Her toenails were poorly shaped, and the Dazzle Dry polish was thick, chunky, uneven, and left on her cuticles. When I asked for it to be cleaned up, I was told "after." For her manicure, she was left sitting in the pedicure chair. It was extremely uncomfortable for her, and the manicure was just as rushed, with poor shaping and uneven polish. We were then hurried to the drying station, where one of her nails was smudged. Rather than redoing it, another employee tried to smooth it out with her fingertip. When I asked if it could simply be redone, I was told, "That will take longer." At checkout, they also refused to honor the 15% senior discount currently advertised on their website and charged me $5 more than the prices listed online. I had hoped to find a salon where I could bring my mom and have her feel genuinely pampered and cared for. Sadly, this was not it. Several of the negative reviews described experiences very similar to ours, and I now wish I had paid closer attention to them. I hope the owner does the same.

There was 3 things that I really liked, no LOVE about Vanessa's hair salon. 1. They are VERY CLEAR about wearing a mask which is such a big thing to me bc I have close family members I live with that have compromised immune systems so it was really nice to know that vanessa and jake made sure to take their customers safety into consideration. Everything was clean and spacious. 2. Jake knew how to take my dark hair (which was a mix of dark brown, black, reddish-orange hair that i attempted to bleach and dye myself) and lighten it using bleach without destroying my hair. My hair feels soft, strong, and healthy!! Plus it looks absolutely fabulous!!! I spent almost an entire day getting my hair done. Throughout the whole process, Jake and Vanessa made sure to check in with how I was doing. I had to bleach my whole head in order for the purple color to show up and Jake was able to lift and lighten my hair as much as possible without damaging my hair. This means so much to me bc a year and a half ago I let a different hair salon bleach my hair and it all fell out because it was bleached improperly. Jake knows the CORRECT way to bleach and dye someone's hair!!! 3. The third thing I really liked was that I immediately felt at ease and comfortable from the minute I walked in. I felt like I was hanging out with my best friends the entire time I was there. I dont plan on going to any other salon again.
