I found this on both Google Maps and TripAdvisor and it looked delicious. I decided to come here for my last meal in Majorca based on the photos, and dropped in about 5:30. The staff informed me that they were closed and would reopen at 6:15. I came back at that time, and I was able to get seated inside, likely because I was just one person. From what I read, it is a highly popular restaurant and reservations are highly recommended. I think sitting outside would have been lovely, but inside had AC and I was grateful to get a spot.
There were many items on the menu that intrigued me, but I ended up settling on the seafood paella and a green salad per my waiter (owner?) recommendation. However, the pulpo, grilled shrimp and fish looked amazing in photos and I think I would have enjoyed that more. The paella was good, but I won't dream of it. That being said, don't take my word for it - I have not been impressed by paella in Majorca yet. I did, however, really appreciate that I was able to get this dish for one as many places require a 2 person minimum for the order. I also finished with the banoffee in a cup - YUM!!! It was crumbled cookies, banana pieces, and dulce de leche with whipped cream. Kind of like a smashed up toffee banana cream pie. 5 euros - highly recommend! I was told that it is a specialty of the area (not sure that's true - google says it's British, but anyway, still worth getting as my other dessert of interest was a passion fruit mousse and I get plenty of passion fruit back home).
The room got pretty warm and smoky but I think that's because of the hustle and bustle of the kitchen, as well as the pizzas they were baking. From that, I would say the pizzas might be a really great choice! I would have loved to come with more people to try more items, but alas, that was not an option for me. There are many choices in Alcudia, but I'm glad I chose this spot as my last Majorcan meal. read more
