Edited review -- I had previously posted a very negative review about their poor quality contacted extended warranty company, but I'm editing it to improve that the company's response itself was okay (although response to my escalated complaint was a touch tardy), and they agreed to waive the delivery and pickup fee for the replacement. I'd still say turn down Tasco's extended warranty option, in favour of the extended warranty from the manufacturer. Their extended warranty company / its sub-contractor was bad to deal with (slow, made clerical errors, took them a month to do nothing, didn't agree to replace until after we escalated with Tasco). read more

The sales staff was disingenous and incompetent right from the start. They were perfectly happy to sell me two KitchenAid appliances (range and dishwasher), which they knew -- or ought to have known -- were objectively crap. Both have since received very low online ratings. I have had to replace both appliances after numerous useless service calls by totally incompetent service people representing the crap service companies used by Tasco to support their warranty. I ordered a built in oven with cooktop on top of it. John offered delivery date and install date but neglected to offer a site visit. There was concern from my cabinet maker that it wouldn't fit but John wrote an email to show that it would fit. Well it didn't fit. Would not delivery a "partial load" until all item were in stock. New house but living off a cooler filled with ice and our old microwave. Never buy your appliances from Tasco. They are a terrible company who deliver damaged products and can't seem to replace the products that were damaged. They defer to the manufacturer of the appliance to do this. So you the customer has to wait for one of the technicians from the manufacturer to come and take pictures which in my case took 3 weeks. Then once this happens they either repair, yes repair brand new appliances, or if you are lucky exchange the item. Who knows if the appliance was dropped or crushed and that is how it got damaged which could have damaged other parts as well. To try and talk to someone at Tasco and get help in a timely manner is impossible. So here I wait and who knows for how long to get one appliance repaired and one exchanged. We came to Tasco Appliances not knowing a whole lot about kitchen appliances and we left more knowledgable to make better decisions afterwards. During the pre-lockdown, Tasco was only accepting visits by appointment only so if you show up spontaneously then you will be turned away. Please note that they do not have a customer accessible bathroom in the premises. We had an appointment with Merrilyn who really helped give a really great overview on fridges, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and range hoods so then we could walk around the store on our own to explore the appliance showroom floor. Merrilyn always was available for additional questions when we had them. They have a wide range for almost all budget tiers and appliances offered are with good quality materials and parts. Don't expect any primarily plastic appliance models thought. Tasco prices are competitive and there is room for negotiation. We were happy with our experience at Tasco. read more

As no one at Tasco would give me this gentlemen's email I am posting my letter to him. Dear Mr. Verboom, I understand we are in a pandemic and that everyone is stressed. However, as a very loyal Tasco customer who has bought many appliances from you over the past 20 years including Sub-Zero fridges, Dacor stove tops and Miele dishwashers, I thought you might hear me out on what I have experienced over this last month. I have just spent the last 1.5 hours on the phone with the receptionist at your Dufferin location (who is very good at calming people down) and your Customer Service Rep Bridgette in Brampton who really wasn't trained as well as she should have been. The reason for my speaking with them is that Ron Hall did not answer my emails or my phone calls. I asked for your name and email and no one would give me your name. They all said they didn't have the authority to connect me to you. I had to finally google it to get your email address. What are they so afraid of? My story is that I purchased a fridge from the Dufferin location. I was to meet a sales rep to make the purchase. He was late for my appointment even though I booked it and he was in the next room. I waited over 10 minutes for him to arrive. I purchased a fridge and 2 weeks after it was installed the freezer broke down. After numerous calls and emails I just want it to be replaced. There is no reason I should have to keep this fridge when it clearly has something wrong with it. Yes, you can send in someone to fix it but that doesn't mean something else won't go wrong with it. It is simply not fair or ethical to saddle me with a fridge that is faulty from the get go. The second problem I have is with people not returning my calls or emails. Neither my sales rep or the store manager respond in a timely manner. Is it that difficult to shoot back an email saying "I received your email and I'm swamped but I promise to get back to you by...". We are all living under difficult times. I find this very rude and dismissive behaviour. Obviously I am now in your hands. It's not an expensive fridge, but it will be over time. I'm not a happy customer and I should be after all the money I have spent at that store. Please replace this fridge. So far everyone says "I can't do anything about this". They have good salesmen which draw you into purchasing products. What's really irritating is the fact that they hit you with delay after delay of your shipment. You would expect that an order placed in March would be delivered by September, but this is not the case. They only provide empty promises, no products. We purchased a very expensive bundle of appliances for our new home in 2017 along with an extended warranty from Tasco. When our built in refrigerator unit slowly began to break down after 4 years, our nightmare began. After 5 failed service calls we were told the unit was "unfixable" and that we would need to pay the difference in cost between the purchase price and the current price, nearly $5000 along with removal fee, delivery fee and installation fee to obtain a new unit. Fast forward 8+ months and many, many hours on the phone and we still have no unit. They will lie, make promises they don't intend to keep, and conveniently "lose" details like contracts/service logs/emails, etc. each time you call. If you work hard for your money DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO TASCO. There is no care in their customer care. read more

We were in the market for a new dishwasher and stove . I booked an appointment over the phone and on the day we arrived the sales reps had no knowledge of our booking . Sales rep Daniel Slat assisted us . We purchased a Miele Dishwasher ( both arrival and installation completed as promised ) and placed a LG stove on order ( no money down ) . In the 3 months since we visited Tasco , I reached out to Daniel twice and only received one reply from him ( after escalating it to management ) . His reply was non committal and vague . Obviously with all the negative reviews of Tasco I was nervous about going there, but I needed a new washer/dryer quickly (those things never break at a good time!) I can confirm that Tasco comes by their 1-star ratings very honestly...they're BRUTAL. The buying part is ok, not great but certainly passable. The delivery is AN ABSOLUTE GONG SHOW! Everyone expects a 3rd party delivery service. But do you really need to use one THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT? Do you really need to use one that completely ignores all notes about delivery restrictions? DO YOU REALLY NEED TO BE SO INEPT THAT EVEN TASCO CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS NO IDEA HOW TO CONTACT THEIR OWN DELIVERY SERVICE AND FIGURE OUT HOW TO REDIRECT? So far I'm 3 calls into trying to track down where my machines are and when the combined dream team of Tasco/their delivery agent feel like delivering again...do yourselves a favour. I've heard great things about Home Depot. They deliver when they say they will and they do installations. read more

We went with Tasco even thought they cost more but after going to 3 other stores we thought their sales representative was great and she was. No problem with her. The issue is the delivery and installing service. We waited patiently for the washer and dryer about a month after our purchase, as the set that we wanted had to be ordered. No problem. First Delivery In the first delivery, the installer indicated that the water shut-off valve in our condo did not work as water was still running. I accepted his word and tried to ask our superintendent to turn it off but he indicated he has to get the condo plumber to do this. The delivery people took the washer & dryer back until we can sort out the plumbing. When the plumber came to work on our water shut-off, his assessment was that the shut-off valve in our condo was not broken. He said there was nothing wrong with it. He guessed that the installer was removing the hose from the appliance side, rather than the shut-off valve side, so residual water came out from the hose. We chose to continue with the replacement of the plumbing hardware because he was there anyways. I recommended to Tasco in an email that the installer may want to deinstall the hose differently. Perhaps bring a bucket in case there is residual water. Second Delivery The second pair of delivery/installer came an hour earlier than the scheduled time. I just woke up and was able to let them in. I was working from home that day and did not think I needed to oversee their installation. I sensed there may have been a disagreement between the 2 installers but didn't intervene. When they were done with the installation the individual installer let me know and I did a quick check of the appliances. There was an abrasion or mark on the dryer door but he said I should be able to clean it off. I did see a plastic disk on the dining table and since the installer didn't say anything about it, I assumed it's not important. I signed off on receiving the appliances. It was after he left that I noticed they scratched our wood floors. It was also only later on in the day, after reading the manual as I was about to use the dryer that I realized that the plastic disk was the dryer's cover plate. I called Tasco's delivery customer service department and explained the issue. They said that I shouldn't use the dryer until we knew what the part was. They asked that the installer return but I think the installer responded with requesting that Samsung look into this. There was also another phone call requesting that I email them images of the plastic disk that I had. I did but didn't receive any follow-up on this. So we went back to the sales rep and yes she resolved it within a week. Unfortunately we spent a bit more money than just for the appliances and the delivery, that is the cost of the plumber and the additional delivery service. We also couldn't use our delivered dryer for about 4 1/2 weeks. Their sales service was great. Tasco's delivery service could use some improvement. Considering that's the last point of contact, they really should do better. read more

Tasco moved my delivery date without notifying me. I took the day off work and booked the service elevator in my condo, only for them to not show up. After then calling them, a very brash rep told me they'll get it out for delivery the next day. (Great, but now I have to try and get a second day in a row off of work AND book the elevator again.) The elevator isn't available for the time they have given me now as it's such short notice, and they are inflexible in their delivery times. I spent the entire day trying to get help from Tasco to move my new delivery window with no success, so now I have my appliances showing up tomorrow and I can't get them upstairs to my unit so I'll have to refuse delivery. On top of that, I have zero idea when the installer was supposed to come after delivery because Tasco doesn't communicate their policies with their customers :) Sticking to Best Buy next time. read more

Ordered Samsung Washer/Drier through Tasco which was delivered Feb.11, 2023. Both were defective on delivery. The Washer was determined to need replacement by the service company technician for Samsung and likewise for Tasco. Samsung tech said they won't replace since they think damaged in shipping. Tasco won't do anything since they say its the manufacturer that decides. Absolute scam !!!! read more

I want to add to the many reviews outlining the horrific customer experience with Tasco. Before we ordered our appliances in October 2020, we specifically asked our sales rep if they would be ready for our renovation that was slated to begin on February 1, 2021 (four months later). He said that it would "not be an issue". We requested a January 15, 2021 delivery date just to be on the safe side. We even asked about whether the ongoing pandemic would pose an issue to the delivery date....The sales rep seemed confident that it would not be a problem. Then the nightmare began: Tasco delayed our appliances FOUR TIMES; from Jan 15 to Jan 29 to Feb 5 to Feb 26....which delayed our renovation. On February 5, I even tried contacting the Manager at Tasco, both by phone and email, to express our deep concerns about the ongoing delays...After so many delays, he did not even have the courtesy or professionalism to phone me back to offer any solution, and replied in a short email response that I was to deal with the sales rep. When I spoke to the sales rep on February 5 to tell him that our project was now postponed due to the delays, and that we would need assurance that the appliances would be in for the end of March....he said that the latest arrival date looked to be April 9...so we postponed the start of our renovation again to mid April. He did refund our money for the cooktop which he said was now "out of stock" and we ended up buying another one at Costco that was both in stock and ready to be delivered. On March 9, I phoned the Tasco delivery number to check the status of our order only to be told that the new expected delivery for our fridge would now be JULY 23, 2021 (NINE MONTHS AFTER WE PLACED OUR ORIGINAL ORDER)!!!!!! And they had not even called me to inform me earlier...I had to phone them to find out this unacceptable and ridiculous timeline. You can only imagine our incredible frustration being left in a lurch once again. We asked the sales rep for an immediate refund of the remaining items that were back ordered (only the hood vent apparently had come in) as we had no more confidence in Tasco nor were we going to wait another 5 months for our appliances! He, did, in fact, refund the items immediately. Truthfully, dealing with him overall was the only slightly positive thing about the Tasco experience as he was personable enough and did return my emails (even on his day off). He, too, seemed overwhelmed with what seemed to be an ongoing issue for product availability. In the end, he and Tasco could not deliver on the promised items in time. We went to Best Buy, where the service was amazing, they price-matched, and our remaining items are expected to be in by the time they are needed for our renovation. We understand that the pandemic puts additional strains on companies for the delivery of products; however, we ordered items from THREE other merchants (Costco, Best Buy and TAPS) and none of them had any issues in the delivery of what we wanted. We had also planned everything five months before the start of our renovation. Tasco failed on all fronts....I would never step foot inside Tasco or recommend them to anyone. You will be left stranded and scrambling for your appliances....RUN AWAY and go to a more reputable merchant who will actually deliver the products, and whose Manager has more professionalism, and values customer experience enough to actually phone a customer back. read more

Beware the old "Bait & Switch"! After seeing a GE dryer posted as on sale on the Tasco website (see photo) we took time out of our busy day to travel to the Dufferin & Lawrence showroom with our two young children in tow to purchase the advertised dryer. I spoke to an unenthusiastic salesman named Steve and ordered, paid, and arranged for delivery in 8 days. 4 days later we received a call from Steve informing us the dryer that was - and still is at the time of this writing - advertised on the Tasco website as on sale & available is now discontinued. If the dryer is discontinued why is it being advertised on the Tasco website as on sale & available?? Steve & Tasco would not honour the sale price with a comparable dryer. We were offered nothing for the waste of our time coming into the store to buy an advertised yet non existent appliance. We were offered nothing for the inconvenience of waiting half a week to be told the dryer we bought & paid for isn't available. We were offered nothing for having to go out yet again in search of yet another dryer. Although we were welcomed to come back and buy another dryer at full price lol. But after you have purchased, they are done with you. Arranging delivery or dealing with faults and repairs are yours to navigate. Yesterday, the exemplary crew of O'Neill and Wren were at my mother's residence for the delivery and installation of a new washer and dryer. They worked in an efficient and capable manner. When a problem arose with the dryer, they immediately took appropriate corrective action. Besides knowing their jobs well, both were couteous and attuned to customer service. The technicians came to fix it for 5 times, changed and tested all possible parts and areas, never worked. I just wanted to return it, but Tasco doesn't want to do the return and keep fixing it. We can't wash and dry clothes for over a month. Tasco Richmond Hill Sales person was good, but their after-sales-service and the way working with the suppliers (ELECTROLUX) just terrible! I would strongly urge anyone who is considering ordering from Tasco to think twice, three times and then don't order from them. Their customer service is horrible! We ordered a dryer from them in mid June with a delivery date of early July. The day before the delivery they called to say that it was delayed and set a new delivery date 2 weeks out. The day before that date, they called and said it would be delayed another week and set another delivery date. 3 days before that date they called again and said they had no idea when it would show up. At that point I decided to cancel the order - I wound up finding the same unit from Costco for $72 total less. When I cancelled the order I was told the refund would take 3-5 business days to process. It's now been 7 days. Stay away from Tasco. read more

Atrocious experience with Tasco. 3 appliances not available 13 months after they were ordered. Customer service and sales people are of no help, provide no communication. Every time I ask (monthly) the delivery estimates are pushed out further, sometimes it is the range that is not available. Now it is the dishwasher. Because of Tasco's insistence, these appliances are paid for in full. No one at the company has any idea of what is going on. No one at the company knows how to solve a problem. Complete nightmare dealing with Tasco. We ordered a stove from them, and went ahead with updating our home to prepare for the new stove. Without any notification ever- our delivery date was constantly moved. The staff, in particular Ron & Naresh were beyond rude. Not once offering an apology or even bothering to pick up the phone. Based on the reviews I'm seeing this seems to be pretty common. We were to another appliance supplier where they had 8 of our stoves in stock. When I emailed Tasco to cancel the order, magically they said some appeared in their warehouse. You have to wonder if manufacturers don't want to deal with Tasco either. Also, the Tasco Communications Manager likes to post responses to online reviews, but not bother reaching out to customers when there's an actual problem. By the way- when I found my stove it stock at another appliance store it was hundred of dollars less. PLEASE NOTE: LAURA FROM TASCO HAS NOT HELPED. I ordered a dishwasher in mid September and I am still waiting for it. I was told it would come by end of October. When that didn't happen, I was told that if I pay in full, I will get delivery with next shipment in early November. So I paid in full! Called them this week and was told shipment arrived and I will get delivery this weekend. Yesterday I called and was told delivery is now looking like mid December! This is totally unacceptable. Customer service is terrible. I get that there are delays with covid, but this is ridiculous! Did shipment come in or not? First they tell me dishwasher came in, now they say it didn't! Tasco has gone from great to the absolute worst. When my washer broke, within the extended warranty period, it took forever to get a technician out. The first technician said it was a safety mechanism on the door. Needed to order a part. Came back many days later. Changed it. Said it was all fine. Left. Two days later, machine wasn't working. I asked customer service for a new machine. They refused. Took forever for a second technician to come out. Said the board was fried. Had to order one. I called customer service again and asked for a new machine. They refused, said it could be fixed. I asked to speak to someone else. Took many days of calling to get someone to actually call me back. Again they refused a new machine. Waited again. Technician came back with the new board. Nothing. Said these machines actually have two boards and that they were probably both fried. Would have to order the second board. I called customer service back. Forever to get someone to call me back. After much back and forth and many, many phone calls and conversations, I finally convinced them to replace the machine, which they did, reluctantly. All in all I was without a washing machine for over three months, spending quite a bit of time and money going to a laundromat. Next came the fridge. The day the fridge was delivered I called the sales rep to tell him that there was a piece on the bottom of the right-hand door that was bent and scraping against the top of the bottom freezer door. The sales person said it was cosmetic and that they couldn't do anything about cosmetics, that the fridge was working fine. That piece kept bending more and more until, just after the warranty expired, it broke off and the door fell. I called customer service. Weeks of calling to get someone to call me back. Finally reached someone. I explained to them that they sold me a fridge with structural damage, that the 'cosmetic' piece was actually a part that holds up the door. They said the fridge was out of warranty and that they wouldn't fix it. I replied that it was a problem that I had brought up with the sales rep the day I received the fridge and was told, by Tasco, that it was cosmetic. I explaind that had Tasco not said it was cosmetic and had actually sent someone to check the fridge, under warranty, we wouldn't be in this situation now, that Tasco is at least partially responsible for the fridge not having been fixed under warranty. They said that was something I needed to bring up with the sales rep, not with them. I asked if they don't all work for the same company. I explained that when the sales person told me the issue was cosmetic and that they couldn't do anything about it, that he was representing Tasco. They basically said 'too bad'. Had similar customer support issues with a dishwasher. After the dishwasher I thought maybe I just had had a bit of bad luck, so I trusted them with the washer. That was a nightmare. Then the fridge. Once is maybe bad luck. Twice ... maybe. Three times is a just a plain bad choice to go with Tasco. Please save yourself the trouble and headache. Their customer service seems to spend a lot of time, money and effort in doing the least possible. Once you've bought an appliance from them, all of their efforts seem to go into doing what they can to not servicing the customer. I have bought most of my appliances from Costco, for almost 40 years. They used to be great with a very approachable and caring customer service. They have gone to the complete opposite end. They don't care if you've been a customer for 40 years and their customer service is an absolute nightmare. read more

I purchased a Whirlpool Dryer early Oct 2019 from Tasco Mississauga. First attempted delivery of the dryer was damaged, so I declined the unit. I accepted the second delivery of the dryer as there was no obvious physical damage. I used the dryer within an hour and heard a loud metal banging noise from the dryer. I then pulled it out to ensure it was leveled and setup properly and noticed a dent in the back of the unit. That same day, I called Tasco to report my issue and request an exchange, but they initiated a service request with Whirlpool for a repair. I was opposed to the idea of a repair and repeatedly requested Tasco for an exchange. They refused, leaving me no option but to finally allow Whirlpool to see the unit. The Whirlpool technician confirmed that the unit was damaged and did require a repair. Keeping a "broken on arrival" unit was non-negotiable and I continued to request an exchange with Tasco. I then called Tasco Mississauga to speak to the manager, Paul, and he escalated the issue to head office. Tammy from head office then contacted me and continued to push me to Whirlpool for support, again refusing an exchange. I requested Tammy to escalate further and she informed me there was no option or opportunity for further escalation. It has been 21 days since the arrival of my broken dryer where almost daily I have spent time on escalation phone calls, responding to follow-ups, accommodating a repair visit and having to visit Tasco Mississauga in person to meet with management. Unfortunately, all this time and effort has resulted in a futile attempt to exchange a "broken on arrival" unit. I am disgusted in the atrocious customer service I've received from Tasco, especially considering that I've purchased an appliance costing $1000 which was delivered broken at the time of delivery. I have never experienced this with another retailer and I am hopeful that in reporting this through BBB I will receive the exchange or refund of my dryer that I am justly owed. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. It has been 19 months of dealing with both Jennair and Tasco to get an issue with a BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR resolved. Service people have been out to our house FOUR times and each time they have screwed up the issue... wrong part, wrong replacement fridge, not enough service people to move the fridge.... on and on and on. Every time I call Tasco to get an answer, I'm put on hold FOR EVER! Apparently, they don't realize that some people have to work and don't value anybody's time. Do your self a favour and buy MIELE to save yourself headaches and to deal directly with a company that values their customers. read more
