New ropes course!
Michelle M.

My company hosts a work party here every year and I've always had a blast! As an adult, playing all the nostalgic games is so fun. I like the gigantic Pac Man and Galaga. The bumper cars are small but surprisingly joyous! Classics remind me of my childhood days at Chuck-E-Cheese. The outdoor ropes course is really fun, I loved flying through the air! There's a mini golf course, bowling, and laser tag too. The movie theatre has always been good sound and good video. The staff let's us set up early and is super helpful with food and prep. I'd recommend using them for an event if you want something fun.

Great place for the kids. Even better for the kid in you. It was very spacious and not too loud. For an arcade it was very clean. The workers were friendly and very courteous towards the children. It was a nice experience.

So, limited options, but I would recommend going even if it's a movie you've already seen. It's an experience. The building is old and visiting the theater is honestly like stepping back in time. It was built in the 1930's. You buy your tickets at the small window outside (with cash!) and enter into the one-room theater. OK, everything is dated, and not fancy like the mega-plex theater you are used to, but it is soooo cool! We go to see a movie here almost every time we visit Tryon and my kids think it is a real treat. The concession stand in behind the theater seating, so if you need to get up for a snack you can keep watching the movie, that's cool. The bathrooms are teeny-tiny, which is kind of neat, and has never been a problem with long lines. This past week we saw the Lego Movie. Which came out in regular theaters around December maybe? So it takes a few months for movies to get here. Despite that they still charge $8 a ticket, which seems a bit steep for a movie that has been out so long, but I figure the cost of operating this place in a small town must be pretty high, so I'm ok with that. Overall, cool, cool theater. If you are in the area I highly recommend it.

Before, there was only stadium seating, but now there are recliner options so pay attention to the fine print if you prefer the recliners when picking your time. Our visit was overall pleasant. Although we had recliners, the foot part for mine didn't go up all the way straight. My husband's appeared the same so I don't think it was just mine. The chairs were otherwise comfortable. The seats have a tray table attached for snacks or food that swing around in front of you. I'm excited for the new updates!

My nephew in law, my nieces' husband did not want to see Avatar in 3D 4DX. I was asked to use his ticket, that I never said I would, then he decided that he would go. Long story short I was purchased a ticket, he ended up still not going, and his daughter got the his ticket. They have done a lot of renovations and have stepped their game up. No waiting in line to buy tickets(it's digital and online), tables and chairs, as well as tall tables with stool type chairs. It was clean at 10:30 Saturday morning and so were the rest rooms. The seats inside the theater we were in reclined. The 4 DX was another matter, there was water coming out of the seat in front of me, I could feel the air from the bullets and arrows. No falling asleep in the 4DX, that seat was rocking and throwing us backward, forward and side to side. It was an experience, that I thoroughly enjoyed, and the movie was 3 hours,15 minutes long and fantabulous. A fun time was had by all, my niece and I and two of her adult children. I'm thankful for the trickery and a free movie ticket!! As usual it's always good to spend time with FAMILY.
