We tried The Bowl and ordered two different bowls--the Barefoot Bodie and the Key West--with very different results. The Barefoot Bodie was noticeably thicker than expected and didn't have much peanut butter flavor at all. In fact, it tasted more like almond butter had been used instead. It wasn't bad by any means, just not what we were expecting, and not something we'd personally order again. The Key West, however, was fantastic. The blend of açaí, pineapple, mango, banana, and coconut milk was bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Topped with granola, strawberries, banana, coconut shreds--and blueberries added on top--it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on and came together beautifully. While one bowl missed the mark for us, the Key West alone is more than enough reason to return. Would definitely order that one again. read more

The Bowl has cute vibes and offers a clean and healthy environment. The Bowl offers unique blends of bases that are not solely açaí. We got 6 bowls to go and could not tell the difference between some of the bowls, as they did not label the lids. We went back in to confirm, they looked annoyed, looked at it for 30 seconds and told us which was which but seemed like a guess as the only difference was the base. I'd suggest they label the bowl lids for all customers to confirm what they got. It takes 20 seconds and saves lost of confusion or any possible allergy-related mishaps. I paid extra for peanut butter and they gave maybe 2 tbsps to a large bowl - which is cheap and unenjoyable for me. I love supporting a local açaí shop and would recommend this as a local juicery that is feel good, healthy food, but a bit pricey. read more

The base is blended fresh and the ingredients appeared fresh as well. Waitstaff were friendly and the vibe is good. Prices are a tad higher than expected (1/2 star deduction) and one of our bowls was made incorrectly. They quickly offered to fix the mistake...but did so by scraping off the shredded coconut instead of making a new one (1/2 star deduction). The place is located next to a Starbucks which offers plenty of outside seating. The two girls working the counter on Saturday morning were not very nice or accommodating. While the bowls are good and so is the açaí, the staff could be much more pleasant and helpful. We added fruit to our bowls as they would not allow us to substitute fruit for the coconut. I love this place. It is a very chill atmosphere where you can sit and do work, if needed. The staff is very friendly. And the pitaya bowls are delcious!!! The pitaya gives this light citrus feeling. Today I spoke to Kylee Brinkman, the owner and mind behind the bowl. She shared a few fun facts. For one, they only use 100% compostable bowls, cups, lids, straws and spoons! I was most impressed with her philanthropic efforts. She is huge on giving back to the community. They do something called "Bowls for benefits". It's a Quarterly initiative where they choose A local non profit and help draw awareness to their mission. 100% of profits for the day go to benefit the organization. Wow! 100%!! Kylee also has what I call: a Heart for education. She does discounts for good students. She partners with local schools to provide a student incentive card. This is one of the best acai bowls I've had in Florida. It's a legit, almost feels like I'm in Hawaii acai bowl. I don't know the recipe, but it tastes like they don't add any ice like other places do. Do you know how sometimes when you get a bowl and it tastes watered down, or thin? I tend to have a hard time continuing my diet of clean eating when I travel, so when I spent a month in Naples my first mission was to find healthy spots that I could frequent on days that I was out & about. The Bowl was the first result to pop up in my search and I'm glad it did. I'm from Boston and while we have plenty of awesome smoothie shops here, no one does it quite like the bowl. The açaí bowls are delicious and the actual smoothie aspect is always flavorful, which surprisingly isn't common for many smoothie bowl joints I've been to. So while I was here, I made sure to get my fill! I tried: Early Bird Smoothie- Great for people that like to start their day with something more protein & fat based than just sugary, and the calorie content was a win over some of the other options. The flavor could've been a little stronger but all in all, it was really good and I loved that it combined my breakfast & morning coffee. (8.5/10) Good Morning Smoothie- Insanely good and once again, I loved that it incorporated protein & healthy fats since I don't love starting my day with nothing but carbs. It was a little more exciting than the Early Bird flavor-wise. The only downside for me is that the calories are pretty high for my usual morning smoothie (around 400), so I only had this as a treat once or twice. (8.5/10) Good Vibes Smoothie- Snagged this on my way to the beach when I was craving something fruity. Flavor was really good and I'd recommend it for a sweet, refreshing treat, but not something I'd start my day with since it packs a whopping 76 carbs with only 2 grams of protein. Mainly a good one for smoothie purists who like their smoothies fruity. (7.6/10) Berry + Green Bowl- For my friends that want a bowl without the calorie price tag, this one is surely the answer to your prayers. While I missed the comfort of the banana and peanut butter flavors I loved in the Bodie, I still got plenty of bang for my calorie buck and would for sure order this again and again. A really great, light option to start your day. (9/10) Barefoot Bodie Bowl- Ah, yes. The bowl that won my heart. While the calorie count on this one is again, a little high for breakfast, it does come packed with protein & healthy fats that'll keep you satisfied for hours. It could honestly even be split between two people, but trust me, you won't want to share. (10/10) The granola was off the chain and I'd highly recommend bringing a bag or two home with you when you're traveling. My only bone to pick is that I've been recreating a lot of these at home and after some experimentation, I'm wondering if The Bowl uses sweetened coconut flakes and sweetened nut/hemp milks in their concoctions. I usually picture smoothie bowls as being naturally sweet, so added sugars aren't something I particularly want to see in mine, but if that's what makes them so good then I understand why they'd opt for those options. Overall though, I was thoroughly impressed as a self-proclaimed smoothie bowl connoisseur and I miss it every day. read more
