Good selection of beers on tap. Not a bad place to sit outside on a summer's eve - the food is standard pub grub.

I have such mixed feelings about this place. Parts of my experience were fantastic, while others…read morewere underwhelming. The easiest way to explain may be a pros/cons situation. Pros: good location, beautiful views, friendly service. This is definitely the weirdest restaurant experience I've ever had in terms of service - you have to wait to be seated, but then you have to go back upstairs to order your food, bring a buzzer with you downstairs through the garden, and then when your buzzer goes off - back upstairs, gather your hot plates, and bring them to your table on your own. I feel like if you are eating on actual plates (not takeaway style dishware), and you have to wait to be seated... you should have a server. This situation seemed so weird to me. Either way, the people working here are very friendly. Cons: Food is expensive, which isn't a problem, but you are definitely paying for the view, not good food. However, even with a nice view, a $26 spaghetti with cherry tomatoes seems over the top to me. My boyfriend got the fish and chips, and we were both unimpressed with the food. It wasn't terrible, and we were hungry, so we have no regrets, but if you're coming here to chill and enjoy the view - eat before you come. For food and one drink each, my bf and I paid over $80. Bottom line: visit for a drink and a look at the view. Skip the food. Tables are nice and big, so it's a great place to meet up with friends.

The meal was replaced immediately so they really do care. For $26 they should. A pint of Asahi for $16 was a bit over the top but did taste fantastic.

And it should - rumour has it it's the oldest tourist hotel in Australia, continuously operating since 1878. Playing host to royalty and the wealthiest of wealthy in its former life, it's now a perfect place along your roadtrip to stop for a pint, snuggle up to an open fire and thank your lucky stars that you don't have to hop in your horse-drawn carriage to enjoy the Blue Mountains. And hey, if things at the beer garden get a bit out of hand, they still offer accommodation. Word to the wise: portions are *massive* so what you intend to be a "small nibble" of soup and salad will actually be enough to bathe in and subsequently string together Adam and Eve style.

I got lost in history and curiosity as I ventured round trying to find any sort of bistro area. I eventually did ...... it looked like an old 70's type bowling club eatery. It was good enough, just didn't fit the period of the building .... must have been the last renovation .... in the 70's. It had lots of rooms and doors leading to all sorts of nooks. There were a few people around but spread out leaving it without any real atmosphere. I would like to come back one day ..... but may leave it alittle while. We usually come here quite often and enjoy a cheap, tasty feed but not tonight. My dad was FURIOUS…read morewhen they removed the king avocado schnitzel off the menu. We ordered Steak,Pizza and Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken had a side of hollandaise and it was disgusting. Steak came out cold and slightly over cooked, can you blame them tho? we did wait an extra 40 minutes after the pizza and chicken had came out,we had to ask someone to retrieve the steak, who knows how long it would of taken if we didn't ask. Plus the service was horrible. Meals came out 25 minutes apart minimum even tho we ordered at the same time. Staff is lovely though,We cannot remember the name of the red haired bloke who said goodbye on the way out but he is by far the nicest member of the ob. Hoping this review can help them benefit for the better. #bringbackthekingavoschnitzel

You order at one bar and then pick up your food at another. It's very DIY here, no servers. The atmosphere is very much child-friendly-pub style, with a playground and even a jump house for kids (not sure if that's always there or if we came on a good day). Lots of families were around, parents having drinks while their kids chased each other outside. The wedges we got came in a huge bowl. We got a much bigger serving than I expected, which was nice since it ended up being dinner. The service wasn't bad but it wasn't super friendly. There isn't anything terrible about this place, but there isn't anything really great about it either.

They had multiple games on, at least a dozen beers and a few ciders on tap at slightly below average prices. All the standard fare for a hotel, although food came out slowly that's understandable given the place was packed to the rafters. They have deals during the week on food and drinks, but it was still affordable for a weekend night out. After the Tahs won they passed out free chips, which I think were just leftover from the bistro but still a nice gesture. All the staff were really friendly and attentive - they appeared to offer table service for some of the larger group tables, were quick to pick up empties, and made pleasant conversation while filling orders at the bar. It looks like a great place to have group events, and there's a dance floor/dj upstairs if you want to hire it for a private party. One was on the night we were there and it didn't interfere too much with the downstairs shenanigans. Poker room to the back and a beer garden with pool table outside added to the mix of customers. Overall, there's something for everyone here.
