Anyways , Quiet , peaceful. .... Never had anything stolen ... only negative thing that's ever happened here was fighting with a psycho path on their kayak . They thought they owned the water . But other than that , it's an enjoyable place .

We're self-sufficient and didn't need help but it sure was nice of them to make the effort. The facility is in good shape and quite well protected. Staff and other boaters hung out for an hour or so on the patio. We picked up some good local knowledge as well as had a nice time. Cuba Landing Marina is a keeper.

This was my first visit, and I left feeling disappointed. From my perspective, there wasn't a convenient place to purchase food or fuel for our boat, which made planning for the day much more difficult than we expected. What saddened me the most, though, was the atmosphere. During our visit, I felt interactions with the owner were unwelcoming, and it seemed like several guests were spoken to in a way that didn't make anyone feel very appreciated. Kindness doesn't cost a thing, and a warm smile can make even a busy day so much better. We were also hoping to enjoy the Fourth of July festivities, but from where we were, we couldn't see the contest very well or hear what was happening. It took away from what should have been a fun community celebration. I truly believe every business has difficult days, and I always try to give grace because we never know what someone else may be carrying. At the same time, every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect. I sincerely hope things improve because this could be such a wonderful place for families to gather and make memories. For me, though, the overall experience wasn't one I'd choose to repeat, and I don't think I'll be returning. My hope in sharing this isn't to tear anyone down it's simply to help others know what my experience was and to remind us all that kindness is one of the greatest things we can offer each other. It lasts much longer than fireworks ever will.

We had the Fried Jalapeño Shrimp as an appetizer and they were very good. Miss Joy got the Happy Hour Special $7.00 Cheeseburger, and there's only 1 in 100 miles that comes close to it! It is truly a trailer park. 3rd of all, the website indicates hiking trails...there are NO HIKING TRAILS in the campgrounds. We were told 2 miles up the road there is a trail...we didn't go. 4th thing, the campsites are so close together. No real privacy. 5th thing, the single stall shower in the bathhouse is smaller than the showers on most RVs. And lastly, the permanent residents get the best sites. the sites are definitely not worth $80/night. There is a highlight of the stay. The lady that works in the Pearl museum was very knowledgeable on the Pearl farm. She was so nice to thoroughly explain the background and the history of the farm.
