We hired Zac to cater our wedding and while we were pleased with how the food turned out (it tasted…read moregreat and presentation was beautiful, not to mention the staff was polite and courteous), there were a few things left to be desired. After negotiating a menu and agreeing upon a set price per person, we were surprised to see items included the day of the wedding which we specifically asked not to have there because of the added cost. We were upfront with the price per person we expected to pay, however Zac pressured us to add .50 here, $1 there. The final balance, after it was all said and done, was significantly more than the estimate agreed on in the contract, and rather than address that before hand, we were hit with the bill at the end of the night. To top the experience off, the bride's mother asked to have 2 plates of leftovers set aside. This never happened. Instead, Zac left and didn't say a word. Also, he failed to mention that we would need a steak knife, and this guy was who provided the flatware and plates... We feel as if he was there to make his money, nothing more.

They answered all of our questions throughout the process and ensured our perfect dinner spread was achieved. We absolutely loved choosing several unique pizzas from their creative menu ... and all were 10/10 delicious! Our guests were raving about the food all night (special shoutout to the appetizers as well!) What I found the most meaningful about working with this company is that they really go above and beyond for their clients. When we asked about having an unconventional dessert that tied into our love story, they didn't even hesitate to say yes! Max worked with his baker to create a custom bread pudding for us and all of our guests, which turned out better than we could have imagined. They also took extreme care to ensure our gluten free / dairy free guests had the same top-notch experience as everyone else. One of our friends came up to us ecstatic that she got her own little pizza box, enjoying the same meal just safe for her allergies :) The whole planning process, communication, team assistance, presentation and service were truly unmatched. I highly recommend booking The Ugly Onion for your next event, especially if it's a wedding! We really loved having a fun and memorable dinner, and cutting a pizza rather than a cake was the BEST. Thank you to Max, Greta, Carley, and the whole team for being such an important part of our day and making the whole experience seamless. Truly wish we could do it all over again!

Everything from the ceremony to the dancing was easy and our company loved the indoor/outdoor set up.
