My ice cream was so good, I love oatmilk ice cream. I saw a sign by the window saying to be patient because it's a lot of teenagers first jobs, which I appreciated. Working in foodservice is tough, especially in a touristy beach town where people are so entitled to quick service. I recommend you come here and give people grace if things aren't as fast as you'd like. Again, we were in and out in 10 minutes with a line. We would absolutely come here again to try more yummy flavors and recommend that you do the same if you are near Holgate!

Asbury Pedalcycle - I am a fan!…read more This is a very cool and different activity to do in Asbury Park. Especially if you are with a crew who doesn't want to spend the entire day lounging on the beach. The bike is large and can fit around 15 or 16 peeps. If you have a big crew you can rent out the entire bike - perfect for a birthday party or group outing. The tour is 2 hours - the bike makes three thirty minute stops at various bars around town and you spend thirty minutes riding. Drinking is not permitted on the bike but you are able to drink at every stop! You also get a wristband that gives you access to various special at the bar. We stopped at Porta, Langosta and Anchors Bend. Even without drinking on the bike (NJ is lame) being on the bike is the best part. Our group had so much fun pedaling and rocking out to music. Plus, every single person on the streets of Asbury will wave at you and it is hilarious. The owner Jesse is the man. Such a great tour guide and is passionate about his business and making sure that people have a great time. Highly suggest taking a pedalcycle tour around AP - if you like biking and drinking you'll enjoy it!

I live in a senior community in the Toms River area and have been riding down here for the last 10 years. Within a few weeks I got a flat back tire and have to return the Shore Brake Cyclery to have it repaired by Charlie. He made sure that there was nothing wrong with the tire and replaced the tube with a FREE new one. Then last week while riding on the roads around my community I picked up a small staple in the back tire. So once again down the GSP to LBI to get the tire repaired. This time Catherine took the back wheel off my bike's car carrier and proceeded to repair the tire for a second time. Once again NO charge. This bike shop is a family run business where the employees are all very helpful and friendly. It's easy to get overcharged…read morepretty much everywhere on LBI and I joke about LBI pricing in a lot of my reviews, but Acme was different. We generally stop in here before we even check in at our rental to pick up our foodstuffs for the week...you know, the stuff you just need to have around for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Acme has a great selection and better prices than some of the other places on the island. You can also do bike rentals here...which is pretty cool. Anyway, as long as we're renting on the island things always going to be one of our first stops.
