We had to clean the apartment ( see pics) I call the managerteam and nothing was done for me to correct the issue. Now I move out they send me a bill for cleaning. I call Christan ( who no longer work for them ) countless time with no help. Now Danielle is now in management and the same result. Over a year now still trying to get this resolved and now because I havent payed the bill has gone to collection. Still trying to resolve the issue with management( Danielle) And no return calls. I left the apartment cleaner than I moved in. Now they want to send me a cleaning bill. After they inspected and said the apartment passed and was good. Now I receive a cleaning bill. See my pics. So beside this issue we had many issues while living at the apartment. Birds getting caught in the vent for the dryer n died inside . Birds making nests in the outside porch area and droppings ALL over that smell and you have to clean. Parking is hard to find a spot. Amazon packages getting stolen. No security cameras at the buildings. People's stuff getting stolen from cars. Place is a joke. Just read the reviews before you make a decision to move here. Looks good from out side with all the nearby convenience. Be aware of the aftermath.

I can not say enough good things about these two amazing ladies! They were alway friendly, patient and accommodating! They say some people go that extra mile, these women go way beyond the extra mile. Stonegate is a gem in the midst of mediocrity in the Middle Island area. Every picture that you see is what the complex really does look like! Except that the Clubhouse has been remodeled to look even more wonderful than it was before. The pool-always clean. Exercise room clean. Clubhouse with tv, electric fireplace, sitting/studying room with tables and chairs. Full kitchen minus oven for throwing private parties. Free coffee to grab for a day at the pool. Management and maintenance crew is what will make or break your stay when you are living in an apartment. There were new maintenance people added shortly before I left so I can't speak fully about them except that they are both very respectful. Gabe going above and beyond at all times. Neighbors you have no control over unfortunately. I had many new neighbors move In and out in those years. Have made many a good friend and met some very nice people. Although most people do keep to themselves. If neighbors knew each other and exchanged phone numbers like we did in the past one little phone call to say "hey would you mind not playing music so loud or late" Or if not comfortable with giving out #s then a simple polite note will do. ** I happen to like rap but my new neighbor played blasting satanical rap music, like evil monster sounds set to music lol very odd There are some people that move into a new complex and unfortunately were not raised properly enough to make any attempt to get to know their new neighbors. The only bad neighbor I had -well- all I can say is thank goodness I moved out. How is it possible to have issues with a neighbor and offer an olive branch and bring them a bouquet of flowers and have them practically give you a dirty look and say "thanks". Rather than trying to work out a few kinks they say nothing to their new neighbor but run to management with every little issue. Wether it is a one time occurrence or not. PARKING IS ALWAYS AN ISSUE IN APARTMENT LIVING Although there are no assigned parking spots some new neighbors begin by taking over someone's parking spot that they have parked in for seven years and when asked why they can't move over one spot just one spot their answer was "I don't want to get my feet wet" lol and WOW. I'm and older person and like the idea that I could see my brand new car out of my kitchen window. Too much to ask for I guess? The parking situation in this unit was for a very long time an issue. There were 6 units with 5 spots and one handicapped. There were no handicapped tenants in this unit. I was the only one that brought this up to management for years. Finally when the excellent current management came in they resolved the issue. Yes, no assigned parking but now enough spots that would not have been there if it weren't for me hounding Stonegate. (old management) Yes, no assigned spots. Yes people with garages are supposed to forfeit their assigned spot. Resulting in a new neighbor taking TWO spots. No, that is not a fair policy. Garages are not cheap. I was renting a unit I deserved a spot for the price of the unit and I deserved a spot for the price of the garage. ** most people do not get assigned a garage next to their unit** Both top and lower units were allowed to barbecue when I moved in. I owned a fire pit which at the time was allowed. I used the fire pit for many years until my new rude self centered neighbor moved in. There was ONE night that the person building the fire made it too big. That was a ONE time unfortunate incident. There was ALWAYS a screen on the pit. The neighbor ran to management yet again (allegedly) and I was told to have it removed from my premises within 48 hours. Which I did. The holier than though non smokers that have absolutely no patience with smokers move into a smoking complex and immediately get annoyed that people smoke? Huh? The entire complex became smoke free A MONTH earlier than Nov/2017 on October 1, 2017. I lived there for seven years and had to move out with only 3 months notice because of this change in policy. I have since heard of a renter that was not applying to new regulations who is being asked to vacate. Radiant heaters on the ceiling don't make the apartments super warm but a $20 small heater makes a whole room so cozy warm Ripping apart walls to add more insulation is ridiculously naive. Lol Stonegate was wonderful except for that one neighbor

They will also welcome themselves into your apartment whether you want them to or not every single week for MONTHS as soon as the weather starts getting nice to "inspect" one thing or another. It's usually the "twice a year" fire alarm check... EVERY SINGLE WEEK. It's absolutely insane. I actually saw this as a comment before I moved in, and asked about it. I was told it was just periodically for things that needed to be checked. It's not! It's every single week!!!! It's absurd. Reach out to management to find out why, and they will just ignore you... as usual. Got yet another one of your bullshit "twice a year" notices that someone will be welcoming themselves into my apartment AGAIN. This the FOURTH in LESS THAN 30 DAYS!!! I should be charging you people rent for this, and they spend more time here than I do!!!!! Absolutely insane.

I would not also want to be remiss to mention that the Medford Pond Staff is to be commended for removing fallen snow during the winter in a most proactive fashion so residents can leave the community safely and go about their business! My main complaint about this place is the NOISE! From besides a busy subway line in Queens to besides the BQE in Brooklyn I've lived in some pretty noisy places. This is the loudest place I have ever lived. Each day starts promptly at 9 with a garbage truck making as much noise as it possibly can. That lasts for 30 minutes to an house. The fire house sounds it's alarm everyday at 12 and then multiple other times throughout the day. It's loud as can be and seriously the loudest fire alarm I've ever heard. Excessively loud. And then I gotta hand it to the Patchogue fire department for their enthusiasm. They are blaring those horns and sirens like a little kid with his toy fire truck Christmas morning whether they need to or not. On the other side of the building you get the drunks doing their thing. I do like living here and the staff is the best but the noise is absolutely killer.

They are unapologetically rude to everyone who lives here. Every single email they send out sounds like a teenager scolding a toddler. They overcharged me for rent one month and after two weeks of emails, calls, and texts and being ignored or "forwarded to the appropriate party" without any real follow up, I had to email Titan Corp who owns the complex and they got it resolved in less than an hour. The gate has not worked in this "gated community" since at least October 2025. We've gotten reports on multiple occasions of "unmarked cars" skulking around the community and the lack of a functional gate makes this a real concern. No real feedback on when this is being resolved other than "we know it's not working". When the gate used to work, I would get 5+ phone calls in the middle of the night from the gate. Every time I inquired about why this is happening the only thing staff could condescendingly tell me is "Well we would never give your code out to somebody else" instead of politely working with me to figure out a solution and why this would happen. Reading other reviews here clearly I was not the only person this was happening to so the fact they were so rude to me about it is sad but expected out of this place. I used to use the gym regularly but stopped after four days of them clearly not cleaning it. For four days there was garbage in the water fountains and every single sanitary wipe dispenser was empty. I've never gone back to the gym. The police are literally always here and no one is ever forthcoming about what's happening around the community. The parking is a joke. Two bedroom apartments but only enough parking for one vehicle. Good luck finding a spot near your own apartment. If it snows while you're in those spots the plow is going to bury you in, no matter how many times you go out and dig yourself out. Don't bother leaving the campus either because when you get back you will 100% not find a parking spot anywhere close to you. I can truly only recommend living here if the application convenience and the price are your priorities.

This all started with a water leak in the apartment below me behind the bathroom wall where toxic black mold was discovered. Due to improper remediation, cross contamination occurred where the toxic spores traveled up to my apartment Response from management was dismissive and inadequate despite repeated concerns about health issues. This affected my health, safety and peace of mind. I had no choice but to vacate in order to protect myself. I too along with my neighbor have been tested and we both have been found to have elevated toxins in the body causing toxic mold symptoms requiring treatment.
