Because of this wonderful telephone technology I was able to see through my daughter's phone and choose the appliance I wanted. I heard her interaction with the Salesman who I came to know as Tim. He was very helpful in answering all our questions and guided me through to complete the payment option I selected. Our delivery went without a hitch. The two young men who arrived with my new stove were very polite and helpful. I received a call to alert me as to their time of arrival as was arranged. They installed the stove and removed the old one. I was very grateful for their help in setting up the appliance to my satisfaction. Worst experience I have ever had. Delivery staff left appliances (washer and dryer) in my family room (at their suggestion) and then refused to come back and install or connect me to a supervisor. customer service hung up on me. it took hours for someone to finally agree to connect me to a supervisor who then agreed to "make and exception" despite the fact that it was their error, not mine. When they came back to install a washing machine they held up my screwdriver (which I had not offered for their use) and said they could not do the job because the space was too tight to remove the screw. When I said I had a smaller screwdriver they used their own electric one and removed the screw in 5 seconds. clearly lying. they then tried to leave with plastic, cardboard and styrofoam all over my living room floor. I told them I had paid for them to remove packaging. they picked up the big pieces and then left the rest for me to clean. I then went to laundry room where they had left garbage all over the floor and parts on the counter with no explantation. they also refused to hook up the dryer due to a purported hvac issue which they did not mention the week before and which has not been as issue for a decade. terrible service start to finish from a bunch of scammers. read more

My sales rep, Mike was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately he was off on the delivery day I selected and the after sales support/customer care team was not very helpful. Honestly, CAS would be better off using an AI chat bot. The responses and support I received felt like it was being read from a checklist. The delivery company that CAS uses was also a dissapointent. The first attempt, they didn't even bother turning down the street. The next day took some coaxing but they did make the turn and made the delivery. Purchased a washer/dryer for a rental property from Michael Blimkie at the North York location. Clearly stated that the washer and dryer were stacked but sales person (Michael) did not include stacking kit on the order. Delivery people left the new appliances in the middle of rental unit and damaged common area property in the building while removing the old ones. Purchased the stacking kit but could not get assistance in prioritizing delivery or installation. On the delivery date, received a call indicating that they forgot to put the stacking kit on the truck and need to reschedule again. Customer service was not willing to prioritize delivery again. No manager or supervisor to escalate to, customer service only offered an email address for complaints that they admitted that no checks. Horrible service from start to finish. read more

I ordered a dishwasher from Canadian Appliance Source in January 2025, putting in a deposit of about $500. I was initially told that it would arrive in about 3 weeks (i.e. early February 2025). In February, I was told that it would arrive late March. As of late April, I had lost any trust that I would receive a dishwasher from Canadian Appliance Source, and asked for my deposit with interest back. Nobody from Canadian Appliance Source responded to my emails. My conclusion is that they were trying to steal my deposit. After asking for the Better Business Bureau to intervene in late April, I quickly got my deposit back. When asked about other compensation, the Canadian Appliance Source did not offer anything. I had purchased a fridge and had it delivered to my rental property. The fridge came damaged and my tenant was preasured to accept it. CAS will not replace it since it was installed. Despite trying to negotiate or come to a compromise CAS will not replace the fridge. I was not there at the time of delivery and I would not have accepted it. There was an availability issue with one of them and Ravi called me right away and resolved it. I got an email last night that they would be here to deliver the new appliances and take away the old ones from 9am to 1pm today. This morning there was an email with a link and at 7:30am the ETA was between 9:50am and 10:30pm. The time kept changing keeping us up to date. I visited the store to purchase a stove. I showed the representative exactly which stove I wanted to purchase. He entered the information and gave me the invoice. Two days later they delivered the wrong stove. I called the store to let them know the wrong stove was delivered. The representative I spoke to assured me that the right stove would be delivered the next day. Again they delivered the wrong stove. I called again and it turns out the representative put in the wrong model number. I spoke to the representative, who blamed me, saying he showed me the invoice so I should have caught his mistake. I stayed home two days from work waiting for my stove, and the manager told me they do not compensate for their errors at all. I would never purchase from a company who would not compensate for an error made by their representative. This company will not take any responsibility as long as the product has left their store. Why would anyone buy from a company that operates this way? You know a good company by the way they deal with their mistakes. This company is not a good company. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE I ordered a drier to substitute mine that broke (Blomberg). I called them and chose the exact same one since it was irreparable. Explained the situation saying the appliance goes on top of the washer and it's screwed in. The agent on the phone was indeed very friendly. I paid Delivery with installation, which for what I had seen it was just plug it in the outlet. I Ordered on October 9th. one week later I called they said "we ordered it and it should be here tomorrow". One more week with no updates. I called again and got the answer that it's been delivered "soon" but no dates yet. 2.5 weeks later it finally arrived. If I lived in Nunavut, It'd be accepted but 2,5 weeks for a delivery in Toronto is unacceptable. Delivery guy comes already with an attitude because someone parked on the LOADING only in front of my building. "you have a problem" he said... At installation, he told me it could not be installed because it's not only to be plugged in the outlet but "much more complicated than that" and told me I had to hire someone to have that done. Since I had no experience with those washer/driers, I let it go. I called a neighbour to take a look and all he had to do was put the drier on top of the washer, hook 2 screws on each side that were already there from the previous one, plug it in and voilà, it's done. I don't usually write bad comments about companies but I could not let this go. First he did it all alone. I bought a fridge and range from them. Love the fridge so much i bought an out box fridge from them to replace an all freezer in my utility room. When I purchased it, it had a scratch on the bottom of freezer. It sat in there warehouse for 2 weeks before they delivered it. When they delivered it I didn't notice that both sides of fridge was dented badly and small dent on front plus small extra scratches on front until the delivery people were out in there truck. I have been dealing with Aftersales dept and they only communicate thru email. All they offered was $150 and an extra 1 year warranty which they said will give me 2 years warranty. Cant rate lower than 1 star and hence forced one star The prices of the products arent that different. The same offers are also seen in best buy, appliance canada. Its more about timing. What is horrible is their delivery system. They dont let us know what time till 4 hours before or end of day before . This is bad for condo dwellers as you cant book service elevators. If the time given is clashing, these people dont give us the opportunity to even discuss opportunity of time adjustment. All they say is that scehdule another day. The day doesnt solve the problem as it is the time slot on the day that is critical. It is understandable that deliveries dont go as planned and hence the need fir work with client and find a way. Literally the worst service I've ever received from any store, ever. And that's not an exaggeration. Bought a stove and dishwasher August 4th. Told them I wanted it delivered late October / early November. For 3 months, they emailed me every few weeks asking me when I wanted it delivered. I kept saying late October / early November and they said it was in stock and ready to deliver, just call back to schedule delivery. In early November I called and said I wanted it to be delivered Nov 16. They said I had to call a week before to schedule delivery. So I waited a week and called again. Now they told me that the stove was out of stock and it *might* be in stock December 4. Then began a series of me being passed around by multiple agents. Their phone line for people who want to purchase appliances are answered almost immediately by a sales rep. But when you need customer service apart from purchases? Tough luck, you'll have to wait on the phone for at least 30 min, and half the time it will be answered by a voice mail. Then you'll have to repeat the same waiting process all over again. Those agents told me I had to call my sales rep, Ravi, to deal with the issue. So I did. He told me I had to call customer support. So I did, and again they told me I had to call my sales rep. No one was willing to take any sort of action. Ravi then blamed me for not calling him earlier and claimed he could hold the stove if he knew. But how am I supposed to know that the stove was going to be out of stock to begin with, and that I would need to call him? Every conversation with CAS, for 3 months, was telling me that my order was in stock and ready for delivery. Ravi said I could get the dishwasher delivered first and the stove later, but I would have to pay an extra delivery fee on the dishwasher. I also asked Ravi to match the price that Rona now had, it was $100 cheaper than the price I had purchased at. He refused, saying no price adjustments after purchase. After some back and forth, I asked Ravi to cancel the whole order. He said I had to call the customer service line for that. The customer service rep I called said I had to talk to Ravi instead. I called Ravi back. He said his manager had to do it. I called the next day to the manager, David. David claimed he could do nothing and I had to fill out a cancellation form on the website, but I might have to pay a 25% restocking fee, since the dishwasher was in stock. The next day, Ravi called me back and said he could cancel the order. Why did it take so long for this issue to be resolved? Why does no one at CAS take responsibility or action for anything and keep passing me down the line to another person? Clearly they only care about getting sales and commission and not at all about the customers. Don't expect any help if things go wrong! n pre-lockdown, you do not need an appointment to visit Canadian Appliance Source showroom. They have a good spectrum of appliance selection for the big four items (fridge, range, dishwasher, washer/dryer) in your house. Sales associates are there to greet you and offer their help should you need it. They are knowledgable about the products and can give you advice to find the one that meets your needs. The showroom is a fairly good size for you to explore with a lot of different models to help find the right fit for you. If you are lucky, they may have open box or floor models at a better discount if you are not scared away by those words. We did have a chance to buy an open box LG washer but they did not have the matching dryer to complete the pair. If they did have it, we would've have probably jumped at the opportunity. When you sit down with a sales associate to talk pricing, they will offer you a discount if you can commit to buying it today. We didn't take the offer as we planned on shopping around. In April 2020 I purchased a Bosch W/D stacked set, and Canadian Appliance did not disclose to me that W/D are not returnable purchases even if you have not used the items. They installed it themselves and told me that in addition, since it was already installed, they would not take the product back. Issue? the Dryer is one of those energy-wise that do not dry your clothes. Go figures, a dryer that does not dry clothes. TOTAL RUNAROUND!!!! Canadian Appliance Source sent me a washing machine meant for the South American market--THE CONTROL BOARD IS ALL IN SPANISH!!! Unfortunately, I did not see this until after the delivery guys left. Both my husband and I were looking at the 'bigger picture': whether it was dented, whether the delivery guys had scraped our hallways, etc. It wasn't until I started pealing off the plastic from the control board that I noticed this. At first we thought that they had just sent us the Spanish version of the model we ordered. When I called them about this they referred me to their Return Authorization Department. They said they would send a tech person from GE to change the control board. But upon closer inspection, we realized it was an entirely different model!!! In the meantime, my daughter did a load on the gentle cycle--The relentless noise the agitator made could be heard all the way in our living room (the machine is a floor above at the back of the house). I have contacted them about this, sending photos of the board, the labels, the model no., etc., hoping to have them come get this Spanish machine and replace it with the model I ordered. Still, they insisted that the tech person must come assess the machine. Meanwhile the laundry is piling up!!! The salesperson who handled the sale said he had no power to expedite a return and strongly suggested I call MABE (the distributor of GE in Canada) to get some sort of resolution. The reply email from the Return Authorization Dept. literally gives a phone no. from GE to call to get a quicker response. TOTAL RUNAROUND!!! And there is no way to get a number to their corporate head office that I can find in order to escalate the issue and the employees at CAS and GE refuse to give me one. The tech from GE is due to come tomorrow--I will keep you updated on the outcome...our lesson: Before those delivery men leave your house, CHECK YOUR MODEL NO.S, PEOPLE!!! BTW, their response time can take up to 48 hours--and the laundry continues to pile up... UPDATE: After talking to GE and they assuring me that the tech was aware that the machine is a different model, the tech showed up with the wrong replacement panel. CAS said they needed the serial no. in order to move forward--the only serial no. on the machine is a bar code, which I had sent them a photo of. Still they said they needed the actual number--I had to call GE to get the actual number. You would think they would have thought to do that! All of this is transpiring over emails which I've had to wait over 24 hours for responses--I've repeatedly ask that they call me to resolve the situation and they haven't. So I called the help number and got a vague "I'll put in a ticket" but no idea when we'd get help, no time frame at all, fill out a form on the website if I want a refund. I asked and he said it was just some third party call centre in Mauritius! So I called the store and pressed The button for sales to get an actual person in the store and he said he couldn't do anything-- get the robo-chat on the website! My dishwasher just died.  I have an extended warranty but the warranty company W3 Solution/WGI Service Plan/IA Financial Group have voided my warranty as I have not paid the bill for when Canadian Appliance called them (W3) back to look at my fridge for the frost issues in the freezer. I would give zero stars if I could. First off the sales associate gave me incorrect info about the appliance and when I emailed him after he asked me how could be expected to know as they sell "thousands of appliances". Also, my fridge was delivered without the screw assembly kit and I have been talking to CAS for the last three weeks to try and get one sent out. Finally I called electrolux again today and was told it will be several more weeks. CAS is doing nothing to help me or give me a quick exchange so that I don't have to have a fridge without handles for two months. They then finally sent me parts but they were the incorrect parts (wrong size) and only sent 2 when clearly there are 3 handles requiring 4 parts each. Now they keep saying I have to deal with electrolux directly and they cannot do an exchange or expedite the parts to me. This company is terrible. I think the only way they could get good reviews is if you're lucky enough to have your appliance delivered intact - but the real test of a company is their customer service when something goes wrong. The sales associate (Ahmed from Scarborough) has not replied to my emails and all I get are generic replies from customer service saying the parts and services department has been contacted and I need to wait to hear. I would purchase these parts elsewhere if I could but they are not available at regular stores or on amazon or parts places. It is maddening. They don't care - I spent over 3K on a fridge a month ago and still don't have the parts to complete its assembly. Do not go here. From now on I will only purchase from Costco or the Bay or a larger department store where they take customer service seriously. Just before this fridge I had ordered one from Costco but it turned out the online measuresments were incorrect - when I called Costco they immediately sent someone to pick it up - no questions asked. Meanwhile CAS has done nothing to correct this issue and won't even allow me to return it until Electrolux contacts me and arranges tocome and do an inspection of the fridge. This company is a scam. This is the absolute worst for customer service. They sold me a broken Dacor dishwasher and would not replace it. They wanted to send a repair person, but I had paid for a brand new one, not a repaired one. For over a month I tried to get some help from them. Then I read their return policy. See photo below. These people do not stand behind what they sell at all! Won't let you talk to supervisor at customer service either. "They don't talk to customers" was the answer. I can not believe how horrible these people were and it cost way more than a basic dishwasher. I will never go there again and I'm telling everyone I know not to go their either. Our experience mirrored those of numerous others posted here which unfortunately we did not read before buying. Basically, the sales service is great but the support for defective merchandise is non existent. In terms of sales, we previously purchased a dishwasher then recently a washer and dryer and in both cases the sales person was very knowledgeable and did not use a hard sell approach like so many other appliance retailers. With the washer and dryer we paid for the extended warranty and well as installation services for peace of mind, expecting that if there were any problems with the new units the service department would take as good care of us as the sales department. Well, the dryer arrived broken (would not run) and CAS policy for defective merchandise became clear very quickly: it's your problem, not ours. Any problems during the first year of ownership, even if it's as blatant as a defective unit, must be taken up with the manufacturer. In our case that meant paying for an extra technician to come on the service call because the units were stacked and the manufacturer requires them to be unstacked before servicing. So we went for a week and half without any laundry facilities and ended up with a machine that stripped down into pieces (see photo) and rebuilt in order to fix the problem (which turned out to be a broken heating coil). We told both CAS and the manufacturer it was unacceptable to pay for a brand new machine only to be saddled with what is effectively a reconditioned unit. Neither was willing to replace the unit. If you don't find this policy fair you may want to consider taking your business elsewhere. read more

I did not realize until too late that the deposit is only to hold the price - it does not guarantee that they will be able to deliver you the product. They took my "deposit" 8 months ago, have financially penalized me for changes I have made to the order, and when I go to book the delivery they tell me that they are out of stock and are not expecting to be back in stock for another 4 months!!!! We built our kitchen around these appliances. They also refuse to refund our deposit so we can't purchase from somewhere else. And they don't have any other fridges that will fit. They waited until after I paid the full amount and tried to schedule delivery before telling me about these issues. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM AT ALL. I don't usually write comments. In this case, I was annoyed with this company enough to write something. I have never bought from this company before but I thought I would give it a try - that was a mistake!!! I ordered 2 packages of water filter for my fridge online - which they promised delivery in 2-3 weeks. After not hearing from them over 5-6 weeks, I contacted them and then found out their manufacturer no longer produced the products. The sale team was courteous (and would reply my email in a timely fashion) which I appreciated but I was not impressed in how the company as a whole deal with their customer. They did not seem to know what their manufacturer does or does not do. Even the sale team would agree that the customer should not be the one to chase down the product. LEFT WITH A UNUSABLE $1000 MICROWAVE BOUGHT LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AGO/with entended warrenty .Cant get any return calls.gotta keep calling to you get sales guy on phone.keep opening tickets. Service company is saying unit is so new GE CAFE doesnt have parts. just about at 4 weeks of trying to get fixed.I know have to wait longer till they get parts in from maybe china. 0 help from CAS sales and 0 help fro GE. will not be buying anymore GE. or shopping at CAS. got my money.
