I'm embarrassed for my son. I had to go find someone to try and fix the cut as soon as we left because I was not leaving his hair looking like that. I will not be taking either of my children back. Thankfully Platinum Barbershop for offering to fix it for free because of how bad it was.. they got a fantastic tip! That's the place to go!

Walking in, John greeted us and was friendly right off the bat with a warm hospitality that lightened up the room and made our wait worth it. His shop, although small, had a lively feel with plenty to look at, even a small tv to watch. In the chair, John does an excellent job and keeps the same lighthearted conversation and sense of humor throughout your visit, making you feel at home. Both me and my brothers haircuts were done amazing -- we couldn't ask for better!! He used a lot of traditional technique that made for a quality trim that we were both extremely happy with. If you're looking for a barber that will make you feel at home and give you a cut you'll love, go ahead and give John a visit!

She told me the price ($125), then proceeded to tell me that she was booked for the next six weeks, and that those clients would want the following six weeks. Not unless someone cancelled their appointment. It's great that you're booked solid for the next six weeks, however all I wanted to do was purchase a gift certificate and the receiver of the gift certificate could determine when she wanted to make an appointment. Living in an area where strip mall beauty shops…read moreprevail I wasn't uncertain that Art of Hair differed, even though the location was in a loft. However, a 911 hair emergency made me give it a whirl and was I surprised. The inside of the salon is well decorated without being pretentious. Products are well and tastefully displayed. There is a reception area where you are greeted upon arrival. Amanda or Mandy as she is called welcomed me and then began to talk about what I wanted. She genuinely listened and evaluated my hair, making suggestions. My highlights were perfect; not too blonde, not brassy, just a nice natural caramel color. The haircut and style was amazing. I could actually leave the salon and not rush home to redo. Needless to say, I made a return appointment as this is one of the best overall experiences I have had with a hair salon.
