Words can't describe how disgusted i am with this business. If i could mark this negative five stars, i would likely triple it to fifteen :) So the owner, this guy who goes by "John" likely not the owner but i play along with this delusion just in case he is, promised me a bullet proof suit. Best materials, best tailor, best of everything, WOWWWWW i said, this is too good to be true. I tell only the truth, the absolute truth as i have nothing to lose as the customer. John delivered an absolute sub par product. I mean facts are facts period. I could have bought the material myself from Thailand for ten bucks, shipped it here for 50 dollars and hired my own sweat shop workers for 5 dollars and hour and made a thousand suits that would have been better quality then this guaranteed suit from hell. Five thousand dollars for a guaranteed piece of garment that has been falling apart since day one of non delivery and compliance is an absolute shame. Joke is he "John" continues to keep promising he will fix it as long as i the customer is willing to move up and start purchasing a more expensive, aka twenty five thousand dollar suit from him in the ponzi scheme of bad suits from a large ego, in some place called Richmond hill. WTH??? Am i blind or is he??? Laughing my arse off, what a joke, i mean seriously delusional. II lost my money however my honor dear sir stays in tact and i sleep well every night knowing yours is lost. John pretends he is somebody famous, and not just anyone ordinary, he is the chosen one, perhaps even of Royal descent, with castles in the north, south east and west, women in all places chanting his very name. WOWWWW, can it be him, the guy who promises the best fish, the only fish , the perfect fish, not the stinky fish, i mean the absolute perfect perfect fish. Too bad its not kosher :) Tactics in sales are so lacking, they remind me of a fishmonger selling 90 day old fish to a bunch of hungry cats that love tuna :) Makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Very funny to recall however no sense. HMMMM..... Brother your seriously not well and should seek guidance. Perhaps the church or a priest or something of another realm. I really do wish you well in life. Thank god i have the entire episode on candid camera. Always good to have backup in life. Not happy so i will continue to escalate until the owner AKA "john" understands, don't ever mess with the middle class buddy. We shall see what happens next... I'm going to provide my utmost honest review to this place. I recently brought in an off-rack suit (Hugo Boss) for tailoring (the suit is about half a size bigger than my husband's size). The suit was a gift to my husband and I didn't want to waste it so I decided to go to Bespoke (Richmond Hill) to have it tailored in hopes that a good tailor would be able to tailor it. Moreover, I want to shop for a good tailor so that I could use him/her going forward near where we live (Markham). The suit place that we regularly go to is in downtown so it's not very convenient - we thought since we have an off-rack suit, maybe we could use it to try to see if we could find a talented tailor. The initial consultation was great. The owner and his wife(?) were very positive and charming. I basically asked the owner what he thinks and he was enthusiastic and confident about transforming the off-rack suit to look as if it is custom-made. The cost to have the jacket and pant tailored was $375 (plus tax) - I was fine with the price as I read good reviews online as well as I believe that a good tailor is going to be pricey. The owner jokingly told me "It is a bit pricey but if you want cheap then you could go to a Dry Clean, but we do quality work here." I agreed with him so I decided to go ahead with it. And of course, according to the store's policy, we had to pay the amount upfront in full, which we did. After a couple of days I received a call that the suit is ready. On the day of pick up, my husband was not impressed with the result. I was also disappointed in their work. We have a couple of made-to-measure suits so instantly we can tell the difference. The owner noticed our disappointment and went on a defensive mode and basically told us that the suit's fabric is very boardy and they did the best that they could and asked us to manage our expectations. He basically lectured us and said in the long run we would lose money if we do that. He also told us that we should let him made a suit for us so that we could see the difference and their real quality work. I was furious. First of all, wouldn't an experienced and qualified tailor be able to tell if a fabric is "boardy" on our initial consultation? If he knew that the results isn't going to turn out great, why did he overpromised and charged such a high price and delivered such a poor result? If only he had told us to manage our expectations due to the boardy nature of the fabric, I probably would not spend the money to have it tailored in the first place. What we are mad and disappointed about is not the fact that they did not turn the off-rack suit into a custom-made suit. It is the fact that they overpromised and once they realized we are able to notice the poor tailoring that they did, they blamed the fabric. The real problem with this store is that the owner is dishonest. To be frank, I would have been more than happy to purchase a made-to-measure/bespoke suit from them instead of tailoring an off-rack suit if only the owner were honest about it upfront. In hindsight, it's obvious that they just wanted to make a couple of hundred dollars from us instead of winning long-term clients. Did we argue with him? No. We're classy enough not to make a scene out of it since he had another customer in the store. However, don't expect us go to back there ever again. I will also tell my coworkers/friends/families to stay away from this place. I'm throwing the suit away after I'm done with this review. Can you imagine you purchase a bespoke suit from them and are dissatisfied and then next thing they tell you it is because you didn't purchase the most expensive fabric? The fact that you have to pay upfront indicates the confidence they have in their work - they probably had a lot of unsatisfied customer not wanting to pay after seeing the results. Came across this Men's Clothing shop through a recommendation from a friend of mine. I am beyond impressed with the high quality clothing that The Bespokeman carries as well as makes from scratch. I've never heard of Bespoke Clothing prior, but I had a extremely important engagement to attend and I wanted something unique. This guys sure delivered. The craftsmanship on my bespoke suit is beyond anything I've ever dreamed. I enjoyed the personal and intimate experience. I felt comfortable and relaxed, I was treated like family. I look forward to coming back and getting more pieces done for my wardrobe. read more
