Maybe the best custom Irish souvenir of our trip! And a bargain at 60 Euros Cash. Gayle and I enjoyed watching him work and I appreciated his no-nonsense approach, first by warning me that if a person that had shown up earlier came back, I would move down the line. He didn't and it helped that I knew and told him exactly what I wanted. Having my previous belt handy helped at 2 stages in the process. The belt also has the shop's stamp, my initials, and an Irish knot stamp. Great work and experience! p.s. - I did separately enjoy a wee pint of Dick Macks IPA at another Pub.

Due to the weather and timing, we only stopped by the visitor center…read more There was an interesting movie to watch that gave some good information about the island, monks and wildlife. It looked beautiful but challenging to see as part of an island tour. The exhibits about the Skellig monastery and details about how the monks eeked out a living were quite good. Very amazed about their perseverance to live on such a remote and isolated island. A small cafe was also onsite and one could take in views of Portmagee here or outside the center. Hopefully next time we will have time and good weather to see the island.
