I LOVE THIS SHOP! Best cut I've ever had. My new barber, Kevin Osborn is awesome! He's beyond knowledgeable, expert master barber, salt of the earth family man and fun to talk with! I love this place, the feel, and my overall experience was beyond my expectations. Their follow up system - texts and emails are so helpful. I just started growing a beard and Kevin took great care of me. Frank Williams read more

I've been going here for a little bit now. I went there a few times, went a few other places and decided to come back. My barber is Juan "Chuy" and his attention to detail is head and shoulders above anywhere I've ever been. Worth the money. read more

This place was everything I expected. The walls are adorned with metal art from a local artist, the beer selection is local and the beard grease was the best material I've ever put in my beard. After the precision hair cut I got a hot towel shave with straight razor that looked like my beard was trimmed with lasers. Ryn took my unmanaged beard and made it sexy again. I would recommend anyone who cares about their hair or beard to check this place out. The price for the Ultimate was $30 and I would have paid $40 for the amount of detail that was given to me. read more

It's reminds me of those old school barbers who I always see in movies. Everyone there knows their craft and takes a ton of pride in their work. I make this my realist place especially since everything I go anywhere else I pretty much always leave only satisfied not enthusiastic about my cut. Absolutely I recommend! read more

The Beardsmith - Barbers Near Me - Boise, Idaho

Kevin did a great job cutting my hair. I like that they specialize in men's hair cuts

Adriana changed me from looking like a homeless bum to a presentable professional. Everything about the shave and haircut was top notch. She helped me figure out what look I wanted and showed me how to measure up the beard and keep it maintained. The hot towel neck massage before the straight razor shave made my skin remarkably smooth and even the stubble that grew out later seemed softer than usual. They also provide an array of beard care products. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a barber shop and the adjoining bar doesn't hurt things. read more

This is an amazing place and I can't say enough about the atmosphere and people that work here. When you do decide to get a haircut here I highly recommend you go for the Ultimate. You are already there, why not make the experience that much better and who better to get your fresh cut than from the owner herself, Wendy Rose. When I first walked in I could tell a lot of hard work and soul was put into that place making it the best barber shop in the Treasure Valley. Will be going back again and again. read more

Great place for beard rehab. Awesome atmosphere. Have my next appointment already scheduled.

This was my first time going to a beardsmith. They were referred by a friend and I am blown away. The important thing is quality of service which is amazing. Add in friendly staff, quality products, fantastic atmosphere and it all adds up to = I found a new favorite place read more

I'm very frustrated with you guys.. Of all the barbers I could have gone to in town I chose "The Beardsmith" because I was looking for an experienced barber that specializes in beards. I booked an appointment with Wendy Rose a month and half in advance! The day of my appointment Amy called me and asked if I would be willing to switch to another barber as she was trying to spread out the appointments for Wendy. In my mind I thought maybe something came up for Wendy, so I went against my best judgement and agreed to switch thinking everyone else there is pretty well experienced. It has now become apparent that you were just tossing the new barber a bone by passing him clients. You could have been more transparent and told me he's a newer barber so I could make a more informed decision. I didn't realize how badly my beard was butchered until I got to my car and had a better look. I told Israel I was trying to grow out my beard long and that I was just wanting to clean it up a little. He shaved off the sides of my beard down to about a centimeter in length and left a long goatee. He also destroyed my jawline.. instead of the straight horizontal line to my neck he shaved diagonally from the front up above my jawline up to my ear, and only on ONE SIDE! The other side went horizontal just below my jawline. He also whitewalled above my left ear with the clippers and at the back of my head at my neckline he left one side square, and the other side rounded. My beard was in such bad shape that I decided to shave it down and start over! read more

What an amazing place.. The owner(s) were so dang friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality cut. I really liked how Wendy went over what she was doing with my beard shaping and how I could keep my beard in shape by following a few tips. I also bought some of their product that they make in the shop that was under 3oz so I could bring it home on the plane with me. A+++++++ read more

Love coming here. Kevin is my barber and he does a great job. Everyone is very friendly and for me it's a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. They have great products, the bootlegger is my favorite of their grease line. That said, I like all of their scents and my wife comments on how much softer my beard is. read more

It's the best place in town to get your beard trimmed. Make sure you book an appointment at least a month ahead of time. That's right, a month. read more

I've never had a better barbershop experience. I was from out of town and needed my jug-band beard to be shaped into something civilized. Not only did I leave looking great, but I learned how to better maintain, style, and care for my beard. The ambience, friendly staff, ease of booking, and hospitality only add to the incredible service. This is a top class local business. read more

Good experience with Stephen. First time going there. Very nice place and service was awesome.

Great personality and great customer service! I'm rating a 3 due to the fact that I had to return to get my hair fixed. Also, the cut wasn't exactly what I asked for. Sides were cut shorter then desired. I feel scissors are a better option then using the clippers to cut hair through the comb to get more of a desired length. I unfortunately will not be returning as I was disspaointed in my cut. I wish It was a better cut as the stylist had a Very high rating. read more

3 months ago when we found out we were coming to Boise, I called and made my husband an appointment at The Beardsmith to get the Ultimate Beardsmithing package.. When I had called the girl on the phone told me we didn't need to make an appointment and to just come in. I told her I wanted to make one because we would only be in town for one day.. this morning we show up for his appointment and they say he doesn't have one.. the girl at the counter says "are you sure it's here?" As if I didn't know where I made an appointment. I explained to her what I was told over the phone and she said "we would never say that." well, someone did. The only solution she had was "we can call you if someone cancels" not even an apology, basically just "you didn't make an appointment." We drove from Buckley, Washington and someone on your end messed up. Safe to say we are highly disappointed and they need better reception skills. read more

Best place in town. They do a great job and there products are the best. The beardsmith sells a soap called the shampoo bar which has helped my sons eczema greatly!! We've tried 100s of different products for his skin and this is by far the best his skin has ever looked! Highly recommended for skin issues!!! read more

Came here on my birthday for the "Ultimate Beardsmithing", I was not disappointed. They've cultivated an incredibly relaxing atmosphere with the small shop and cozy atmosphere. Both barbers do incredible work; I went to Wendy and you can tell right away the passion and care she has for her profession. I think the word "profession" is very important here. this is not a job for her or even a career; This is her passion. She lives and breathes men's hair and beards. She takes the same care and attention that a heart surgeon might. It doesn't matter what your hair or beard look like, she can work her magic and make you look and feel like million bucks. The fade and precision looks she specializes are something that is rarely seen anymore and all the more rare in the lazy hair styles that have been made popular by generation of lazy men. The way she'll make you look screams old school cool and as sharp as the straight razors she uses. Every man in Boise should make an appointment with The Beardsmith, You will not regret it. read more

My beard was basically butchered. My neck was cut and burned. Guys I really don't like leaving bad reviews but I must vent it out somewhere right now. I am a serious beard person. I make my own balm and beard oils. I couldn't have been more clear about the look I was going for. And now every time I look in the mirror I feel a knot through my whole chest because I have to start all over in order to fix the mess that was once a beautiful full beard. read more

I love how the Beardsmith has online scheduling for appointments and has since they opened. I love how it has grown from just Wendy to having a second Barber so I have a better opportunity to get in for an appointment when needed. The service and the products are fantastic! read more
