The staff could be more accommodating to handicap clients and when someone asks for a certain way, they want their nails. It should be done that way. If I didn't pay for what they done to my nails, I would be charged for that, but if they don't do what they're paid to do. That's just fine. Someone please help me understand that. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went here last Tuesday 6/29 as I was in a pinch an needed to get my nails done before vacation as I typically go to a place in Greenfield. I got the dip nails which is what Ive been getting the last 3 years - dip polish typically lasts 3 weeks with no chips or issues. Well here I am just over a week and 3 of my nails have chipped and polish is outgrown already. Not to mention while they were doing my nails they were FaceTiming on a call and rushing through completing my nails (I was one of 2 people in there at the time) which left them streaky and uneven - (typically go with oval but ended up reshaping to square when I got home as the shape was so uneven). I had asked her to fix them before I left mind you. This place is unprofessional and their work is unacceptable for the price. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I used to go here often a couple of years ago and they cared way more about there clients then. The store smells horrible I understand acrylic smells but this is the worst I've smelled in a salon. And it's not clean. Grosssss This is from TODAY! I got them done at 6 and it's now 9... this should NOT HAPPEN! They cared more about how many ppl they got done not their work. This place was recommended to me by a friend who's nails always look really good! I went in there today wanting full set with gel polish. I asked for them to be as short as possible, bc i work in healthcare and don't like Long length nails. (Everyone has their preferences) which has never been a problem anywhere else i have gotten my nails done at. they were too long, i asked for them to be shorter and the guy said he was just going to file them. Then were uneven shaped, pointy as hell on one side and dull on the other. He kept rudely telling me to "don't move" when i was literally sitting there breathing not doing anything. Then looked up at me glaring.The nail polish he used was so thick, is was lumpy all over my nails and i had glue/dried acrylic all over my fingers/hands. These are the worst looking nails i have ever had in my life and he had the nerve to tell me they were "beautiful" the picture with the light pink nails are the ones USA nails did. The picture on the right with the darker nails are the nails that i ORIGINALLY expected and asked for. I immediately went to another nail salon called Pro-nails asking them to please just remove the nails i had done. The lady looked at them and told me she could fix them. And Thank god she did!! She listened to exactly what i wanted and took her time to fix them. DO NOT waste your money at USA nails next to Kroger. You'll be disappointed. I'm usually not one to complain for be dissatisfied, but these were absolutely Ridiculous looking and i was not going to waste my time telling them i didn't like them and wanted them fixed, bc who knows what the "fixing" would've looked like. read more

Worst mani/pedi EVER!! I will NEVER go back!! Looks like a 2 year old did them and my skin looks worse than when I went in.

Only reason it gets one star is that I got in right away. The gentleman that help me was super rude. I got scolded if I pulled the wrong foot out of the water. Barely said hello. Terrible customer service. Trust me I don't want to chat but at least make eye contact and say hello. Only was nicer when he got a $10.00 tip on $40.00 service but that was at the end!! The place is dirty and dusty and I know your a nail salon but the baseboards we piled high of nail dust? To top it off one of the employees was watching something on her phone and had it on speakerphone . Really. So unprofessional. Wish I would have read reviews but I was in a hurry. I will never go anywhere else! Once someone goes with me that uses someone else, they define loyal, too. One day there were 7 of us. We had 6 pedis, 1 full set & 3 fills. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU LIKE QUALITY WORK DONE! I arrived there there at 12:45 was sat to soak my acrylics off which persisted to take them 1.5 hours then another 1.5 hours to put a new set. I showed the guy almond nail shape and I got round the shapes were everywhere and looked terrible. When he painted them he got polish all over my fingers. After I finished I got to my car and look d am I couldn't stand the inconsistency of all 10 of my fingernails so I went back in. I explained my issue and he stated " I give you refund" I agreed and requested another lady fix them which she did they were a little better. Then I patiently waited for my refund and they denied me it? I asked why and he stayed "because we fix" all the while 2 ladies came in and complained about their nails, if I could give NEGATIVE stars I would! read more

When I first moved to this area, I always asked ladies where they got their nails done and they always mentioned this place. There are at least three other nail places in Richmond: there's one in the mall, there's a Red Nails and then there's Canterbury Salon and Spa. I have only gone to this one so far and it's been a fairly good experience. I am always paranoid about catching skin diseases and everything, so I am a stickler about cleanliness. They sterilize their instruments in an ultra-violet machine, I was quite happy to see that. The only thing that concerned me was that after I had my pedi done, I was sitting at the naildryer. Not more than 5 minutes after me, another patron had come and sit down at the same chair that I had just been in. I don't think I remember him cleaning out the foot basin, that kind of bothered me. Now, he may have very well done it, but I am not sure. I didn't smell any bleach or cleaning agents or anything. Also, maybe it's me, but the last few times I was there, the polish on my toes had bubbles underneath them. I don't think I've had a smooth finish there for my last 3 visits. Personality wise, they seem friendly enough. It drives me nuts, though, especially when they speak to each other in Vietnamese. You KNOW they're talking smack about you! (There was this one nail salon in California that I used to go to and they were only allowed to speak English to each other, I loved that!) All in all, an OK experience. Not the greatest, but not bad. They do an adequate job. Maybe one day I will try the other places in town and see if they're any better. read more

I have been to USA Nails over the last few years on occasion but the last two times I have gone the customer service has really went downhill. The last time before yesterday I just chalked it up as the nail tech having a bad day. My tech, Tonya was non-stop talking to the slightly older lady another tech who completely ignored her so I had the feeling she was talking about me even though I'm not sure why because it had only been 6 weeks since my last pedicure and I trim in between appointments. It was very uncomfortable. Tonya is usually friendly but this time she actually did not hold a conversation with me at all. Yesterday, I called ahead and ask if they were busy, I was told they were but to come in around 3pm which I did. When I got there the smaller maybe 30ish looking man began barking orders at me. I told him when I set down before I had gel done before but did not want them this time. He seemed irritated. Instead of soaking my nails he buffed the old gel off then abruptly stopped and told me to go wash my hands. I did right away, when I got back he had slid another lady in my chair and was working on her ( I was gone maybe 60 seconds at the most). He stopped and looked at me and told me it would be 14 dollars. I ask what for and again in a sharp, sarcastic tone told me I needed to pay upfront. I told him that his tone of voice towards me was unnecessary. I explained he must be having a bad day but please do not take it out on me. He said he wasn't having a bad day- again in a very short stern voice. He grabbed my hand put some kind of oil on it and very loudly said go pick out your color! I told him to forget it. That I was not going to stick around to be treated so rudely. I got up and walked out. I will never go back. The nail stations were filthy. The plastic partition was so dusty and dirty It was difficult to see what he was doing and he picked up instruments that had been sitting in a basket with other used nail equipment. I suspect it may have not been sanitized. Apparently, this nail business is overwhelmed this time of year but maybe they should be honest and tell people to come back instead of overextended themselves to the point of hating their jobs or their customers. I never have felt so unwelcome in my life. I won't go back. If you do go, wait or ask for the lady that's very petite with long hair usually pulled back. She is quiet but very friendly, thorough and clean. read more

I have been to a US nails in Centerville Ohio and loved it. So I decided to try this one since we moved to this area. The staff was friendly but I was not impressed with cleanliness. The nail polish all seem to be old not a clean bottle on the shelf and not much variety to choose from. I decided to go with gel nails on my toes which he did fairly well. I tried a new process of dipping my nails which the technician was very helpful and friendly but not very good at. After I looked at my nails in the light of day I noticed. I had a lot of red still left on my fingers which does go away. But the mistakes on the nails them selves drive me crazy and unfortunately, I have to deal with on my cruise as I left and cannot go back for another two weeks. But I think I will be looking for another nail shop, and will not be going back to this one. read more

Staff seems friendly enough, but I was rushed through and the whole thing was botched. Nails were applied crooked, and barely filed. The staff seemed to know a lot of the customers coming in so I have to think they can do a good enough job to have loyal customers. For the 3rd time, I made an appointment ahead of time, and they didn't honor the appointment time. I was told there would be a 2 hour wait. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I have never been disappointed in the 4 yrs that I have been going there. All of the ladies that get their nails done where I work all go to USA nails as they find it to be superior quality as well.
