My daughter and I were going to the James Dean Museum and were starving. The Branch is the only place to eat in town. It is a coffee shop with food. The staff were amazing and the restaurant was clean. The coffee was delicious and they have homemade muffins. The soup and the taco salad were ok. Fairmount really needed this little saving grace! Everyone who works here is friendly, kind, and welcoming. The food options are great for lunch - light, refreshing, and pretty healthy, too. I don't care for coffee, but this place has a great selection of fun coffee drinks if you do like coffee. First time visit likely our last - I really wanted sausage gravy until I asked if it was homemade and determined it was pre packaged gravy - instead had a bagel, egg and cheese sandwich with coffee - honestly nothing special especially when egg is obviously bought in a pre-made GFS package and not cracked fresh - wife had a ham and Swiss - again nothing special - the cinnamon roll was excellent (plus one star) should have skipped breakfast sandwich! What a modern change to Main Street Fairmount with this spacious and modern coffeehouse. The coffee, frappes and speciality coffee drinks are a great way to start your morning. The frappes come in two sizes, several options for flavor and even coffee free for kids! I was told to try the White Mocha by a local and she was right, it was excellent. The food options are equally impressive. From the convenient muffin options to the custom breakfast sandwich options, there's no reason you should leave here hungry. Lunch options from paninis and wraps to soups and salads. There's even a pick two combo if you cant commit to just one menu item. The combos come with a bag of chips or apple option as well. Two coworkers and I went to the lovely town of Fairmount to pick up eclipse glasses from the library, and decided to stay for lunch! The cafe is delightfully decorated, and the food was perfect for a quick lunch. I had the grilled cheese and sliced apple with iced tea. The atmosphere was wonderfully small town and friendly. We enjoyed the "trays" made of wood slices, burned with the cafe's logo. We hope to return soon to try their baked goods! read more

They have a delicious mocha frappe; it tasted like a milkshake! My husband also enjoyed his Americano. Service was friendly and personable. The food also looked tasty and fresh, though we didn't get anything. It took a little longer than expected, but there was a huge group of cyclists that came all at once, so that's to be expected. read more

The best coffee and food if you need a quick bite to eat and a nice pick me up drink. I always get a chai latte and a breakfast sandwich. Far better than Starbucks and the people are much more personable. Definitely would love to stop in daily but I only get to swing in when I'm in town! Just ate there again today! Had some great Corn Chowder and a small chef salad for my Take Two offer, which also came with chips or sliced apples. My daughter in law had a chicken wrap with chips and grand daughter had a grilled cheese with sliced apples as her side. We enjoy eating there. Very happy to have it in Fairmount! read more

Friendly people, good prices and home-cooked food. This is a great place. Even if you need to drive out of your way from interstate 69 or one of the surrounding cities you will love the small town ambience as well as the good food/service at this locally run café. read more
