I had never been to Cheyenne so I was close enough to take a run up. Lucky for me because I found this place and fell in love! The staff is friendly and helpful the food was outrageous and the baked good were to die for. I tried the cabbage burger which I've never even heard of but it's almost enough to make me want to move here! This is a really cute bakery with genuine charm and character. It looks like it came out of another decade, but that's a good thing. I got an egg salad sandwich meal deal and was also able to pick up gifts for some friends as I was passing through (breads, sweets, local honey and jam, etc). This is the epitome of a country deli! The women behind the counter are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their baked goods looked delectable. My boyfriend and I each ordered a sandwich, and they were both delicious! They have all sorts of funny signs on the walls, and their house baked bread stuffs every available shelf space. I would definitely return here, and I would recommend that anyone stop by for lunch, bread, or baked goods. read more

Loved the Bread Basket. A really great find in a residential area. It's a wonderful bakery and a great spot for a yummy sandwich. They have a wide variety of fresh breads, homemade granola, rolls, cookies and desserts available. It's a quaint little place with about 6 small tables. The ladies working there were very friendly. We stopped here on our way through town. A solid cafe. Not the most amazing, but better than fast food. And it was just as fast.

Their sandwiches are excellent and there are always fresh vegetables and fresh bread available. None of it is greasy or have an excess of condiments which is how I like it. Being able to enjoy a sandwich and the variety of fresh flavors. I also love that they have alfalfa. I used to eat that stuff from a jar as a kid after letting it grow in the sun for a week. read more

I went here the other day for lunch. I had the Turkey Sandwich meal, and it was really good. The bread is made fresh daily there. They do have a tiny dining area in this little store. I thought their prices were quite high for no more food than you get, but the quality was really good. Its not somewhere I would go often due to the prices, but once in a while it would be a good treat. read more

I give it a 3 because of staff and good variety of pastries. The breakfast is not the best. And being they have bread you would think they would have breakfast sandwiches instead of buckets of pre made burritos they make early in the morning and keep wrapped in foil in a bucket behind the register. Haven't eaten lunch here but maybe it's worth a try since they have more lunch options. As for the cookies here id say they are so so. Nothing amazing about this place so far. Maybe next time I will have a better review based on lunch and if it's just like breakfast it may be my last time in. read more

Thank goodness for this place. Everyone is so friendly and breads/pastries displayed look sooo good its hard to make a choice. Had a chicken salad sandwich on old fashioned white bread. This is a great little place. I'm glad a drove a little off the beaten track to escape all the fast food and other chain establishments to find something local. I had a soup and sandwich combo, which also included a cookie, all for less than $7. Hard to beat that, especially when it's as delicious as this place is. The breads and desserts look amazing too. Ok. Pecan divinity cookie. Is divine. A crazy perfect mashup of a meringue and a pecan sandy. Never had that cross done so perfectly. The almost creamy richness on the outer like a sand tart then the airy crunch on the inside. Not too sweet. This is amazing. The roast beef on garlic cheddar with a solid tomato bisque combo was delicious as well. Fast service from the friendly informative team. Stop by for sure. I heard about this place on Yelp so I decided to give it a try while passing through town. I was not disappointed. Everyone there was really friendly. And if I needed baked goods I would've definitely been the right place! I asked what would be good for lunch and the woman there recommended their breakfast burrito. It was extremely affordable, I think it was $3.50, and along with a $.50 cookie made a good meal, but it really should have come with a little packet of salsa. :( read more

Went here for lunch todat. The construction made it a little difficult to find. The ham and potato soyp in a bread bowl was very good and the tuna salad on marblr rye was outstanding. All their bakery items looked excellent . read more

Hands down the best marble rye I've ever had. It was so tasty and actually quite beautiful to look at too. ( which sounds so weird but it was!). Tried 6 different cookies and the favorite was the chocolate thumbprints. Service was friendly at the counter. If we didn't live in ca, I would visit the bread basket every day. read more

This place is awesome for a quick, but delicious, lunch. I got a half turkey sandwich on cheddar garlic bread (!!) and a cup of ham and potato soup. The half sandwich/soup is a lunch special, so you also get a cookie with your order (you order at the counter). Everything was great! The bread was delicious, they put enough meat on the sandwich, you can pick your toppings, the soup was homemade and hearty. I gave the cookie to my mom, so can't speak for their baked goods, though they looked amazing!!! Will be back to try a slice of cake fore sure. read more
