I really enjoyed how the crew members explained the whole process and what to do in case of an emergency, especially when you're up so high. I also felt very secure with the harnesses and with how they distributed all 3 of us across the parasail bar. Once we were up in the air, it was so peaceful and nice to just take everything in and experience being so high above the ocean. And best of all, we were able to spot a seal swimming by, which was really cool! Apparently, we were the only parasailers from our little boat crew who got to see marine life while up above lol. For our ride, we also ended up getting the photo package. Upon viewing the photos, I thought they were alright. I think maybe next time, I'd just go without getting the photo package :/ But other than that, everything was pretty nice! :)

The rental gear, including the dive lights, was in excellent condition, and Dave's safety briefing was thorough and professional while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable. The highlight of the dive was a curious harbor seal that followed us for much of the dive, using our lights to spot and catch fish along the way. Seeing the dive park come alive after dark was a completely different experience from diving it during the day. I highly recommend Diving Catalina for anyone wanting to experience the magic of a Catalina night dive.

You can buy extra tokens for when the office is closed but the showers may be open. Different operator this year. Old, stained and shopworn but it usually works and seems to be clean. Read that: Usually works. Needs a major plumbing overhaul because of malfunctions and shut downs.

We took a ride circuit vehicle to this overlook and got dropped off here so we could walk around and really soak in the spectacular views! This is a great spot to get way to see the city, mountains and ocean, while then taking a walk down to the city afterwards. We really enjoyed this overlook and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the island - it did not disappoint!

I think more tourists need to know about this gorgeous Buena Vista Point Scenic Outlook on Wrigley Rd. This is the spot for hikers and hilltop scenic view lovers. It's located on the far upper left side if you're looking at the island with the casino on the far right. Yes, you would have to hike up some streets/hills, passing by the lower terrace/middle terrace/upper terrace paths, but it's fairly easy to get on foot if you want to walk/hike 25-30 minutes from the boat docks to get up here. You will pass by a street that goes to Mt Ada/breakfast/brunch hotel area. Keep going up following Wrigley Rd. There's some history if you research William Wrigley Jr., popular Wrigley gum entrepreneur. Rich/wealthy area. Homes costs millions of dollars on this island. Perfect for morning strolls before the hot sun comes out. Saw beautiful townhouses/apartment complexes/church/island homes along the way. You really get the island experience by walking, observing & feeling the nature in person. This is perfect for photographers and adventurers. Highlights recommended. Most tourists would rent carts to drive up here on the slopes, but in my opinion, this is a much easier hike for the average person compared to the other far right side of the island (from cruise ship view) towards Chimes Tower. That hike was much more strenuous and takes a lot longer to achieve. Breathtaking views. It's definitely worth the expedition if you are up for it. If you drive up here, visitors tend to just park near the edges of the roads to stop for photos. It can get busy around here.

A really fun 18 hole miniature golf course right in the heart of Avalon. It's the only miniature…read moregolf course in town, but even if there were others, this one would still be worth visiting. It's laid out pretty well, is all outdoors but has a lot of tree cover and is fairly close to the ocean which is certainly not common for the usual mini courses. It's $15 for adults and the staff member at the window was very polite. We were playing as two adults who were just looking for a way to kill time during our three day visit to Catalina and honestly had a great time. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the island and I would play again in the future because the course was pretty well maintained aside from some debris around. Give it a try!
