Your experience may be different! I religiously go to the pro nails in amery (same owners and employees) and never leave unhappy. I'm always well taken care of. I get EXACTLY what I want, just make sure you explain what you want! Communication is key, and it is always executed beautifully. Take your time to get to know your nail tech too! They're not robots, they're human!! Pricing is very fair in my opinion for the quality I always receive. I can only speak for my nail tech, Hannah. She listens & shapes my nails exactly as I ask. She's pleasant, FAST and my nails never ever crack, lift or fall off. Even though I don't get in as often as I should, teach art and have 4 active dogs, I've never had a problem with my nails! I love them & enjoy having Hannah as my tech. read more

SCAMMERS : Added $5 extra claiming that the "gel acrylic powder" was stronger than the regular "acrylic powder" ???? that's not a real thing. Made me put my acrylic under the uv light and charged me $5.... also charged me $2 extra because I asked for a third coat of the gel I picked out because it was A LOT lighter than the swatch I picked. I've been getting my nails done for 8 years and I've never had this issue. He also filed my nails crooked af and when I asked him to correct it he told me my nail "just went that direction". I went and got my nails filled and got a pedicure, but they didn't remove the dead skin on the bottom of my feet when they did my pedicure. It's been one day and my feet are dry as brick. They do a good job, but this is unacceptable my heels hurt because I still have dead skin on them. read more

Decided to try the new hire (women)... and I'm not disappointed! She did wonderful! After removing polish noticed a problem under a nail(green) so had to get a new set... she popped them off like they were nothing and with very minimal pain... rebuild my natural nail( they grow downwards) and I have never had such straight nails... she went above and beyond... definitely earned a tip on my part... hopefully she stays for a while... Pro Nails is conveniently located near my work, so I can walk in there on my lunch hour when I need a little prettification. They have a ton of polish colors (and brands - China Glaze, OPI, etc) to choose from, the salon is cheerfully (if not a bit schizophrenically) decorated, and the people who work there are nice. I only go to nail salons for polish changes - one, because I'm cheap ($6!) and because I like my nails to look nice but can't seem to make it happen on my own. The polish from Pro Nails seems to stay on and chip less than the other place I go to, but I can't speak for any of the more complicated nail stuff they do. I am not crazy about the persistent upsell techniques that nail techs typically use, and this place is no exception. Yes, I know about gel polish. No, I don't care that it lasts three times as long. I don't want to pay $20, or be stuck with the same color for three weeks, and I don't want to have to soak the color off my nails in any more chemicals than are already being used in the standard polish remover. Bottom line: if you can withstand the "is better for you" (TM Anjelah Johnson) suggestions, or you're open to whatever they think you should do, Pro Nails is a decent place. I came her to get my nails done for my wedding. With that being said the guy that was doing my nails refused to let me pick out my color before he started, and then when he found out I wa getting married latter that day he trued to talk me out of getting married, even though I told him I know I wanted to marry my husband, when the worker realized that want going to happen he trued to talk me in to letting him do my toenails, I told him not that I had gotten them done a few days ago and they didn't need done he still trued to get me to let him do my toenails. Then he trued to get me to let him do my hair for my wedding, I told him I had family coins into town and they where going to do doing my hair he told me he could do my hair better than they could and seemed upset when I told him that I didn't want him doing my hair. He also didn't size some of my nails right so my hair keep getting pulled when I would scratch my head. He didn't ask me if I wanted full color or if I just wanted the tips colored and just started painting my hole nail. He didn't shape my nails to good in my opinion and he missed part of the nails when he was painting them, along with getting nail polish on my finger, that was no where near my nails. Definitely the worst manicure I have ever had in my life. Yes the pro nails is cheap and large enough that you don't need an appointment, but my nails looked better before I walked in then when I left. The place is grungy, the manicurist watched TV the whole time she was doing my nails, my nails were jagged, the polish sloppy, and she cut my cuticle! Too be honest, I'm not even sure they sterilize their tools. I had my doubts about going there and really wished I hadn't. Ick! Not clean at all. It's not cleaned on a regular basis. There is dust, dirt, old nails everywhere. I didn't see them pull out clean sanitized tools. I will not be going back. I was up sold on gel nails for my toes only to have her to crawl on the floor to paint them. Not impressed and not sanitary. The decor is falling apart, floors are disgusting. read more
