Was given a pint of Becks that was off; it smelt funny and the consistency was thick/syrupy. I reported this to the bar lady (a short girl with glasses & ginger hair) but just got a really rude response from her saying 'no one else has complained and there is nothing I can do'. I asked her to try the pint to see and she just said 'no, i dont drink Becks'. I asked to speak to the manager in the hope he had the authority to change the pint as I didn't fancy drinking a pint that could give me food poisoning yet while I was awaiting him to come the bar staff and the bouncer accused me of complaining to get a free drink? I wasn't seeking an additional drink or any compensation, I just wanted the exchange a pint that smelt off eggs for something else. The manager came and unfortunately he was just as rude as the bar staff. He shrugged his shoulder and said 'nothing I can do'. My friend asked him 'aslong as the money is in the till you don't care?' to which he actually agreed! I thought this was absolutely ridiculous! All the manager/bar staff had to do was smell it to see how disgusting it was. I just walked away, had a few sips of my pint and then just left it as I didn't want to get ill. I sincerely hope no one else receives a lack of customer service at this pub and more importantly, hope no one gets food poisoning from their beers. Even when a pint is off they won't even bother to change the pumps. read more
