Worst experience ever... you will not be able to get your suit unless you are ready to wait for a year... Ordered a suit in late October last year, and was told that it would be ready in a month. I specifically asked if it would arrive before mid December, because there is a Christmas party that I would like to have the suit for. And they set the delivery date to be the last week of November, and I was told that it will definitely be there before mid December. What happens? The actual suit did not arrive until the end of December... Even at that, the measurement still had issues so I sent it back for alteration. The alteration process basically destroyed one of the shoulder pad... so I was told that they will have a new jacket made for me, which would take "about a month". It is now almost July of the following year...and the suit is still no where to be seen... read more

The team at Empire Customs are top notch! I gave them one week to alter a off the rack suit for a wedding and they more then delivered. The suit was tailored and altered as if it was a brand new suit and was ready just as they said it would be. I will be definitely using them to create some custom suits in the very near future. Terrible experience here. Bought a suit for my wedding and was promised the suit would arrive within 6 weeks. Unfortunately the suit took more 8 weeks, which had me scrambling and nervous. Luckily I budgeted a potential screw up in time and ordered 10 weeks in advance of my wedding. Here's the kicker though, the suit didn't fit me and was unalterable..... I ended up buying off the rack. Lets say I was NOT pleased and would NOT recommend these guys to anyone. Poor service, poor product. read more

was there on Jan 20, 16 to scope out potentially buying custom made suits. Per the website recommendation, I made an appointment and was greeted by "Army". Nice guy with lots of experience including @ Harry Rosen. He took his time showing me the options and fabrics. I never felt rushed and was overall happy with the service. I picked the special of two suits, 4 shirts and two ties and 2 pocket squares for $1650 tax in. The price is unbelievable when you consider it is custom made. He said they would call in three weeks but I had not heard from them as of February 12 so I called and they said it typically takes 3-4 weeks. So I do feel like they set the expectations high and did not deliver. However, the proof will be when I get the clothing. If it is as billed , it will be worth the wait. Neat thing: blue jay dalton Pompey came in while I was there. Very cool and enhanced the experience because of the cool factor. Apparently Bismack biyombo (raptor) was there the other day as well. Be sure to book an appointment as they will turn you away if you walk in. Another note: they said pricing is expected to go up soon because of the dollar and general cost of fabrics. So not sure if the deal I got will still be around. Finally, they expect payment upfront. Wasn't crazy about that (half would have been reasonable) but again, it will be worth it if the clothes look as good as I hope! I will update this review when I get the clothing... Feb 23/16 so I went back and was impressed with the clothes they made. I did my fitting and they are making a few alterations to reflect the nuances of my body. I pick everything up next Friday. They also helped me pick out some ties to go with the shirts I made. They really take this appointment thing seriously so be sure to make one. I was a little late for my appointment and things felt a bit rushed as the next client arrived as i was finishing up. bottom line, I send thanks and kudos to Darren and team. It was my family's first time this summer ordering 6 custom suits for my niece's wedding.. The whole staff, specifically Byron, and the owner, Denis, were extremely helpful and knowledgable in their field.. They made us feel very comfortable and paid full attention to each member of my family. My husband and the rest of the family were so happy with the service and final product that they ended up ordering extra custom made shirts. We will definitely shop here in the future.. Amazing! I got my dad a custom suit for his birthday, his first one! I called to book and was scheduled for the same week. The entire experience was amazing from the delicious coffee they gave me while I watched my dad get his measurements taken, to helping my dad select the fabric and liner for his first custom suit. The suit arrived 3 weeks later and it fit like a glove, no alterations! I've honestly never seen my dad look so good and he told me he hasn't felt that good since his wedding day! We've already ordered his next suit and it was so easy as they already had his measurements on file so we only had to choose the fabric. Honestly I had a pretty horrible experience. We went to order a suit and the guy helping us who will remain nameless, was completely unprofessional, rash and literally measured the suit as quickly as possible. No attention to detail, no thought or care. He was clearly just trying to close and get us out as soon as possible, and seemed annoyed by the questions we asked because the suit needed to be shipped internationally. When the suit did arrive in Germany there was a stain on the "complimentary" pocket square that came with the suit, and of course the suit did NOT fit as well as it should have. They were good about providing new pocket squares to replace the stained one, but the service was again pretty horrible. If anything, I think it was a complete lost opportunity on their part for not recognizing the chance to be recommended and represented internationally. I would seriously think twice before getting your suit from here, or at the very least be VERY clear about the specifications of your suit, and don't let anyone tell you to not worry about it because this is what they do. They completely over promise and under deliver. read more

The customer service is good at the store. However, after measuring and taking my order, they have henceforth disappeared. At the store, a representative told me that the order should be fulfilled in 4 weeks, but it has been 8 weeks now and no one has responded to any of the calls that i had made. The number provided just leads to a receptionist that take messages, and no one has answered to any of my massages after the receptionist told me that she had definitely delivered them. I cannot speak for the quality of the suit but the customer service is so poor that i have to give it a one star rating. -edit: Called dennis and he helped me resolve the issue. read more

First of all, let me just say that they made me a pretty good suit. The tailoring was specific to what I picked out, and the fit was very good. My issue with this place is a lack of customer service. Someone has seemed to drop the ball in that department. Many of my requests for information, receipts, etc. have either been delayed or not answered at all. I also had requested that the suit I ordered be done and ready on a specific date, which was promised to me, but when the date came, the suit was not finished. I'm a pretty easy-going person, so I ended up wearing another suit, but it still bothered me that they were so lackadaisical about it. I am also still waiting for my emailed receipt I was promised, which makes me question their business practices. I was ready to send them many of my friends who are also looking for tailored suits, but I simply don't feel good about recommending them. read more

Finally I found my go to shop for suits. After seeing a lot of lack luster suit stores claiming to be Bespoke and having terrible experiences I finally found a haven for suits in the 6ix. Byron helped me every step of the way. My usually go to shop is King and Bay Clothiers but these guys really showed me an experience and a product I can really be proud to wear. The worse place I experienced was the london "bespoke" club which i recommend staying away from. Thanks EC, I love my suit and everyone else notices your fine work on it. read more

I would not even five a star if I could. First of all, this place is not is Fort York. It is actually located at Dan Lecke condos. It really felt like someone just decided to make the 1st floor their own "custom" meaning "measure people and order it online." They also had a dog in the shop which did not make any sense. They had such terrible customer service. They do not even know the weight of the fabrics. Holt Renfrew and Harry Rosen goes by weight. My fiance and I have been canvassing for a custom suit and basically this place attracted us because of the price. However, you definitely get what you pay for (including terrible customer service). Carlo and Anna was working that day. When we were in the shop, there was a man wearing his custom suit, paid and then left the store. However, when we talked to them, they said that we had to pay the full amount upfront. Their prices changes. It's terrible. This place was unwelcoming and just provided cheap fabrics. Everything was too shady. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more
