Best store for buying appliances! Our salesperson, John Mc…read moreGrade is exemplary! He is so patient, professional, patient and kind. We bought all our kitchen appliances from him over a year ago. And recently placed more orders for another house....this time everything was done by phone....so simple with John's expert advise. Tasco has an incredible team....the installation team is so knowledgable... Andreas and Randy even gave us a seminar regarding the operations of the Bosch dishwasher. We love all our Jennaire and Bosch appliances and the very smooth and successful process of ordering, delivering and installing them. Immense thanks to the entire Tasco team! Received a call today from an individual named Mohammed, who represents TASCO. He very politely…read morenoted that TASCO does not take responsibility for repairs to its products-that those are handled through the manufacturer directly. In our case, because TASCO sold us a lemon which GE replaced, any service we might have received from TASCO was voided within weeks of purchase since the replacement was provided by GE-not TASCO. Long story short, TASCO has no interest in making things right. They sold us a piece of junk and failed to stand behind it. Mohammed spent a while explaining how TASCO's warranty program works-my take away is that "TASCO will not help". Having to spend more than half the value of the microwave on a replacement for a crappy plastic part within two years is throwing good money after bad. I will not use TASCO again. I sincerely hope their customer service people read this and realize this is why I'm buying appliances from COSTCO going forward. I feel ripped off-and worse, I feel let down by a company that used to have a great reputation for customer service. No more.

I went into store and Parsa was my Salesperson, he was very helpful and assured me that ordering…read morethe appliances now and that there would not be a problem holding off on the delivery until I notified them of the delivery date. However, it was a bit of an issue because I had given an estimated date for delivery, however, the renovation had not started and I received a notification of delivery before, on a Friday evening, tried getting a hold of a live person on the phone, did not work. I replied back to the delivery notification email and asked to Cancel the delivery, and they did cancel. This was the only issue I had, other than that, Canadian Appliance Source, has quality appliances, good prices and plenty of locations in Ontario. Overall experience was very good. I have to wait and see how the appliances work, renovations still not finished.

I purchased a refrigerator from Canadian Appliance Source after seeing it advertised with free…read moredelivery and setup. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward transaction turned into nearly a month of trying to understand an additional $114.97 delivery/"oversize" charge that I still do not believe CAS has adequately explained. My salesperson was Hossai Zazai. Before delivery, I proactively provided CAS with measurements, photos, doorway information, and details about the access to my home, including the stairs. Every invoice I received also stated that my order was eligible for free delivery/services. When an unexpected delivery charge appeared, I contacted Hossai on August 5 and specifically asked whether it had been added in error given the advertised free delivery. I also told her that I was uncomfortable paying the charge over the phone because it was not clear what I was actually being charged for. Despite that, I felt pressured to pay the remaining amount so the delivery could proceed. I repeatedly asked for explanations in writing because the rationale for the charge was unclear and seemed to evolve. Despite those requests, I continued receiving phone calls and had to follow up again by email asking CAS to respond in writing so I could maintain a clear record. My initial understanding was that the extra charge related to additional delivery personnel because of the stairs. After the refrigerator was delivered by two people, I asked for clarification. Hossai later explained that CAS has different delivery teams and that a more experienced "senior" team may be used for special stairs and cost more. I then asked whether the two people who delivered my refrigerator were that senior team and why my invoice simply described the charge as "oversize." Customer Care eventually became involved. Leslie stated that the "oversize" fee was not about the refrigerator's physical size, but rather that my delivery fell outside CAS's standard scope because of the stairs/access conditions and required a more experienced team. At that point my question was simple: where was this exception to the advertised free delivery disclosed when I made the purchase? I repeatedly asked CAS to identify the specific policy or published condition saying that a delivery like mine -- two flights of stairs, an L-shaped turn and approximately 35 inches of clearance -- triggered this additional charge. Instead, I was directed to general wording saying that delivery rates and service levels may vary depending on delivery requirements. I was never shown a clear published condition stating that my particular circumstances required a $114.97 "oversize" fee or an additional charge for a more experienced two-person team. This is particularly difficult to reconcile with every invoice I received stating that the order was eligible for free delivery/services. What concerned me further was that I later contacted another CAS salesperson and described substantially the same delivery circumstances, specifically raising the advertised free delivery and possible stair charges. That representative told me the stair charge could be covered and that I would not pay anything more than the amount agreed to at purchase. I provided that conversation to Customer Care and asked them to reconsider the refund. Leslie ultimately replied that the delivery department considered the fee necessary and that the decision would not be changed. My biggest issue is no longer simply the $114.97. It is transparency and confidence in the transaction. I disclosed the delivery conditions in advance, questioned the fee almost immediately, expressed discomfort paying a charge whose basis remained unclear, and repeatedly asked for both a written explanation and the policy supporting it. From my first written question on August 5 until CAS's final response on September 3, I spent nearly a month trying to understand why the advertised free delivery did not apply. CAS eventually explained what it says the fee represented, but never clearly answered the more important question: what specific published policy, disclosed at the time of purchase, established that my delivery was excluded from the free-delivery offer? To be very clear, the two third-party delivery workers were excellent -- professional, efficient and careful. My review is not a criticism of them. My concern is with CAS's sales, billing, disclosure and handling of the dispute. Based on this experience, I would be very hesitant to purchase from Canadian Appliance Source again because I no longer feel confident that the advertised price and delivery offer tell a customer what they will ultimately be required to pay.
