We did not move forward with Events at Stone Park due solely to the behavior and response times of their Event Coordinator. I wish I had seen a review like this one before I got my hopes up. The space, the food, and the budget all worked for us. The only reason this is not 1 star is because it wouldn't be fair since we did not end up holding our event here. If you'd like to know all the in and out details here we go: I feel I gave the coordinator Barbara a lot of grace - this is an insane time for the restaurant and event industry and people in general - but ultimately I couldn't continue pursuing an event with her in charge. I reached out via email - no response for 10 days I followed up - she responded I reached out again - she didn't respond for 7 days I followed up again- she responded, apologized, gave me info, and said she'd get in touch with me again shortly with her availability for a meeting 2 weeks pass I follow up again - she responded with no acknowledgement of the time gap We schedule an in person walk through - she emailed saying she'd be a few minutes late. After 15 minutes I emailed her back letting her know we were waiting in front of the event space. After 30 minutes of waiting we knocked on the door of the restaurant space and there she was inside. No apology. It was baffling why she didn't look for us at the event space - we realized then that we had seen her walk by 15 minutes before, laptop in hand. Because it bears repeating I'll repeat - she never apologized. She only hurriedly said she left her phone in an uber and then rushed us through the meeting. It was obvious that she was not taking us seriously. She was patronizing. She seemed amused that I had brought a list of questions on my phone to ask. The only positive to give is that she knew something about the space. I came to the appointment happy to give it a chance (even if she was running a few minutes late), and I left angry and insulted. 3 days later she reaches out, apologizes lightly for being late, and asks if we have questions. 5 days later I email her for a sample contract as she had mentioned in our meeting. I've never heard from her since. We are now working with a different local place.

The staff was so easy to work with and were beyond accommodating when it came to customizing our event menu; not to mention went above and beyond to create special dishes for our guests with strict dietary restrictions. While most buildings in NYC are old, the Green Building represented a big part of Brooklyn's…read morehistory. It dates all the back to the 1800s, where it was the home to a number of industrial companies specializing in everything from water pipes to cement. The fact it's adjacent to the Gowanus Canal's waterway made it an attractive spot for businesses. After being the home of a brass foundry for nearly 60 years, it had undergone an extensive renovation in 2008 to become a special events venue that many know and love today. They managed to do all of this while still maintaining its iconic green exterior. Between then and now, it was a destination for Brooklyn weddings, corporate outings, and lots of fun special events. I enjoyed several visits here and was constantly impressed how the team here was able to make every different look so different from each other. Plus the venue staff that worked did a good job in making sure every gathering was a success. Fast forward to current times, the block and as well the surrounding buildings have been purchased by an investment group looking to create more residential spaces. Demolition has already began and is going as of the time of this review. While I can't fault a company for wanting to make some money, I am sad to see more history go by the wayside.

The green building's staff were so kind to our guests and our guests continued to compliment us for finding a beautiful and unique space. We had to move the ceremony due to inclement weather and it was a seamless transition. We had the pleasure of working with Bridget and then was gracefully handed off to Angelica after her departure. Angelica was wonderful to work with and filled in the gaps and answered questions we may have had. Our wedding coordinator and Angelica handled everything to make our day absolutely perfect. Choosing the Green Building was one of the best decisions we made!

It was easy to plan since they catered the food. I also bought extra food and alcohol to bring there and they had no problem with it. The ONLY issue i had was the lighting of the place. They had pinkish warm lighting and most of my pictures came out terrible because it wasn't bright enough. I did email previously and ask if we were able to make the place brighter and she said it was no problem. But the day of the party I was so busy hosting and attending to party goers that I didn't remind them to fix the lighting for me. I didn't think it would be that bad but looking back at pictures now, it's pretty bad. Group pictures are a bit blurry and our skin looks dark from the pink hue. I recommend hosting a party here but maybe ask them to fix the lighting and make it brighter, and turn off the pink hues

There was a very small number of bathrooms here, which didn't work with the number of people here, though I personally wasn't affected by this. There was also a lack of tables or other seating, but I presume this was to blame on Eater and not the venue. My main issue was the temperature. I'm not sure if there was a lack of flowing air, or due to how crowded it was, or something else, but it was hot inside and became more and more uncomfortable the more people that showed up. Of course, drinking didn't exactly help this either, but I had to leave early, and I saw some others leaving or sampling things outside, probably for the same reason.

As we pulled up in front of the place we were kindly greeted by a gentleman at the front door. The La Tablee NY Tasting is a celebration of over 100 wines of the Rhone Valley (Northen + Southern France) . The La Tablee NY Tasting was already in full swing as we checked in, placed our outerwear at the coat check and were each given a wine glass and wine tasting booklet. Before proceeding towards any wine/food tables, we glanced at the map indicating where each wine/food table was located. We went to each table, sampled things and marked it off in our booklet. There was space to write notes pertaining to specific wines that we liked. Because I enjoy the flavor of white wine and since there was fewer of those, I can safely say that every single white wine I had was my favorite-lol. Along with the wine tasting, there were delightful tasty treats to sample from restaurants/eateries including Atrium, Andante Dairy, Bar Boulud, Celestine and Frankies Spuntino. The Charcuterie platters (fresh cheeses, breads, crackers, fruit and meats) were so good. We tried Toscanna Aqua Penna for the first time (yes, I am very late-lol) and this bottled water is smooth + refreshing. Shout out to Columbe staffperson Ellie as she made the best Latte.... Bridge 26 boats wooden floors and high ceilings in which the natural sunlight radiates through the venue. There are bathrooms on the upper and lower levels and the downstairs bathroom has a connecting "powder room" so that brides, birthday boys/girls and eveyone in between can freshen up and get ready for their festivities. 375 people can be in the venue for standing events and a bit over 200 can fit there during seated events. The Bridge 26 website has a section in which you can send them an email to make general inquiries on booking this space. The La Tablee NY Tasting was fantastic and it was cool to attend it at 26 Bridge.

Weddings venues with a rustic Brooklyn feel would be perfect here. It a bit of a walk from the Train station, and there's not much parking other than street parking. Location wise it's good for the scenic views if you walk out to Brooklyn Bridge park to take pictures, and the cobble stoned streets in the area.

It was a no brainer; you get the best of all worlds here. A beautiful space complete with creative artwork, karaoke, surround sound speaker capabilities, karaoke, darts, a pool table, photo booth & a private restroom. I was sold! It was recommended to book in advance since the reservations get filled quickly. I was nervous about booking just a few weeks out from the desired date but hopeful. With no response from the venue's staff, almost 2 weeks before the event (having booked it a couple weeks before prior) I began to reach out to them for assistance since it was expressed on the website that no venue space is confirmed without response/deposit & confirmation. Customer service was less than supportive- emailing proved fruitless, calling wasn't helpful since they just told me to contact customer service via email & my only form of assistance came in harassing their instagram account who then would reach out and have customer service respond via email (which took days each time). I had to double request the reservation as I was told over the phone every excuse from their system was messed up for days & someone would reach out to I should resubmit to ensure my request was received. Long story short, the customer service was not on par with such a wonderful find and it was harder than it should've been to give them my money & to get my deposit back once it was all over. Overall, my party enjoyed the space. We had an amazing time. Everyone raved about discovering the space & wanting to book for themselves. We had to bring our own food and alcohol but it was worth it. Im hopeful that my review will reach the proper channels. Im confident that with a more seamless and friendly customer experience, social cues can be one of the best event spaces in NYC!
