My family and I tried this ice cream shop for the first time since it was very close to the house we stayed at for the week. I love that there are rentals there but that they also have an ice cream window. Tons of flavors to choose from, and even a few vegan options, which I love! There was a line when we got there but we were in and out in about 10 minutes. My dad got moose tracks, I got the vegan "oatmazing" chocolate chunk, and my mom got vanilla peanut butter. My ice cream was so good, I love oatmilk ice cream. I saw a sign by the window saying to be patient because it's a lot of teenagers first jobs, which I appreciated. Working in foodservice is tough, especially in a touristy beach town where people are so entitled to quick service. I recommend you come here and give people grace if things aren't as fast as you'd like. Again, we were in and out in 10 minutes with a line. Super friendly place that we visit almost daily when we're in LBI. Offers both soft serve and hard scooped ice cream in a bunch of flavors and available toppings. Also has a general store selection of beach merchandise (pails, shovels, etc) along with their rentals. We visited here again, on our yearly pilgrimage to LBI. Went for ice cream and shakes three out of four nights we stayed. Wow, do these young kids who work there, work really hard, and are so nice and service oriented. They have a great group working there. It was so very busy every night. The ice cream here is great! One star is being kind. I ordered and paid for myself, wife, and daughter. We stood there with masks on as we ordered and waited for our order An older gentleman working behind the scenes was not wearing a mask. He scrambled to put it on when my daughter (who has extreme anxiety issues) let us know he wasn't wearing one. We had to leave immediately and throw away the ice cream about 10 seconds later. I went back to kindly ask for a refund, but he started yelling at me about not giving me a refund. Completely rude. He continued to tell me how he was 6ft apart from everyone, and it was only for a minute or two. Guess what--it only takes 1 second to spread germs during this pandemic. If you require everyone to wear a mask, there should be no exceptions. Even the teenager working the register agreed with me that it wasn't safe. If you want to take off your mask, go outside and away from people, but not in front of employees or customers. Needless to say, I will never visit this establishment again. I recently rented some bikes here. I wanted to return them early, and when I stopped by to ask if I could receive a partial refund if I did, I was told yes. So I changed up my plans for the night to include returning the bikes, but when I came back the owner told me I wasn't eligible for a refund. I explained to her that her employee had already promised me a refund, and the employee herself admitted to the owner that she told me I would get a refund. Whenever visiting LBI this is my favorite ice cream place to hit. Very customer is important to every employee. They make sure everything is just right. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was because of the wait they had inside and outside they were slow to get to us and slow with the ice cream. This ice cream stop has landed itself a permanent place on the "LBI To-Do List". The service was great, and the ice cream was even better. The line is long at times, but if you stay on line you won't be disappointed! We stayed walking distance from it (corner of Bay Ave and Kentford ave) which was even better. Great Prices, too! My only complaint would be the whipped cream, which tasted aerosol can-y, but I'm not one to judge by taste of whipped cream. My family also decided we wanted to rent a four person bike (surrey) for the hour. Was a little pricey, yet worth it. The bicycle was in perfect condition, didn't squeak or have any rust.
