Ask to have a quote for two trees and I spoke Spanish just in case my broken English was not good enough to make things better and clear . So I got a quote for 800 dollars . So we schedule a appointment everything good . They came not a very clean workers plus not very careful they damage other plants around the tree and I have to let them know that they need to clean and remove debris from my other plants . I called and had them come take a look I explained in detail, the soil, insect and weed issues I currently have a very large yard. Also explain to him I wanted to do it area by area he was very eager to start working and totally agreed with everything I said. They came back dug up a 5 foot area and re-distributed the soil without removing rocks, dead weeds nor did they add any type of amendment or fertilizer. Juan and his crew did a great job with two medium sized trees. He took the time to come out and give us a free estimate and it was clear right away that he was very knowledgeable. They were able to balance and thin a leaning tree. It looks very nice now. The work was done quickly and they cleaned up the area nicely. I'll be calling them in next year for maintenance. Juan was very knowledgeable about not only trees but how to troubleshoot and take care of this problem. FYI MAKE SURE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT OR HAVE AN AGREEMENT! My husband originally contacted Juan regarding a tree that was already cut but need to kill the roots because they were damaging our property and sprouting all throughout our front yrd. Juan came to my house and gave my husband a 600$ quote for the entire project and gave a verbal guarantee that we will not see any sprouting since he killed the roots at the core. When he and his guy came out to actually do it, not only did they break my sprinkle system, they destroyed my yard. Juan had the nerve to ask me for $200 more cus he said it was more work than he thought, he probably thought he could take advantage since I was home alone and as a women I wouldn't know better. He literally "completed" the entire job within 1 hr of which he spent destroying my front yard. He asked for cash then had the decency to ask me for a tip. Since I gave him cash he told me that you would go down 100 making it 700$. A few days later we noticed more sprouting than before. Not only did we have to pay someone more money to fix the sprinkle system but we had to bring someone to continue to pull the rest of roots out. My husband contacted him since we had a guarantee and claimed he had Covid, so had decent humans we totally understood and asked when he's better to get someone out here to fix it. After a month of waiting, my husband attempts to contact him and he's not picking up, after finally reaching him he says he will refund 150$ so that we don't write a negative review and will come and finish the rest of the work. The day he was going to come he never showed up. He also mentioned how we never had an official contract. He blocked my husbands number and when my husband called him with my phone he picked up then hung up when he found out it's him. Juan is a shady guy that takes advantage of people.
