The girl kept looking confused, she didn't know how to texturize & she had no idea what she was doing. Her name was Rez (however you spell it) and that's who I told them I didn't want. They knew she wasn't experienced enough for what I asked and the manager knew it but she went against my wishes COMPLETELY. I hated my hair and I actually showed her how to tezturize my hair. She didn't know how to use the texturizing shears. I did tip her bc I know she was scared and probably 2nd guessing herself but they shouldn't be giving clients to people who have no idea what they're doing. I get EXACTLY what I want, just make sure you explain what you want! Communication is key, and it is always executed beautifully. Take your time to get to know your nail tech too! They're not robots, they're human!! Pricing is very fair in my opinion for the quality I always receive. She told me the price ($125), then proceeded to tell me that she was booked for the next six weeks, and that those clients would want the following six weeks. Not unless someone cancelled their appointment. It's great that you're booked solid for the next six weeks, however all I wanted to do was purchase a gift certificate and the receiver of the gift certificate could determine when she wanted to make an appointment. I know $125 isn't much money...it's just the principle of customer service.

Several people from my office visit the salon regularly and are met with the same. Granted, due to the pandemic, some changes have been made...(I.e., scheduled appts versus walk-ins).. which I happen to appreciate! The salon is clean...and although I can't speak on everyone's encounter, I've witnessed the equipment being sterilized and not merely "washed or rinsed" between clients. Yong has been my tech for years and not only does she do a great job....her personality is infectious, she is entertaining, and is always smiling or laughing!

The Good: They have a very nice, new massage chair. I found the pedicurist to be friendly and maintained conversation the whole time. They had a pretty good selection of OPI and China Glaze polishes, including some 'trendy' colors. She did a very good job getting rid of the cracked skin on my heels (gross, I know!) The Not So Good: The pedicure chair is pretty out in the open, meaning you are right next to a hair stylist and the waxing room, as well as an entrance. I was able to hear conversations from the waxing room while my feet soaked, not the most relaxing environment. There isn't anywhere to really sit and wait after the pedicure is finished, I felt pretty rushed to leave and ended up ruining the polish on one of my toes because it wasn't completely dry. She also left some smudges where polish had touched the skin. They weren't horrible, but not great either. The Bad: When she was removing my existing polish (or at some other point), my cuticle was damaged, leaving a cut. It's no fun getting a pretty pedicure, only to have to wear a bandage on my big toe to avoid anything getting into the cut! If I were to go back, I'd probably ask to not have my cuticles clipped, just to be on the safe side. As a side note, when I was getting my pedicure done, a customer came in who had her hair hacked by one of their newer stylists. I know this can happen anywhere and sometimes stylists have bad days, but it didn't make me feel comfortable going there to get my hair cut in the future. Although, she was coming back to get it fixed by another stylist, who she seemed to trust, so there must be some good stylists in the salon.

However, a 911 hair emergency made me give it a whirl and was I surprised. The inside of the salon is well decorated without being pretentious. Products are well and tastefully displayed. There is a reception area where you are greeted upon arrival. Amanda or Mandy as she is called welcomed me and then began to talk about what I wanted. She genuinely listened and evaluated my hair, making suggestions. My highlights were perfect; not too blonde, not brassy, just a nice natural caramel color. The haircut and style was amazing. I could actually leave the salon and not rush home to redo. Needless to say, I made a return appointment as this is one of the best overall experiences I have had with a hair salon.
