The layout is cool and cozy. We split the sampler (brisket, ribs and pulled pork),the best part of the meal was the collard greens (take from that what you will). The corn bread was like apple pie or something, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't typical corn bread. It wasn't the best barbecue I've had, but not the worst. I dropped by after work to meet up with some friends to check this place out. I found the pulled pork to be juicy and tender but didn't have a lot of flavor to it. The portions were substantial though so at least I got my money's worth in quantity of food. They had birch beer in their soda fountain, which was kind of awesome. I wasn't particularly thrilled with the BBQ sauce choices, but in all fairness I am admittedly tough to please on that front. This is fabulous BBQ done right. The pulled pork was tender and delicious and I drenched it in their Sweet Whiskey sauce which I found to be dark and tangy. The mac and cheese was cheesy and creamy and came in its own little dish. The slaw was crispy and went great with the pulled pork. My husband had the brisket, which the manager agreed to give him both chopped and sliced. The chopped bits were almost burnt ends - just sublime. He used the House sauce, which he said was a perfect compliment to the brisket. His sides of baked beans and potato salad were homemade, with the baked beans just about perfect. Cornbread muffins came with both our meals and were crunchy on the outside but sweet and tender on the inside. The atmosphere was friendly and accommodating and the seating area was clean. We are in town for two more nights and are already thinking about going back again before we head home. If you like BBQ and are in Manassas, do yourself a favor and head to The Bone! read more

Our 1st time here and the food is amazing!!! My wife had the collard greens and she said they are hands down the best she has ever had! The corn muffins are to die for! I wanted to like The Bone, since I love BBQ and am always looking for places in NOVA to get my fix. Unfortunately The Bone just doesn't fit the bill. Sauces - Watery, ok flavor. With so many different types of sauces you would think at least one would be standout, but there was nothing as satisfying as a good vinegary NC sauce or a sweet and sticky KC sauce. Brisket - I was served cold, fatty, grey slices. Dousing them in various sauces did nothing. I ended up leaving the majority on the plate uneaten, which I don't think I've ever done at a BBQ restaturant. Pork - Dry, but at least it had flavor. Cornbread - Very tasty. Definitely the highlight of the meal. I judge a BBQ joint on it's meat and sauces. Neither were good, and the brisket was plain inedible. I would not go back. read more

Solid ribs, some of the best I've had in the area. Pulled pork was delicious and brisket was more than acceptable. Wasn't a fan of the Andouille sausage though, needed more grill time and just wasn't a good experience for me. Sides were tasty, good mac n cheese and sweet potato fries.
