I chatted with the…read morestylist prior to my appointment, sent photos of my current hair, sent the inspiration photos of the color I was looking for. The salon is okay, smallish and cozy. I had a brief wait. As for the services I received? The color I ended up with just looked like I did an all over color and accidentally missed spots, rather than the multicolor look I was going for. It looked nothing even remotely like the inspo photos. And then she proceeded to butcher my hair when I had basically wanted some shaping/cleaning up and then styled it like I was 70. And there was dye all over my hairline and on my ears when I left. I was in such shock I couldn't even say anything. I paid and left. Immediately, I went somewhere else and they fixed the cut as best as they could and cleaned the dye off. They wanted to know who did my hair but I couldn't bring myself to tell them. But, why am I trying to protect someone who did a bad job? I've had better cuts from Great Clips. And I can do a better job my self with coloring my hair. Do I recommend this place? No, absolutely not.

However, a 911 hair emergency made me give it a whirl and was I surprised. The inside of the salon is well decorated without being pretentious. Products are well and tastefully displayed. There is a reception area where you are greeted upon arrival. Amanda or Mandy as she is called welcomed me and then began to talk about what I wanted. She genuinely listened and evaluated my hair, making suggestions. My highlights were perfect; not too blonde, not brassy, just a nice natural caramel color. The haircut and style was amazing. I could actually leave the salon and not rush home to redo. Needless to say, I made a return appointment as this is one of the best overall experiences I have had with a hair salon.

Danielle is fantastic with curly girls, as I discovered is the technical term for women with curls! I had been to so many different stylist in indianapolis searching for more information on how to maintain a curly haired look, and was always disappointed with the same answer that there is nothing "special" to having curly hair. Turns out I was right when I visited Danielle she introduced me to Deva Curl, and took the time to teach me how to properly wash curls while not over doing it with products. She guided me toward a book all about the different curl types that walks you through how to wash, condition and style teaching me so many new things I didn't know I was doing wrong! This experience is what I had been looking for and I left her salon feeling like I had received more knowledge about hair care with a manageable haircut, which is how a salon experience should be. She took her time to make sure she cut my hair according to the fall of my curls, and I could not be happier with the care she put into my new look!

I've never been huge on hair change/color/maintenance lol but had made some poor choices in 2018 and my ends were *fried*. My poor choices took me from silky smooth hair to a mess of frizz. Chloe helped me get my hair to do a complete 180° in the year before Covid and it was in good shape. A few months ago I finally went back for some maintenance and my hair went from pretty great to over the top *amazing* with some of the products she encouraged me to try. The salon gives out big samples and that totally helped me get a solid idea of the products and fall in love with them over time vs a one time use. I honestly can't stop touching my hair which probably annoys everyone around me but it's just so sooooffft lol. I used to dread day 2 and 3 hair because it would be frizzy and unmanageable but now my hair just gets better and better. 100% recommend Vista Belle Salon to anyone. Oh. And Chloe can get this stick straight hair to hold a curl for three days. That's never happens before!!

Went in for a pedicure, which was $30. The Good: They have a very nice, new massage chair. I found the pedicurist to be friendly and maintained conversation the whole time. They had a pretty good selection of OPI and China Glaze polishes, including some 'trendy' colors. She did a very good job getting rid of the cracked skin on my heels (gross, I know!) The Not So Good: The pedicure chair is pretty out in the open, meaning you are right next to a hair stylist and the waxing room, as well as an entrance. I was able to hear conversations from the waxing room while my feet soaked, not the most relaxing environment. There isn't anywhere to really sit and wait after the pedicure is finished, I felt pretty rushed to leave and ended up ruining the polish on one of my toes because it wasn't completely dry. She also left some smudges where polish had touched the skin. They weren't horrible, but not great either. The Bad: When she was removing my existing polish (or at some other point), my cuticle was damaged, leaving a cut. It's no fun getting a pretty pedicure, only to have to wear a bandage on my big toe to avoid anything getting into the cut! If I were to go back, I'd probably ask to not have my cuticles clipped, just to be on the safe side. As a side note, when I was getting my pedicure done, a customer came in who had her hair hacked by one of their newer stylists. I know this can happen anywhere and sometimes stylists have bad days, but it didn't make me feel comfortable going there to get my hair cut in the future. Although, she was coming back to get it fixed by another stylist, who she seemed to trust, so there must be some good stylists in the salon.

I had taken work off that day and everything for that appointment. And all for nothing. And yes, I did curse at your staff member. I said "what the hell are you guys thinking?" "Why can't I be helped otherwise or accommodated? Hell no, I don't want to schedule another appointment." And what do you mean I rescheduled my appointment in March? Your stylist called me and told me ON VOICEMAIL: the day before my appointment told me she was sick. Fast-forward two weeks later . Then two weeks later I call you guys and tell you I might be 10 to 15 minutes late due to a car crash on the highway and you immediately told me to reschedule. You don't even try to accommodate me in anyway so keep lying keep talking lies. That's a damn shame. So I'm so sorry you guys think "hell" is such a bad word. Also this is all after my appointment two weeks before was canceled by your stylist. Never had that done before by a stylist thought. Hell I would've taken a different stylist that day. I would've even waited . But you guys just immediately canceled on me. It seemed like you really wanted to get out of there. It was close to the end of your hours at the salon. Either way, it was extremely unprofessional and instead of accommodating me by having me go to another stylist you guys just canceled my appointment. Very unprofessional they do not communicate well with their clients. I'd recommend a more established place that cares more about their customers and clients. That's a damn shame because I was gonna bring my children there. Oh and I think it's really funny how you guys said that I called and said to you that I was gonna be 20 to 25 minutes late . No one does that. No one says that they're gonna be almost a half hour late and expect to be seen. So right there I hope everyone reading this knows that you're lying. Any normal person would see that's a big bold face lie. But pop off, sis. Also folks notice the language they use "Sorry for YOUR misunderstanding" HAHA! No ma'am, no misunderstanding here. I understand fully what's happening. Thank you for your passive aggressive message. but I've taken my money elsewhere and my $25 tip that I gave your stylist. I will take that elsewhere. And same to you, sis have a good day, matter fact, have a better day!
