Ask to have a quote for two trees and I spoke Spanish just in case my broken English was not good enough to make things better and clear . So I got a quote for 800 dollars . So we schedule a appointment everything good . They came not a very clean workers plus not very careful they damage other plants around the tree and I have to let them know that they need to clean and remove debris from my other plants . They didn't clean up well plus they didn't cut the small tree supposedly he quote me for one tree not two ‍so I feel so mad about not having a written out invoice the time with meet read more

I called and had them come take a look I explained in detail, the soil, insect and weed issues I currently have a very large yard. Also explain to him I wanted to do it area by area he was very eager to start working and totally agreed with everything I said. They came back dug up a 5 foot area and re-distributed the soil without removing rocks, dead weeds nor did they add any type of amendment or fertilizer. He then trimmed two branches from my lemon tree as a favor for all of that he charge $600. Perhaps they only know about tree trimming however he basically lied, overcharged me. read more

The Best Tree Care Service has worked at my house and a few of the other houses I take care of. They do a great job - on time, quick, thorough, and great prices. Juan is easy to communicate with and he gets right back to me about any issues. My last place really needed a complete cleaning - tree removal and clearing up the yard - it was a mess. They did a great job and it was all done in one day. I recommend them and will use them again in the future. There are some before and after shots of their work. I think it speaks for itself. read more

Juan and his crew did a great job with two medium sized trees. He took the time to come out and give us a free estimate and it was clear right away that he was very knowledgeable. They were able to balance and thin a leaning tree. It looks very nice now. The work was done quickly and they cleaned up the area nicely. I'll be calling them in next year for maintenance. His quote was the lowest of three I obtained and he was the only one who came in person. My only advice to potential customers is to be patient and flexible as they can get busy during peak times of the year and they may need to shuffle their schedule. Thanks Juan. read more

I couldn't be happier with Juan and his hard working crew of workers. They dealt with a steep hillside cleanup of a very large eucalyptus and a giant agave in ninety degree heat with smiles on their faces. When they left the property it was clean as a whistle. I would recommend them to handle any of your trimming needs. :) Don-Laurel Canyon read more

Didn't hire these guys but watched them work on two of my neighbors yards. On time, quick, and careful. Good crew, nice, and friendly. Why didn't I use them? Well I obtained a cheaper quote. They were competitively priced. I was all set to hire and then tried one more local guy an he beat the price. Money is money! These folks are good though. Hire them! read more

Crazy windstorm snapped the wood stakes for our new trees causing them to nearly break in half. Reached out via Yelp and received an immediate response from Juan...on a Sunday no less! Agreed on a fair price and Juan sent his crew out the very next morning to re-stake and secure our trees. Highly recommend and will be using them in the future for tree trimming and upkeep. read more

Juan and his team were remarkable. I had a very tricky and dangerous situation with a tree growing into my gas line. I also had a very large tree that was dying that needed to be removed as well. Juan was very knowledgeable about not only trees but how to troubleshoot and take care of this problem. He advised me on contacting the gas company to do the work they needed to do so that Juan's team could get in and do their work. I really appreciated his attention to safety for both my household and his guys. No other company who gave me a quote even mentioned this. In fact, they came up with some ridiculous solutions where I was involved with doing some of the tree removal work. What!? On the day of, he consulted with the gas company who were not quite sure how to take care of their part, but Juan advised them how. Just a few hours later, both trees were down and they cleaned up very well. They also removed the stumps. I think it's so unattractive for a tree to be removed and the stump left. The end result was that it looked like there was never a tree in either location. Amazing job. Highly recommend. read more

We had a large overgrown tree that was damaging our gate and about to lift concrete. It was a beautiful tree but we had to have it removed. My husband was diligent about getting multiple quotes and we landed with Juan and his team. Their price reasonable and they were very responsive. The tree roots were more extensive than we realized. We found some roots the following morning that we had concern about and Juan immediately sent the team back without question that morning. We will use them again ! read more

Truly excellent service. Responded quickly, met in person and got an immediate quote. The service was expertly completed on the next business day and right on time. The tree was expertly trimmed and that was the only evidence they had even been there as they cleaned my yard and the neighbors yard completely. Juan is also a really nice guy. I would not hesitate to use his team again (and I plan to when our pine is ready for trimming). Thanks! read more

These guys are great and a wonderful value. I recently purchase a home in Van Nuys and did some remodeling. During the remodel I let the yard go and it became overgrown and full of weeds. I also needed a tree trimmed near a power line since it was very close. Juan came and gave me a quote and brought his guys over a few days later to do the work. I've used Juan and his guys for two jobs now. My wife and I just moved into a new house and the backyard was full of cypress, brush, yucca, ficus, you name it. This is the third time we've use Juan and Best Tree Care Service for tree trimming at our home and rental home. I've referred them to other neighbors and family, too. Juan is very knowledgeable about the trees and plants, including the care for oak trees, which gave me confidence in this company. While not the least expensive, they are professional, informed, careful, and thorough. The yard was left clean afterwards and the follow-up calls and visits helped assure the work was done to our satisfaction. I'd definitely recommend Best Tree Care Service. read more

FYI MAKE SURE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT OR HAVE AN AGREEMENT! My husband originally contacted Juan regarding a tree that was already cut but need to kill the roots because they were damaging our property and sprouting all throughout our front yrd. Juan came to my house and gave my husband a 600$ quote for the entire project and gave a verbal guarantee that we will not see any sprouting since he killed the roots at the core. When he and his guy came out to actually do it, not only did they break my sprinkle system, they destroyed my yard. Juan had the nerve to ask me for $200 more cus he said it was more work than he thought, he probably thought he could take advantage since I was home alone and as a women I wouldn't know better. He literally "completed" the entire job within 1 hr of which he spent destroying my front yard. He asked for cash then had the decency to ask me for a tip. Since I gave him cash he told me that you would go down 100 making it 700$. A few days later we noticed more sprouting than before. Not only did we have to pay someone more money to fix the sprinkle system but we had to bring someone to continue to pull the rest of roots out. My husband contacted him since we had a guarantee and claimed he had Covid, so had decent humans we totally understood and asked when he's better to get someone out here to fix it. After a month of waiting, my husband attempts to contact him and he's not picking up, after finally reaching him he says he will refund 150$ so that we don't write a negative review and will come and finish the rest of the work. The day he was going to come he never showed up. He also mentioned how we never had an official contract. He blocked my husbands number and when my husband called him with my phone he picked up then hung up when he found out it's him. Juan is a shady guy that takes advantage of people. I would not recommend doing any business with him. read more

Competitive pricing! They did a great job on my palm trees .

Juan Monarez was right on time to give us an estimate. He took time to understand my needs (practical and aesthetic), using a laser light to confirm precisely which branches had to come down. The price was competitive and they were able to do the work on a tight schedule (tree trimming in time for a fire insurance compliance deadline). Juan was also there during all of the work, to be sure there was no disconnect between scope of work promised and delivered. They arrived on time, were clean, safe, and careful to protect my plants, roof, and deck furniture. They were also respectful of me, my neighbors, and even drivers that passed by (near the chipper truck). I'm likely to use them again on future projects. read more

Had a 50-foot Eucalyptus tree that died in the parkway in front of my house. Had several bids through yelp, but all the companies with lower bids did not have insurance or a license. Normally, I wouldn't have minded, but the tree roots were abutting a gas line, so I could not take the risk of having a non-insured company damage the line if they made a mistake. The estimate was for one day, but it ended up being a two day job. Juan was great and worked with me on the price. Would use again. Only issue is that they told me they would be at my house at 10 and didn't show up until noon. Could have used a proactive text message, but not a big deal. read more
