An ice cream chain I can certainly get behind and support! They have vegan options and their selection is pretty decent, including some staples like chocolate and vanilla, but very tasty. It's worth a try if you've never had. There's wooden picnic tables outside with umbrellas if you bring the family or your friends with you to get something cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. read more

Great selection of ice cream, Italian ice, vegan ice cream and sugar free ice cream. We had the vegan Oreo smash, regular Ghirardelli and sugar free salted caramel. All were really good! read more

Good quality ice cream, line went by quick. One of the workers made the most perfect scoop I've ever seen. Great outdoor seating as well. Milkshake was delicious! read more

Best ice cream on LBI - and I'm confident in saying that. (Rita's doesn't count, that is a whole other category of frozen dessert). I'm all in on the cookies and cream here. Rarely do you find a C&C that is MORE cookies than it is cream, and it is somehow balanced just right. Honorable mentions to the chocolate peanut butter and mint chip, also amazing flavors...and there are plenty more to try. I could end the review here - get the hard ice cream, and even if you go off script you'll be happy with whatever you get. You could ALSO get the banana thing or the ice cream nachos...probably best shared with someone since they are pretty massive. Just know that during peak season there will probably be a wait if you go after dinner. The line may be intimidating, but it moves fast. There are plenty of benches and tables outside if you want to hang out and eat, and some games to play as well. Parking is limited...but you'll definitely find something within a block. read more

Cute outdoor tables to eat homemade Ice-cream in creative and traditional flavors. My favorite?? Salted caramel. But vegan coconut chip also a surprise hit. My husband loved their creamsicle ice cream. we liked it very much so much we came back two days in a row. read more

Place was great. They make their ice cream right there. milkshakes were big and really good.

Nice selection of home made flavors. The coffee and mint chip could have been a little richer in flavor. Nice creamy consistency. Good outside seating with lawn games. read more

I saw my favorite flavor pistachio and had to try it. Unfortunately, it tasted like straight up chlorine chemicals. Way too much artificial flavoring/coloring. My girlfriend had the butter pecan and it was fine, but nothing spectacular. There are too many other ice cream locations in the area for this place to be mediocre. read more

Service was 5 stars - We arrived about an hour prior to closing- there were 10 or 15 customers in front of us. The staff were attentive and friendly to each customer as they built their forearms scooping hard ice cream. The Ghirardelli Chocolate ice cream is FANTASTIC! The store was clean, and the young people slinging ice cream made it a pleasant place to be. read more

went here with my parents as part of our long beach vacation on Saturday June 8th 2024. We were driving around long beach, and came across this ice cream place. There is side parking and we parked there. It was also quite busy, as there were people waiting, but the line did move fast. They have lots of homemade flavors to choose from. The person who helped us was so nice. I ordered 2 scoops: Cinnamon toast crunch on the bottom, and cotton candy on top in a medium cup. Girl who took care of us, even asked if it mattered which one was on top, i chose the cotton candy to be on top. There are also tons of topping to choose from, i chose gummy bears. My dad ordered 2 scoops of chocolate peanut butter cup in a medium cup. There are tables and chairs, and benches outside where one can eat their ice cream.paid via cash and left a tip. Sat down and enjoyed the ice cream. The Cotton candy was really sweet, and enjoyable, and i enjoyed the cinnamon toast crunch flavor as well. love the cereal too.(and it tastes just like the cereal. ) We both enjoyed our ice cream and it hit the sweet spot. highly recommend this location! Would come again if we are in the area! read more

You cannot go wrong with homemade ice cream! They switch up the menu and have other options other than ice cream. They also provide vegan options. I got Nilla Banana - which is the vanilla wafer cookie and banana ice cream. It was yummy. Service is fast. Scoops are large. We walked but it looked like they have street parking. A cute place that you can't go wrong at, they have plenty of flavors and toppings for all. :) read more

The best cookies and cream ice cream I've ever had.. but far! Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Been coming to LBI for many decades, I don't get the hype. It was fine but not at ALL worth the 30+ minute wait that was had. There were others in my party of 12 that felt similarly, I've had better store bought ice cream if I'm honest. read more

This is by far the best ice cream in LBI! My favorite is cookies and cream and chocolate peanut butter, my husband loves the butter pecan and salted caramel flavors. I also love that they offer pints to take home! Lovely staff as well. Great spot and can't wait to go back next year. read more

My new favorite Ice Cream on LBI. My discerning grandkids were raving about the quality and taste of their selections. I joined them with a scrumptious chocolate banana flavor of the day. Tried a flight; six hearty scoops of 6 different flavors... Every flavor was absolutely amazing! Trying to narrow the choices down was tough but the young man was quite patient. Amazing homemade ice cream! Kind employees who are very helpful. The building was clean and everything was great! Thank you! Great spot in LBI. read more

Firstly their ice cream is top notch, very clearly a labor of love! They are closed on Tuesdays because that's the day they make the ice cream, which after tasting their Cinnamon Toast Crunch recreation, by all means take the time you need to craft these amazing flavors! The staff at Ship Bottom Ice Cream (18th street) was super friendly, gave us some great recommendations, and were even generous with the toppings which made the kids super happy (it's the little things in life...). Inside, the building was spacious, super clean and very well kept, while outside is equally clean and well put together with plenty of seating and even corn hole to keep the fun going! If you go, get the Milky Bun (a scoop of ice cream pressed into a warm donut), trust me it's unreal! We will definitely be back, as often as possible! read more

Man oh man was this GOOD! First off, what a cool and interesting building and location. The vibe of the place is awesome with the lighting on the outside. The look of the place made us want to try it out. The staff working was so kind and helpful, and even offered us recommendations and their personal favorites. I had the creamsicle which was TREMENDOUS! The shop is spotless and clean, as well, and the prices were fair for such amazing ice cream. We will be visiting any time we are on the island. Loved it! Highly-recommended! read more

Brand new ice cream spot on the island and it was terrific. The strawberry shortcake ice cream was very good and highly recommended. They have a great assortment. The chocolate banana moon pie and cotton candy also exceeded expectations. The only knock I would have is the milkshake was a little loose and while I asked for vanilla bean it tasted like it had marshmallow in it, still good nonetheless! read more

Wanted to try the new homemade ice cream store in Ship Bottom. Arrived 9:02 PM and was told that they close @ 9:00 PM and turned away. Hmmm...this is new business and you would think they would want to get as much business in a short season or at least get new customers. Guess not - not a loss as went to the best on the Island - The Big Dipper! BTW - Dipper is open to 10:00PM and always serves the last in line. Now that's good business sense.... read more

The house we rented in Ship Bottom was not even a block from this amazing new ice cream shop. We visited three times in the week! The service received was spectacular, the variety of flavors were plentiful and the cost was on average with the local ice cream shop we typically visit in the Philly burbs. The Ghirardelli chocolate was my absolute favorite flavor. I had it mixed with strawberry once, with coffee once and with salted caramel. My husband loved the chocolate peanut butter and the cookies and cream flavors. The shop makes a variety of sundaes and has lots of different toppings as well as three types of cones. The decor is very clean and modern looking and there is a small outdoor seating area out front in what may have been the parking lot. We will definitely return the next time we are in town. read more

Their party cake flavor tastes exactly like funfetti cake batter. Enough said! Lots of other delicious flavors to choose from including two vegan flavors. Great prices and portion sizes too! read more

Oh my god! We found our new favorite ice cream place in LBI! The texture is creamy and perfect! The serving size is HUGE! I got a two-scoop (regular), and you can see how big it was. A delightfully delicious addition to Ship Bottom! This little ice cream shop has brought life back to a building that sat vacant for years! The long line moved very quickly thanks to a team of polite young scoopers. The decor is simple but cute with the notable ice cream lamps. Welcoming picnic tables in front made plentiful seating. And-- the ice cream was delicious. I had soft serve vanilla which was very creamy. Others in my group migrated toward the homemade strawberry cheesecake hard ice cream, which one went to so far as to say it was the best he'd ever had. Sprinkles cost a dollar extra, so we passed on those, that would be my only negative. Cash is preferred to save you the 3% credit card fee. Overall, great ice cream shop that will surely give others on the island competition! read more

Great ice cream and super nice owners! We have a food allergy and they were able to accommodate without hassle.

We were told by locals to try this new ice cream shop while on vacation, so we did. The place is cute and well run. Ice cream is good. I am a peanut butter fanatic so I couldn't wait to try their chocolate peanut butter. I was disappointed because it isn't a chocolate with actual peanut butter swirled through it...it is chocolate ice cream with actual peanuts in it. Didn't have the peanut buttery taste I was hoping for. Oh well, I won't order this one again but the other flavors my husband and kids got like coffee were nice! read more
