It was everywhere, in all the nooks and crannies. The car was basically un drivable and we needed it on Monday. In a panic we called several places and no one was able to help us out on such short notice until I called The Chemical Guys. Daniel said he'd be at our house at 9am on Saturday. When he showed up promptly I explained our predicament and he reassured me he'd take care of the mess. 6 hours later the interior was cleaner than it had ever been with no weird chemical smell from the powder.

I…read moreselected the full interior and exterior detail package for over $550, and when I arrived to pick up my car, it didn't look any better than if it had just been washed and vacuumed at a regular car wash. I felt bad asking the gal at the front desk if she wouldn't mind having the detailers go over a few more areas so it would look a little better, and she was kind enough to do so -- but it was still subpar. I didn't want to make too big of a deal about the situation, so I left. However, when I pulled over into a parking lot to look over the "details" on my car, I noticed many more things that weren't clean. Several areas hadn't been vacuumed, the tops and edges of the windows were still dirty, the wheel wells and side rails hadn't been touched, and the cover for my cup holder had some kind of dirt or dried cleaner all over the wood (which wasn't there before I dropped it off). The paint still had a rough finish -- they were supposed to clay bar it, but I don't think that happened, because whenever I clay bar my car it's perfectly smooth afterward. Even worse, they had sprayed so much water into my center console that there were puddles throughout the entire compartment, including on the battery at the bottom. Whatever solution they used on my interior dash caused a permanent defect on the plastic surrounding my gear shift. I did not receive a full detail by any stretch -- and in some cases, my car was worse than when I dropped it off. I rarely leave reviews, let alone negative ones, but I tried contacting David via phone and email 5-6 times and never heard back from him. He had one of his employees call me to leave a message, but even after I specifically asked several times for him to contact me personally, he never did. In my messages, I asked for a partial refund (as that seemed fair given the situation), but he never responded to that request either. His employee eventually left a message saying I could bring my car back and they would detail it again, but after this experience, I'm not comfortable leaving my car there. I wish David had cared enough to contact me directly -- ignoring my voicemails and emails is just bad business, in my opinion.

Chatting with them via email was seamless - they were kind and responsive. Sam arrived right on time at our home and was very professional. They spent 3 1/2 hours on each car, and it was so nice to have them conveniently in our driveway while we were working from home. I couldn't believe they stayed for over 6 hours and the experience was just so easy. My husband and I were very impressed with how new our cars felt and smelled. Simply, they did an amazing job! We've done other detailing services that didn't put nearly as much effort as these guys did. We're definitely going to use their services again.

Our street parking is right under two beautiful flowering plum trees, which is great most of the time, just not so much in pollen season. Add to that the lack of convenient car washes in west Seattle and my car was looking a mess. Just about covered in pollen/moss - I dont even know. Gross. I looked on some local social media pages and Big's was recommended by a few people and I was really drawn to the mobile aspect of their service. Their interior/exterior package seemed a reasonable and comparable price to other detailing services in the area so I booked on their website and was able to get an appointment a few days later. There are some add on extras you can choose so I also opted to pay an additional $9 for extra moss removal because I think that's an understatement the way my car looked. The person scheduled to perform the detail sent me a text the morning of that he misjudged traffic and would be about an hour past the scheduled time. I appreciated the heads up, and since I didn't need the car, it wasn't an issue. He was nice and friendly, and seemed efficient at doing the job. He arrived at 10am and was done around 4pm. I will say that there was a moment of confusion when I did, essentially, the final walk through inspection when he was finishing up and I asked if he did the wax as the car was clearly clean but not that super wax shine and he hadn't and asked if I wanted the ceramic coating (because wax was harder to do and it didn't seem like he could or wanted to do wax). I did say yes please I would and I feel like if I didn't ask about it that he wouldn't have done it, even though it's listed in the services of the package. Everything else looks great and I'm happy with the service. They send out a confirmation text when the appointment is booked saying you can reply to the message with questions and I did reply asking if I needed to provide a hose and extension cord in addition to the outlets and spigot and never received a reply. So instead of having it ready for the detailer I had to go find it when he arrived. Obviously minor, but I would have had it out ahead of time if I knew he'd need it. We will definitely use them for our other car soon!

They were priced on the lower end of other reputable and comparable shops. A week prior to my appointment I got some very hard paint overspray on my one month old 4Runner. As part of their process that all came off. The truck is silky smooth. The spring weather this week brought a ton of pollen, the sticky stuff. As you drive away the air just blows the truck clean. I pulled into the garage tonight after a hard rain and I had to laugh because all that rain water ended up on the floor before the door had closed. And now it looks as shiny as the day I got her coated. It's a pretty awesome treatment and technology. The other benefit with L&M is the follow up care. Quick washes, interior/exterior detail for $100 every few months? Something like that; regardless, a service I will absolutely take advantage of. I wouldn't hesitate associating my name with a positive review of this business. I'm very confident that if I had an issue these guys would make it right.

I paid Laurence to apply ceramic coating to my brand new Kodiak travel trailer. While prepping the…read moresurface, his staff failed to protect the VIN sticker with tape. The sticker was exposed to alcohol spray and the printed numbers were wiped off. If you know anything about RVs, you know this is a pretty big deal as it renders the vehicle ineligible for import into Canada. Fortunately, I contacted the trailer manufacturer for a VIN replacement letter which means at least I can take the trailer across the border for vacation travel but with a greater degree of inspection. Due to this mistake, I will not be able to sell the travel trailer to a Canadian buyer in the future. Furthermore, after several months of using the trailer, I noticed that ceramic coating was only applied to the sides of the trailer. The front of the trailer remains exposed to bugs, dirt, and UV rays. I have reached out to Lourence to see about him completing the job before my upcoming trip to Eastern WA but I don't feel confident that he will be able to resolve this matter in a timely fashion given the trouble I've already had with him. I would not recommend using L&M Detailing for ceramic coating of RVs or travel trailers. I will update this review if timely resolution can be made.

He was very apologetic and explained that there was a schedule mix up that day and he wanted to make it right. I decided to give them another try and booked another appointment with them for 1/9. I was not disappointed. The crew did a phenomenal job cleaning my vehicle!

Perfunctory work…read more Didn't really try to do a complete job. There was dirt between the door and the car, around the door handles, and next to other trim. Spots on the leather. Didn't dress the leather, which it really needed. There were still large stains on the rim under the hood; we asked them to work on it, but they said they couldn't, as it needs a hard brush to remove and they don't use that. Went home, spent 5 minutes with cleaning wax and it was basically gone. See photo for the before, they wouldn't touch this. This wasn't due to a very dirty car. They allocate 4 hours, but only took a bit over 3 hours, so it's not as if they spent lots of time on other parts. When I got home, I spent about 45 minutes completing the work they didn't do. Overall, a pretty meh job, especially for the price. Not horrible, just meh.

Alex did the detailing at my house and worked very hard all day on both cars and they both just looked excellent. I was so pleased with his work. The three years has passed and I'm looking him up again as I have a new car and I want it so immediately, and looked up Alex and luckily found him and then having him come out to do my cars again. I will add to my review of follow up when he gets done with my new vehicle, but this young man really knows what hard work is and really does provide an excellent service. You can't go wrong.
