I loved that it's located right on the beach, rather than the street a block down It reminded me of the lounges in Bali where you have the option of either eating in a restaurant-style atmosphere, or lounging on the deck while people bring you delicious food and cocktails. Although the chef has a Michelin star, prices were quite reasonable. I had a few glasses of their tasty Mallorcan white wine. I started off with a bread basket and olives. The olives were amazing, not too salty or overpowering. The bread, though not free, was very good, and it came with a red pepper puree and an aioli. The fact that they gave me a true aioli rather than just a garlic-flavored mayonnaise let me know that this was a quality restaurant with integrity. For my meal, I had some grilled vegetables with black truffle and a beetroot risotto with Mallorcan cheese and candied nuts. The vegetables had good flavor, but it would have been much better if they hadn't included endives and fennel, which were overpowering and bitter. The beet risotto was very good and had just the right amount of very strong cheese on it. The portion was quite large, and I could have easily shared it. For dessert, at the server's request, I had their daily special, a spongecake with some kind of granita-type ice on it. It wasn't bad, but I wish I'd gone for the goat cheese ice cream instead. Service was excellent. Overall, Royal Beach is a wonderful choice if you're in the Alcudia/Playa de Muro area.

It's typically packed full of locals with a couple of tourists squeezed in. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They have a healthy mix of traditional Spanish and more modern options. The restaurant is located right on the boardwalk and looks very nice inside and out with all of the lights. There are tables inside and outside on the patio. There was a guitar player/singer performing at the time of our visit; very entertaining. We tried several items including the beef pasta, two different pizza, and a caprese salad. All of the items were fresh and tasted delicious. They also had a good selection of Spanish beers and wines. Regarding the service, it was very good. If we ever return to Alcudia, we will certainly visit again.
