What an amazing discovery! I must past this Marathon gas station thousand times and did not realize there is a breakfast and lunch facility. It was located between a Goodwill and Culvers in Corkscrew Road off I-75. I was running a little late in my schedule. With the mindset of "What the hell, nothing ventured nothing gain!", I stop by to have brunch. The sweet lady behind the counter answered a few questions and I opted for a Chorizo burrito and a Hori Hohi. The chorizo Burrito was well made with mild chorizo, two fried eggs, hash brown, salsa roja, jalapeno and creamy cheese wrapped in flour tortilla. It was freshly made, hot and savory! Originally, I wanted an iced JOE but saw Hori Hohi. So, I switched to Hori Hohi! Hori Hohi is like a latte or sweetened milk drink over coffee ice cubes. Wow, it went very well with my Chorizo burrito! Don't let the fact it is inside a gas station stop you! This is a great place for breakfast and brunch or lunch! Their menus are simple and limited but judged by what I had and shown on other tables, they are freshly made! I had the "in da club" sandwich on the Kaiser roll and it was delicious! (Ask for the chipotle Mayo on the side to add to the sandwich!) Beyond impressed with such a well executed sandwich 1. The egg yolk isn't dry and it isn't too runny. It's just the right amount of creamy. You get to enjoy a soft yolk without the mess. 2. The avocados are smashed! No slippery mess of avocados squishing out of the sandwich. Avocado in every bite! 3. Finally, and this is a big one. The avocados and spinach are on the bottom of the sandwich (excuse my upside down sandwich photo). Found this place by accident. I stopped to get gas and found this cool little sandwich shop within the gas station. They have an awesome concept and they put together a fantastic little menu. The service was excellent and the food was real good. They offer boars head cold cuts and they understand the proper way to slice deli meats. I had an old classic that they reinvented. I tried the Monty Python that is their version of a Monte Cristo. It was an excellent sandwich and the touch of honey mustard that they used changed that sandwich completely. The ham was sliced perfectly and they added the right amount of Swiss cheese. The sandwich was grilled to perfection and the batter they used was excellent and they added just the right amount of powdered sugar. We also had the In Da Club on a Kaiser roll. The sandwich was made perfectly the just the way they made it. They were also willing to make your sandwich the way you would like it. This place is definitely worth the stop to eat in or just take it to go. Next Stop is less than 1/2 mile East of I-75 on corkscrew Rd. Get your gas and you sandwich and jump back on 75 and enjoy. read more
