I'm not sure what the most popular drinks are at this boba shop, but I went with their signature milk tea boba. What I got tasted like coffee. And I hate coffee. I ended up throwing away half the drink. I asked for 50% sugar, but it honestly tasted like they put in 150%. Way too sweet. I'm definitely not coming back. To the owner: please stop putting coffee in everything--especially when the coffee tastes bitter and low-quality. It's not good coffee. It's harsh and cheap-tasting, and mixing it with an overload of sugar just makes it worse. I'm giving 1 star because I can't give 0, and because the boba pearls were actually okay. I've been to this location a few times now, but I've only recently actually took the time to sit inside and I really enjoyed it. I think that I took a while to get my drinks, more than it does on the other location, but I did realize that they were quite busy so I'm not taking any stars off for that. The Bahn mi tuna sandwich is really good and I would definitely get that again, as is the taro and coconut smoothie with boba. We did not like the chocolate one that much but I think it's because it was so sweet and we didn't realize that we should have asked for a lot of sweetner. We have tried this location before. Their teas are good. Size of their cups are slightly larger than most other places I've been for tea, which is a plus. The tenderness of the boba is consistent. Usually this place is really really good. But tonight, something went really wrong. The shop had run out of boba which was fine. They are closing an hour early today for a group meeting which is also fine. Group meetings are a great idea for a business. But I get the same drink every single time (nothing crazy, just the shop's milk tea without boba), and tonight it tasted really, really off. Like inedible levels of off. I had my partner try it & he agreed that it tasted really funky and inedible. Is it maybe because I came so late? Typically I come in the early afternoon. Or maybe because they have a group meeting and are closing early today, so they were in a "senioritis" mode? Hmm... Well, typically the tea here is really good. I purchased the Mango tea with Mango Boba. The tea was really good, super sweet but still good. Customer service nice as well, the only problem was the boba..... I couldn't even swallow it because it was legit plastic. They'd pop in my mouth then leave a thick shell that either got stuck on my teeth, roof of my mouth or gums. Terrible! If I weren't already on the freeway, I would've turnt around to get a refund. Please fix that issue with bad boba asap.
