After 9 months of getting our drapes and blinds wrong, not…read moresending correct color, sizes, THE ITEMS themselves, forgetting to reorder, not returning our calls ( also no one in management has voice mail in these stores so you have to rely on someone passing a note to the person you're working with) - AFTER ALL of this..... resolve! 9 full months of me bitching, crying., pleading, screaming....they are finally installed and correct! My husband and I cannot believe it's over! The thing they did right and although we had to negotiate a bit, was they compensated us fairly. For this they get a couple extra stars. I still doubt I'll trust them again or shop there but they told us at the end they would monetarily compensate. At first, they offered it in the beginning to get me to agree to a price but I kept saying, let's wait and see how much longer this will take.! Good thing because I told them months ago and repeated it frequently when it was discussed that I feel 10% for each month you get this wrong is fair compensation. I said that way back in month 3 and held fast to it. 9 months later.... we received exactly that. 90% off! It was the right thing for Lowe's to do, and they knew it. Arguing with me is pointless because I'm retired guys, I have all the time in the world to argue with you. We received the amount back into our account the day I had to call Brad, the store manager, back a week after the work was all complete ( he wasn't going to call but assured me he had planned to just that same day!). Since we paid cash it was a quick fix back into our account and Brad, finally did the right thing. It was best my husband and I didn't go back in to Lowe's to resolve our compensation no matter how good it was. My husband does not want to meet Brad. So, if you have time, no patience but enough stick-to-it-ness to put up with their horrible customer service, incompetence and uncaring attitudes, don't go to Lowe's unless you want a mess. We are happy with our end product, happy with Frank Lucas, the contractor who ended up, at our request , to do remaining installs on everything and happy with the compensation. I really wish I felt Lowe's learned something valuable from all of this and were able to teach their workers but I don't think management acknowledged the issues and so I doubt that happened.
