I can't say enough great things about Forage & Fire. We're from NJ but got married in Yellowstone and had an airbnb in gardiner. We wanted to make sure our family had a great meal after the ceremony and reached out to forage and fire. They were wonderful to work with. We planned the menu and they allowed swaps from different menus to create our dream one (my husband wanted the bison meatballs but I HAD to have the Burrata from a different menu, and they accommodated!) Jackson sent us wine recommendations and we were all prepped for our day. Jackson & Chef Javier arrived right on time and prepped our meal. The food and service were both phenomenal. We never had an empty drink or a dirty dish in front of us. The food far exceeded our expectations and the team left the kitchen cleaner than when we arrived. The elk strip made my parents a little anxious when they heard about it, but they spent the entire rest of the trip amazed at how wonderful it was. Chef answered questions about ingredients while cooking. They were gracious and lovely and we are so happy we picked them for our special day. read more

Wishing I could leave 0 stars here. They were hired to do a 3 day large event in Wyoming and overpromised and DID NOT deliver. They were completely understaffed, and became overwhelmed in the middle of the wedding. They literally stopped working and abandoned their job halfway through the second event day. They were impossible to reason with and had zero regard for our client's most important day. They left before late night bites service on the wedding day and did not show up for the brunch the following morning. They left the property in complete disarray, with trash everywhere. They never apologized and single handedly ruined the event. The food was not great, undercooked and they did not provide everything that was paid for. They were extremely unprofessional. I want to save anyone from ever hiring them and being let down like we were. Run for the hills! read more

We (party of 4) used Forage & Fire for a private chef dinner while visiting Big Sky. I was a little worried at first because of a couple things: one, there aren't many reviews about them and two, their prices are higher than some other private chefs I contacted. However, I will tell you that we had one of the best meals we have ever had (and I've been to some pretty fancy restaurants). F & F was super accommodating, allowing us to mix and match dishes from several different menus and work around dislikes. Our chef, Javier, showed up on time, did his thing, and cleaned the whole kitchen! Also, you get what you pay for. We had a huge meal (with leftovers) and every bite was fresh and amazing. read more

Our Dine in dinner with Forage & Fire was absolutely fantastic. We honestly could not have received a better experience and meal. Our Tomahawk steak was incredible and cooked to perfection along with the amazing mashed potatoes and delicious creamed corn. the appetizers, especially the Elk Tartar was to die for. Jackson was an incredible help setting up the menu for us and arranging the dinner for our friends. Highly recommend!!! Woul love to visit Big Sky again and would definitely use their services again. We booked Forage and Fire for my birthday dinner, two days after Thanksgiving. We had the most delicious, well- rounded meal. Although I never eat lamb, I devoured 3 pieces , as everything was cooked and presented beautifully. Our chef was punctual and professional and a 3 course meal was ready in 60 minutes. The kids ate all of their chicken piccata and linguini, leaving us none. Our friends who recommended them to us hired them for 5 days one of their previous vacations. Very expensive and over priced for what they deliver. They are nice but not that easy to work with and they charge top, top dollar for mediocre service and food. Would not recommend them. read more
