I really hate to have to post a negative review, but I feel it is important to relate my experience…read morewith getting a clock repaired by "Back In Time Clock Repair", which is a service provided at Kathy's Kove & Kafe. The following review is my opinion of my experience in taking my grandmother's clock there to get the 8 day key winding mechanism repaired, which had stopped running. The clock had recently been hanging on my wall for several years, where it was regularly looked at and admired by both myself and my family members who remembered it hanging in my grandmother's home for over 50 years. The clock was taken to Kathy's Kove where it was looked over by Kathy and I was quoted a price of $125 for the repair. I was told that the clock would be given to another individual who does the actual repair work. I agreed, and the clock was left with Kathy. Several days later, I received a call saying that if I wanted the original mechanism repaired, it would now cost several hundreds of dollars, but that they could remove the mechanism and replace it with a quartz (battery) mechanism. I was not happy about this turn of events, but the clock has sentimental value to me, and I would like to keep it running so I agreed to have it switched over to a battery mechanism. A couple of weeks after that, I received a call that my clock was ready to be picked up. When I went to the shop, my clock was laid out on a table. The first thing I noticed was that a sizable piece of decorative molding circling the clock face was now missing. I immediately brought this to Kathy's attention, and she brushed off my concern by saying something to the effect, "Oh, it was probably like that when you brought it in, and you probably just didn't notice." OH, REALLY??? I had this clock hanging on my wall for several years, and looked at it all the time. I THINK I WOULD HAVE NOTICED A LARGE PIECE OF MISSING MOLDING BY NOW!!! I noticed that a photocopied picture had been taken of the damaged area, and stapled to the receipt I was handed when I picked up the clock. This photo was taken at some point AFTER I left the clock in their care. No photos were taken of the clock when I dropped it off, because there was no damage to note at that time! Of course, there is nothing I can do now except live with the damage, as these kinds of situations are their word against yours. They of course just claim the clock was damaged when it was entrusted to them, but I know it was not. And that is where things will unfortunately have to be left. But I can inform and warn others of my experience, and advise that if you have a clock that needs repair, especially if it is a treasured family piece that you have a sentimental attachment to, that you seek out another place to get it repaired. If you entrust a clock here, you do so at your own peril. I of course will not patronize these people again.

They have a lunch menu, plus pastries and baked goods, and 80-plus types of tea to choose from. (You can also buy tea leaves by the ounce so you can brew it at home.) I especially enjoyed the chocolate mint tea over ice. It has a very nice flavor and was served with a strawberry and the slight strawberry flavor really made it that much better.

I think the bagels are one of the best in the area. The place does not get enough credit for…read morebagels. They are hand made daily and are fresh. Nice and soft and if you come in the morning right out of the oven the hot ones they practically melt in your mouth. The cookies and pastries are delicious if you get them fresh. This place does not do high volume and I find often they sit for weeks and are not all that good just sitting in the case. I was surprised how good the coffee is and the ice cream which is also made in the back. I tried the pierogie and stuffed cabbage which are OK but nothing that impressed me. If you need a cake baked they will do an outstanding job as it will be done from scratch and to your needs. I can never pass up their bagels or cookies just make sure they have not been sitting around for long period of time.

Over priced and poorly made products. You can get the same items at a much better price and better tasting at either Shop Rite or Walmart! At least Shop Rite and Walmart supports the local community by donating to the Crisis shelters, food banks and local organizations in need. Not these people! Never ever get anything on Monday. That stuff has been on the rack all day Sunday! The ice cream is NOT made there it is out of a tub. They have a captive audience at that area because people are there for other things like the DMV. Updated! Thank god this crap place is closed!!!! Left an open spot for a legitimate business instead a herd of HACKS!

I like this place, I come here twice a week and ALWAYS take home extra bagels for sandwiches later…read more It's all the best parts of a City Bagel shop (great, fresh bagels and good quality individual + sides) without having to deal with whole experience. I call them at 5:50 am (Bagels come out at 3 & 4:30am -at least that's what I can tell) and by 6:05 my order is ready to be picked up. Its hard to find quality food in Hunterdon and Warren County, the small shops are mostly all gone or being run by money hungry, penny pinching owners (the ones that use stock cheese on your food bc it costs 2 pennies less) - you wont find any of that here. Prices when i first started going was about $10 got a breakfast sandwich, 3 bagels and a coffee; now it's closer to $15. Service is what you expect in a loud, busy, crowded and most of the time - Hot (the ovens are 12 feet from you) place. You need to speak up when they ask "who's next" but they're attentive and write down your order; in 12 years of coming here, the only time they messed up my order (they put cheese when I said no cheese) they gave me the extra sandwich and told me to give it away to someone. I used to work at a bagel shop and the amount of food we'd throw away because of a screwed up order would tear my heart open; at least Muheisen's doesn't do this. Five stars all day everyday for my favorite bagel place in New Jersey
