Italian bread had a perfect crunchy exterior and soft in the middle which went perfectly with the whipped cheese and red peppers. Fruit was fresh and good variety. What a creative menu. Lots of European delights. As a first experience we wanted to try both ends of the spectrum. I had an omelette with smoked salmon, spinach and mozzarella. So fresh and tasty. Also, potato wedges and a fluffy croissant. Portions were perfect. Bob went the sweet route and wow what a chocolatey wonderland. He balanced his choice with scrambled eggs and ham on the side. On a whim, we decided to try this spot for breakfast. The menu instantly reminded me of a European cafe with lots of different types of cuisine from Italian to French to Greek. When I asked our server what the history was of the restaurant, he shared that it's a family owned business. They're from Montenegro and the dishes are inspired by the various empires that have held power in the country through their history. Long story short, we were not disappointed! First, the coffee is great and I love the carafe they leave at the table for extra pours. They complicate the french toast by adding custards, dry tiramisu crumbly biscuits (ladyfingers) that are NOT coffee soaked (they're, dry), gelato, etc. The potato hash is often warm to cold, and "steak," in the omelette is tough. This is a pic of their salmon and shrimp lunch special. The sauce was runny, sweet, and didn't compliment the dry fish. Zoom in. You can see how dry the "grilled" fish is, not to mention the potatoes. The dish was as unappetizing as it looks. To make matter worse, when I brought this to the attention of the waiter, including the price of this dish for what I was getting, he said I'd pay at least double or triple at other places.
