I had to leave early because I accidentally forgot my sweater in the car,and they wouldn't let me get it and as ya'll know Hollister nights get pretty chilly. They need to figure out a system to let you go get something just in case.

My boyfriend and I went to one of the Hollister concerts, which was held at Guerra Cellars Winery…read more In fact we went to the last concert of the summer series that featured Fast Times, an 80s cover band, and the Bonfire AC/DC tribute band. I had fun and thought it was a great place to take a date or hang out with family and friends. Definitely great for kids. As we entered from the parking lot, we found ourselves right in the thick of the concessions area. There was only one place to get food, which had tri tip sandwiches, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, and nachos. The tri tip sandwich was surprisingly good. It was so good that I ordered a second. Although this tasted amazing and all, my only gripe about the food was that there wasn't any variety. The bar area had limited types of alcohol as well. They only sold wine, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, White Claw, and Coors. There was a second bar located at the bottom of the hill where the stage was located, and it had similar selections. All seating at this venue was general, because it's basically one big grassy hill. With that said, you'll want to bring a low lawn chair and/or blanket and then find your spot on the grass. There was a dance pit right in front of the stage, and anyone could go down to it. I was impressed by how good the sound was especially for an open venue. We were sitting towards the top of the hill for the most part and were able to hear the singer clearly. The venue itself was pretty. I loved seeing the rolling Hollister Hills in the background behind the stage while the sun set and casted beautiful colors. There was also a clear night sky, so looking up to the stars and the Harvest full moon while rocking out to some favorite classics was truly romantic.

Damn, I gotta say for me, 2025 was a great year for concerts…read more Twenty shows all told, at venues ranging geographically over six thousand miles from Southern and Northern California, to Las Vegas, to Tulsa, Oklahoma and Munich, Germany. It truly was a great year. If you would've asked me on June 1 what was my favorite of the 2025 shows I'd seen I would have said the two Dead & Company concerts I saw at the Las Vegas Sphere. Absolutely incredible shows. But then in October I travelled to Tulsa to see some shows at Cain's Ballroom. I visit Oklahoma every year and I always make it a point to see a show or two at Cain's. This year at Cain's I saw two artists I had never heard of before. The headliner for the two shows I saw was Josh Meloy. He was good, and had a fantastic band behind him. But it was the band opening the show for Josh on the first night that blew me away: Kenny Feidler and the Cowboy Killers. I don't remember the last time I saw a band that I immediately fell in love with so completely. I walked out of that show a changed person. Kenny is a prolific songwriter. He's a former rodeo star and many of his songs reflect that experience. Most commonly Kenny's music is classified as Alt-Country, but I don't actually know what that means. What I do know, though, is rock and roll. And Kenny's band, The Cowboy Killers are a kick ass rock and roll band. First thing I did after seeing him at Cain's was go online to check out Kenny's tour schedule. I was so happy to discover he would be playing some shows in California in December. I had to choose between Costa Mesa and Fresno. Costa Mesa would've been closer but after I checked out the Yelp page for Fulton 55, I instantly knew this would be the place to see a show. And I was right. The venue is a great place to see live music. Security at the door was cool. Inside, the sound was clear and loud, the crowd was chill, and it didn't take forever to get a drink at the bar. Brady Stovall opened the show and I enjoyed his set. I liked how his drummer just used the Cowboy Killer's drummer's kit, so it didn't take long between bands. Kenny Feidler and the boys played a 17 song, 90 minute set that included a blistering, nearly six minute version, of the song Cowboy Killers. Happily, a lot of the songs performed were from Kenny's most recent (2025) release, The Western Tragedy, including Idaho Hippies and The Bronc Fighter. After the show I got the chance to meet Kenny and get a photo. What a great guy! This wasn't the first time Kenny has played a show at 55 Fulton, and inshallah it won't be the last. Whenever that next show happens, for sure I'm gonna be there. Mikey C says: damn right!

Los Lonely Boys Los Lobos Concert, August 1, 2026…read more Nice venue. We really had a good time. We opted for the Terrance Club VIP upgrade. We also did the Round Trip shuttle ride with SLO Safe Ride bus. I'd do it again. The Terrace Club was nice and we met two other couples from Nipomo and Calabasas. We put tables together and hung like old friends until the concert started. The price of alcohol was brutal. $16.00 beer and $19.00 mixed drinks. This did not deter me though! It's the same drink menu outside the Terrace Club with the same ugly prices BTW. The upgraded food was indeed upgraded. Small menu. Flat Iron Steak Dinner with salsa, chili beans, potato salad, and bread. Veggie Pasta Dinner (No thank you) Caesar Salad We split the Flat Iron Steak Dinner and they nailed it with a perfect medium rare. I for one was impressed. I think it was about $33.00. I splurged on 3rd row center seats. The sound was okay. Pretty loud. Duh, it's a rock concert. I think a little farther back would have been better but we had a good time. Unfortunately the tallest man in the world sat/stood right in front of my 5'2" wife. Wife not too happy about that but what can you do? My biggest beef was with Los Lonely Boys. Not wanting to drive back, we chalked it up to one of life's little mistakes and ate what we got. I must say, the chicken was fabulous, smoky and tender. The pork was a bit fatty, but tender and the BBQ sauce was very good.
