I got married at the Bradford Ranch back in December 2016 (I know it's been a while) and this place was gorgeous! Juliette was super awesome, she was very patient and accommodating she worked with our schedules, she's just super great! Carol was super sweet and lovely too! The ranch is awesome, it's surrounded by trees and that's exactly what I was looking for. We took some really nice pics and everything worked out perfectly! What an extraordinarily beautiful venue! I loved the lil lady that runs it and grateful she let me go to an old tree in the back to photograph my sweet couple. This tree had a personality all it's own and I'd never photographed anything like it! Simply a charming rustic venue. I have recommended to tons of my brides. Our local Community Organization has held its last two events at The Bradford Ranch, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Carole Bradford (yes... it REALLY is a family ranch!) could not have been better to work with. She knew all the ins and outs, and the best possible setup for our quite-large group. The barn and corral area is just perfect. It's truly authentic-- not Disneylandish in any way. This is the real thing. An original homestead with both inside and outside venues. [As an aside, the UGG Boots Company had just finished filming a promo/commercial there, complete with sheep, and sheep men!] The drive in is one-half mile of tree-lined winding (but paved) road. The trees were just beginning to turn color, and it was gorgeous. My family has already flown out to take a look at the venue, and we're putting together plans for a large, catered family reunion next year. It will be awesome! read more

We just recently catered a wedding at The Bradford Ranch and we fell in love with this venue. The venue is big enough to accommodate big corporate cocktail receptions for up to 700 people or sit down dinner for weddings or corporate events for up to 300 people possibly. The venue is very big with different options on where the reception area, ceremony area and cocktail hour could be. The view is just fantastic. It's a perfect setup for family style type of dinner, plated dinner or buffet. It's also the perfect place for a farm chic wedding. With little to no noise and timeline restriction, you can not find any venue with such flexibilities. I would highly recommend The Bradford Ranch for anyone planning an outdoor event. read more

The venue is gorgeous, however the woman who runs it is extremely rude. I was leaving the venue after having done the hair and makeup for a wedding and I got lost. The woman came yelling at me "where do you think you are going? Why are you over here? Does that look like the exit?" I had to explain to her that I was lost and that it didn't look like the way out, which is why I backed up..." she continued to scold me and tell me to "use your brain and go out the same way you came in". I have never been so insulted by a stranger in my life....all for a mistake! As I stated before, the property is beautiful but NEVER would I sacrifice a special day to deal with such a negative and vile woman. Book at your own risk... read more

We had a beautiful and affordable wedding with 80 guests at the ranch on 8/11/18. The owner was great to let us come to visit the ranch as long as we were able to contact her a couple days in advance. She is very responsive to her email and phone. We did have some problems with the owner being rude with my relatives once we were at the ranch prepping for the wedding a couple of days before the wedding. From the beginning there was a lot of confusion between the venue manager and the owner. At the beginning I was told I had to contact the venue manager for anything that I needed. It was difficult to get in touch with the venue manager for not only myself but also for others helping like my mother in law, coordinator and caterer. Therefore I decided not to use her as a coordinator and saved myself A LOT of money and hassle. The manager was there the day of the wedding helping my coordinator. They were not very cooperative with my coordinator therefore it was difficult in getting correct information. For example we bought a bar package with the vendor Ranch Events and then on the day of the wedding the owner tells us that we can not bring any alcohol for the licensed bartender to serve. Also, in order for things to get fixed at the venue we had to go there and do it ourselves. Our wedding was until 12 and they told my DJ that after 10 we had to turn down our music but they did not tell us that until a week before. They said that either the venue manager or their laborer would move their items to where we wanted them for our setup. My family did at least two days worth of hard work at the venue. We never heard from the manager and never saw the laborer. The owner was complaining that we were there for too long but there was so much that wasn't done that it took us forever! My father in law fixed the bar and photo backdrop that the venue manager said that she would fix and provide to us through the contract. Let's just say this venue is beautiful and we were able to make it work but we had to do ALOT and it was very stressful! The day of the wedding went great but it was the problems that we encountered leading up to the wedding that were the major issues. I also had to contact the owner several times about getting the deposit back. read more

My husband and I were married at Bradford Ranch in October of 2015 and it is truly a magical place for a wedding. We wanted an old-fashioned carnival wedding and we were able to make it happen at the ranch. There are so many options for the locations for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception to take place that we were really able to create a personalized evening that allowed everyone to take in the beautiful surroundings. Juliette, the site coordinator is a dream to work with. She's so professional, friendly, and easy to work with that I actually hired her to be my month-of wedding coordinator as well. And I couldn't have asked for a better person on the job. She made the whole experience as stress-free as planning a wedding can be. The owner, Carole is a hoot. She refers to the part of the ranch where she has the weddings as "the back 40," and she is not exaggerating on the expansiveness of the location. There is a beautiful long driveway that leads up to the coral and the main part of the property. Once you're there, you feel like you have that little part of the world to yourself. And a bonus to it being a little remote is that we were able to have a live band and rock out for the whole night. Jamul is a little out there, but it's so worth the drive to have such a beautiful wedding location. And really it's only like 35 minutes from downtown, so that's not bad at all. Our out of town guests stayed at Sycuan and were able to ride on a bus we charted for them through Sycuan. Super easy! The evening went off without a hitch and people are still telling us that it was the most fun they had at a wedding. The awesomeness of the ranch really helped to make that happen. A lot of people mentioned that it's great for a large party, which I would think it would be, but we had a pretty small guest list of about 60 people. We kept the cocktail hour in the sunken garden and the reception in the coral and it really felt very intimate even surrounded by the large open spaces. Plus, the sunken garden was a perfect place to drink cool beverages in the shade of the trees while the afternoon cooled off. By the time we were in the coral for the reception, the temperature in the Jamul foothills was perfect even though it was blazing downtown. I can't recommend the ranch enough! read more

I am so upset! The reviews and pictures look so great on here! My fiancé and I wanted to have a small ceremony with just immediate family and close friends. To skip the courthouse I found this venue on Google and thought of how perfect it would be with their elopement package. I emailed Juliette and didn't get a response until 3 days. She apologized because she was sick. Okay no problem. I emailed her asking what days were available and how customizable the packages were and no response! I've emailed and called her and nothing! I don't know what's going on because she has good reviews. Well I am happy for everyone who got to experience this place. read more

Wow! Where do I begin. We recently got married at the Bradford Ranch on March 28th and it was absolutely amazing! We wanted a casual wedding where we could dance and drink with our closest friends and family and that is exactly what we got! The venue is spectacular. It is off the beaten path, but that is the best part about it. They really allow you to turn the place into your dream wedding. Most places schedule multiple weddings on the same weekend, which makes set up/clean up difficult. Not the case here! You get the ranch for the entire weekend and it is so worth it. We had a very DIY wedding, so it was so nice to be able to set things up on Friday and clean them up on Sunday. Also, the bride and groom get to stay the night in the Honey House the night of the wedding. So no hotel/transportation reservations needed. They allow you to bring in all of your own vendors which was a huge plus for us! Also, there aren't many neighbors near by so you can celebrate later then you would be able to at most venues. These were all the most important factors to us when deciding on a venue. Now, let's talk about Juliette, the wedding coordinator. From the initial inquiry to the last minute of the wedding she was there to answer any questions/concerns, and help us in any way she could. Without her, I don't think any of it would have gone smoothly. She listens to all your wants/needs and will help/advise you in any way she can. She is 100% professional and truly cares about each of her clients "Big Day." I really didn't know much about wedding planning and I certainly didn't think wedding coordinators were necessary but she proved me wrong! Without her I would have been 1000x more stressed out. Bottom line, this venue is amazing and Juliette is amazing. If you are looking for a beautiful ranch venue in San Diego this is the spot. We wouldn't change a thing about the venue or our wedding! read more

My wife and I wanted a rustic California wedding, and The Bradford Ranch was a perfect venue! Breathtakingly scenic and large enough to have several options for your cocktail hour, ceremony and reception locations. We loved having the freedom to personalize the space and get creative. We brought in food trucks, a bluegrass band, lawn games and more! Both our coordinator, Juliette, and the ranch owner, Carole, were professional, accommodating and so welcoming. The ranch is an easy drive from San Diego.. We transported our guests from North Park by bus. But be sure to check with bus charter companies first, as some buses can't handle the steep hills. We had an August wedding and were concerned about the heat, but the elevation in Jamul made for absolutely perfect weather! Having a wedding at the Bradford Ranch felt like getting married in a family home. We would highly recommend this venue for any outdoor event! read more

We were looking to get married at a ranch that wasn't to far from home, and had that rustic feel that we both love. When we met both Carole Bradford and Juliette Fagerwold, they gave us a tour of the ranch we instantly knew that this is where we wanted to have our wedding. Carole is so sweet and she is so helpful with accommodating certain things for the Bride and Groom, she truly helped make our day so special. There are multiple different areas for the reception, ceremony, cocktail hour, etc., and getting married under the giant oak tree was everything I had envisioned and more. Myself and my bridesmaids got ready in Carole's cute little honey cottage, and we absolutely loved it! Carole also gave guests rides on her golf cart from the parking area to the ceremony, which was extremely helpful for some guests of ours. Juliette was hired as our month of coordinator, and she did such an amazing job making sure everything went accordingly from start to finish, and that my husband, myself, and all of our guests were stress free and having a great time. We couldn't be anymore grateful for everything Carole and Juliette did for us and how much they contributed to making our wedding day so special.
