiquette, and overall have high expectations. Will be returning back to my previous waxer.

We were laughing and joking the entire appointment like she wasn't sugaring my bikini area and even my butt. She was professional, gentle, and talked me through everything as she went. From start to finish, everyone was so welcoming, kind, and made the experience feel easy. I left wondering why I had been so nervous in the first place. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend them to anyone thinking about trying sugaring for the first time!

I got waxed for the first time with my friend Kiki but she was unavailable because she had to have surgery and I wanted to wait but I couldn't. I tried waxing myself and took some skin off a few months ago... never waxing myself again! I called them and the woman sounded nice and booked me for an early evening spot. I was nannying PLUS I had my son for the week. So taking care of 3 boys was a handful! So thankfully, they worked with my appt and were able to push it back by an hr. The boys came in and waited in the lobby and the girls were patient while I rushed in and got taken care of by Bri. She was so nice and communicative and fast. I got a good deal as a first timer so I tipped her well. Definitely recommend this place and I might be back! Unless I get lasered. Thank you!

I've been to other places where they are sure to keep the sugar warm to ensure it glides smoothly upon application. I felt it was too sticky and therefore more painful during the application process. I visited this location in late April of this year. Making an appointment was pretty simple and…read morethis location is very convenient. The lobby and treatment room seemed clean and welcoming, and the service for checking in and out was also pleasant. The service itself was unfortunately not great... I got a Brazilian and lower half legs. My sugarista was kind and a good conversationalist, but the technique was just not there. I've been getting sugared since 2018 and this was the most painful experience. It's typical for my legs to twitch as a reflex during the backs of my calves and ankles, but I'm pretty adapted to the sensation of a Brazilian. I was sadly near tears during this service. It also took a long time, but that is understandable for sugaristas who aren't the most experienced. Because of how the service was going, I casually asked her how long she's been sugaring, and I think she answered just under 2 years. During our conversation, I mentioned to her that I sugar my own underarms sometimes to save money/time, and I ended up giving HER tips... I hope my advice at least helped her, lol. For the amount of time it took, I at least expected to have minimal hairs left behind. But my entire "horseshoe" area was still full and I had multiple patches of 6-8 hairs on each leg. To be fair, before checking out, the staff did ask me if everything seemed good, but there were so many patches that I would've felt nit-picky pointing them all out. I ended up touching up the areas myself a few days later with homemade sugar wax; it was too many hairs to tweeze away individually. Overall, I don't regret my visit because I had a wedding that weekend and couldn't get an appointment with an independent sugarista on short notice (which is how I usually get sugared). But I wouldn't recommend it as a regular place to go, especially because the prices are about par for independent estheticians who usually have 5+ years of experience. I absolutely understand that newer estheticians have to work somewhere and practice in order to reach that level of expertise, but maybe the business should have reduced prices for services with the less experienced sugaristas like hair salons do for stylists with different levels of experience.
